Today, I’m going to provide an independent review of Youngevity. Please know that I am not affiliated with the company in any way, nor have I ever been in the past. All information in this post is from independent research.
About the Company
Youngevity is a multi-level marketing company specializing in health and wellness products. The company has been in business since 1997. It was started by Dr. Joel Wallach. The company headquarters is located in San Diego, California.
It currently does business in the United States, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore. It is a member of the Direct Selling Association and Better Business Bureau. They are one of the top 100 direct selling companies in the world.

What I’d like to do in the paragraphs below is cover what I believe are the top 20 Youngevity products of all time. This list comes from online sales, online reviews and independent research. Keep in mind this is just my opinion and our views may differ.
20. Projoba Probacillus Plus
This product is a nice blend of natural essential strains, including bacilli, which is especially formulated to promote natural intestinal balance. It is also for people who have consumed foods that are harmful for the digestive system, like pasteurized dairy products, soy, gluten, etc. Root Beer Belly is also beneficial when you want to combat food poisoning or any other kind of stomach bugs. One dose contains 5 billion probiotic bacteria.
18. Ultimate Classic
Ultimate Classic offered by Youngevity provides majestic earth plant derived minerals reaching up to 77 minerals from ancient plants in the form of unaltered colloidal. In addition to this, it also provides a complete assortment of key nutrients and vitamins that are essential for optimal health. Adults can mix one fluid ounce of Ultimate Classic per 100 pounds body weight for one or two times daily and children can take one teaspoon per 20 pounds body weight daily. Remember to not exceed over one fluid ounce.
17. Ultimate Mineral Caps
One dose of Ultimate Mineral Caps includes 60 Organic Trace Minerals that are derived from prehistoric plants, which were preserved and compacted millions of years ago. This gave birth to a rich deposit of mineral shale, situated in Utah. The one unique thing about this mineral shale is that its minerals are not yet wholly broken into inorganic material. However, there is much better substitute to this product which is Imortalium, that is also provided by Youngevity. Cell Shield RTQ is only different from Imortalium, as it has two other potent antioxidants, which are turmeric root extract and quercetin. People prefer Cell Shield RTQ over Imortalium because of its low prices. One dose of Cell Shield RTQ consists of a massive 200 mg of resveratrol.
15. Ultimate Killer Biotic Fx
Ultimate Killer Biotic Fx offered by Youngevity is a phenomenal blend of super foods and immune-modulating herbs. This immune support formula is very beneficial for the body due to its ingredients like colostrum, cordyceps, reishi, garlic, propolis, etc. All these ingredients help in improving your immune system, if this product is taken regularly for a long period of time, and not only when you fall ill. Also, you should use this product preventatively.
14. Ultimate Flora Fx
This proprietary blend of pro and pre-biotics is made to promote and maintain optimal nutrient absorption, metabolism, and healthy digestive function. It also comprises of prebiotic GDL (Glucono Delta Lactone), which is a patented naturally-occurring agent that helps in nourishing the useful bacteria in the small intestine and thus promotes intestinal health. Besides these ingredients, Ultimate Flora Fx also contains lactobacillus acidophilus, bifidobaterium infantis, bifidobaterium bifidus, vegetable stearate, and vegetable capsule. Human body requires some amounts of selenium, in order to perform various functions like synthesizing antioxidants that protect the body against free radicals, which can damage the cells. Since, selenium is a component that cannot be manufactured by your body, it must be acquired through supplements or diet. Ultimate Selenium does just that and provides the body with selenium vitamins and other nutrients and trace minerals that promote good health. Selenium is a vital antioxidant for your body that protects it against cell-damaging free radicals. Apart from selenium, Ultimate Selenium also consists of vitamin A, vitamin D-3, vitamin C, vitamin E, copper, zinc, chromium, aloe vera gel extract, L-aspartic acid, bilberry fruit extract, gelatin powder, vanadium, magnesium silicate, and gelatin capsule.
11. Slender Fx Sweet Eze
Slender Fx Sweet Eze provided by Youngevity is formulated to nutritionally promote the regulation of blood sugar levels in your body. It comprises of supportive herbs and chromium vanadium that assist in regulating the body’s blood sugar levels. Its main ingredients are chromium, which is clinically known for promoting healthy blood sugar levels and the time-tested botanicals, like jambolin seed extract, bitter melon fruit extract, and cinnamon gymnema leaf extract. Apart from these, other ingredients of Slender Fx Sweet Eze include cinnamon bark, gingeng root, L-aspartic acid, vanadium, magnesium stearate, and gelatin capsules.
10. As Slim As Possible
As Slim As Possible, also referred to as ASAP in short, comprises of a proprietary blend of amino acids and protein fractions that help in releasing adipose fat storage from your body, so that they can be used as fuel by your body. It consists of vitamin B6, niacin, vitamin B12, grain alcohol, water, stevia, and natural flavors. You can take 0.75 ml of ASAP three times a day. Remember to not eat or drink anything for at least 15 minutes after or before taking these drops.
9. Projoba Omega
This natural marine lipid concentrate consists of valuable Omega-3 vital fatty acids, namely DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) and EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid). One of the ways the company promotes itself is through their Get Skinny Contest. In essence, the contest offers a way to create a friendly competition between distributors and customers, to get publicity for the company, and also to offer a great way to generate more sales in your team.
Both distributors and customers can enter the Get Skinny Contest. To get started, all they need to do is to fill out an application online, purchase a Slender FX® Weight Management System, take some before and after photos and provide a testimonial when they are finished.
According to the official website, you must be 18 or older to participate. The Corporate Committee will pick the winners each month. The company gives away lots of cool prizes such as free products, Reebok® gear and even paid trips.
I’ve found that contests are a great way to build momentum and growth in any business. You can leverage the Get Skinny Contest to get more product orders from your current customers and distributors, to create a friendly competition with current distributors, and to make more money.
Best of all, you can participate in the contest yourself to lose weight and improve your health. And you can help others do the same. Simply put, it’s a win-win situation for everyone involved.

Dr. Joe Wallach
Dr. Joe Wallach is the man behind Youngevity. His famous book “Dead Doctors Don’t Lie” has changed the way that many people think about health and preventative health. He has his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and he also holds a Doctorate in Veterinarian Medicine. He is NOT a medical doctor.
In 1991, he was a Nobel Prize Nominee in the medicine category. He teaches a lot about nutritional deficiency and the importance of supplementing your diet with the right nutritional supplements. You can read his biography here.

The Compensation Plan
Youngevity is a uni-level compensation plan, which means you can personally sponsor as many people as you would like on your first level. Basically, you get paid to do two different things: retail products and build a team of distributors. The top earners typically build large teams of distributors and have ten to twenty personal customers. I believe the compensation plan is balanced for the new person and top earner.

Youngevity Success Tips
If I was going to share a few success tips to build a profitable Youngevity business, this is what I would recommend you do:
# 1 Use the Products
Be your own best customer and use all of the company’s products. Be a product of the product. This will help build up your belief in the company and products. After all, if you don’t use the products yourself, how can you ask anyone else to?
# 2 Find a Few Customers
You don’t need hundreds of personal customers, but you should make it a goal to maintain two to five loyal retail customers at all times. This helps cover the cost of your order and covers some of your business expenses.
# 3 Sponsor 2-4 New Distributors Monthly
Make it a goal to add two to four new distributors each month yourself, if you are doing the business part-time. If you are doing it full-time, make it a goal to sponsor 15 new distributors each month. This helps replace people who drop off.
# 4 Work in Depth
Build depth. Learn how to taproot and work THROUGH the people that you sponsor. Once you sign someone up, help them sign up someone in their first 24 to 48 hours and then go work with that new person. Keep repeating this process over and over. The deeper you work, the more secure your team and income.
# 5 Develop a Daily Mode of Operations
You need a work schedule. You need a daily mode of operations. You need to plan out each day the night before and determine EXACTLY what you will do to move your business forward. Make sure you focus on the income producing activities (talking to people) rather than getting stuck doing busy work.
# 6 Be Persistent and Consistent
You must be persistent and consistent for several years. Most new businesses of any kind take a year or two to get profitable and five or more years to be stable and successful. Don’t keep starting and stopping. Being persistent and consistent is key to your long-term success.
# 7 Do a 90-Day Blitz
When you are just starting your business, do a 90-day blitz. This creates momentum and excitement in your business. A 90-day blitz is when you dig deep and do more in 90 days than most people do in a year. Your goal is to sponsor at least 20 to 30 people in that 90-days so you have some people to work with.
How to Sponsor More Youngevity Reps
What I’d like to do with you is share five simple tips to help you sponsor more Youngevity reps. I hope you find the information helpful.
# 1 Focus on Your Target Market
Every business has a target market. Youngevity is no different. Your target market for the products are people already buying health products who have the money to do so. These are the people you want to approach. When it comes to the business, your target market is other network marketers, small business owners, and professionals. By all means, you can talk to anyone and everyone, but spend a majority of your time prospecting and marketing to people in your target market.
# 2 Talk to More People
Another way to sponsor more people into the business is to make more exposures. This business is a numbers game. What you lack in skills you can make up for in numbers. If you’re currently approaching two people per day, start contacting 4 people per day. The more exposures you make the more people you will sponsor.
# 3 Improve Your Skills
People join people, not businesses. People will evaluate you just as much as they do the business opportunity you are sharing with them. Improve your skills whenever you can. Be a person of value. Fine tune your leadership, communication, and people skills. Be someone worth joining.
# 4 Do a Better Job Following-Up
Most of your prospects will need minimum five to ten follow-ups before they join your team. Stay in touch frequently. Never use pressure or hype, but be disciplined and consistent with your follow-up and always ask your prospects to buy or join every time you talk with them.
# 5 Focus on One or Two Lead Generation Strategies
Rather than try to do 100 different things to generate leads, find one or two strategies that make sense to you and focus on those. Learn everything you can about those strategies until you master them. At that point, you expand and also try other lead generation strategies. Focus is key.
Final Thoughts
After reading this entire post, I’m sure that you can see that Youngevity has a lot of good things going for it. Based upon my analysis, I would say it is a great company to partner with for the long haul. They are an established network marketing company. They have a great product line, a fair compensation plan, a good reputation, good company leadership, and strong financial backing.
If you decide to join this company, I will tell you what I tell everyone. First of all, start out as a customer first to try out the products. If the products don’t make sense to you, neither will the business. If you “love” the products and want to promote the business opportunity, find someone in the company who is successful and ask them to be your sponsor. Choose your sponsor wisely.

Like other commenters here, I am not familiar at all with Youngevity. From everything you wrote about this MLM company, it sounds like it would be a good business to start.
I do agree with Chuck that a person should try the products before ever trying the business. If you like the products, you are probably a candidate for a distributorship; but if you are not a fan of the products, it wouldn’t make sense in trying to sell them.

I have been hearing a lot about these health challenges (not necessarily with this company) lately and I must say I am interested. I know I could probably benefit from one of two of them and the fact that you have featured this company gives me a place to start looking. As far as their business model is concerned, it seems that there are many opportunities to be compensated which means that it can fit all different types of people. I also think that being a product of the product is the first thing that has to be done in any company in order for the seller to be believable and do a good job at promoting/marketing.
Health Challenges are definitely very popular in the MLM world. I’m doing a health challenge in my own company and I’m down almost 20 pounds. It’s amazing.
Interestingly (and maybe embarrassingly), I’ve heard the name Joel Wallach tossed around many times, but had never heard of Youngevity. But now that I know quite a bit about them, the products they sell, and their approach to MLM, I could see myself joining on to a health & wellness company like Youngevity. It isn’t all that common for a major MLM company to have a good reputation, considering so many get their names shoved around in the mud. Also, they’ve got a wide product line that caters to a broad range of lifestyles. Now that I know about Youngevity, I’ll keep an eye and an ear out for news about them!

I haven’t tried Youngevity but it seems like a solid MLM company with a product that users believe in. Their compensation plan is appealing because although it isn’t as glamourous or promise quick wealth, it seems solid and supports the product and distributors. Sometimes less is more and Youngevity has a solid business foundation.
