You can study top earners from any company in the network marketing industry and you will find some similar trends.
Yes, they all have different personalities.
Yes, they all have different backgrounds and experiences.
That being said, there is ONE thing they all have in common.
What is that one thing?
They worked the numbers.
They made the exposures.
The recruited enough people to find their key people.
I watched a great YouTube video by Nathan Ricks recently.
It’s titled “Driving Lines.”
If you haven’t watched it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out after you finish reading this blog post.
It’s about two hours long, but it is absolutely jam-packed with great content and tips.
This is probably the 20th time I’ve watched the video.
Every time I watch the video the advice makes more and more sense to me.
Nathan is a top producer in Nu Skin and he’s earned MILLIONS over the past few decades.
He’s been with his company more than 25 years now.
He’s a man’s man and he knows what he is talking about.
To clarify, I am not affiliated with Nu Skin, nor have I ever been in the past.
I just think the lesson he talked about in the video will benefit any rep from any company.
Nathan shared some interesting statistics in the video about what the top earners in his company did to make it to the top ranks.
He said that the top earners, on average, sponsored 151 people personally in a three year period of time, to get to the top.
That’s it. That was their secret to success.
If you were to break that down one step further, that is an average of a little less than one new recruit each week.
I personally believe that ANYONE, even part-timers, could sponsor one new distributor per week, if they would set aside ten to twenty hours per week to build their business, work the numbers, and be consistent.
Most distributors over-complicate this business.
This business is a numbers game and success boils down to talking to people.
The person who makes the most exposures is the person who wins and makes it to the top.
Yes, skills and strategy also help, but you can make up for in numbers what you lack in skills.
As you improve your skills, you can talk to fewer people and get even better results.
Nathan went to say that if you simply talked to just THREE people a day, every day, you could sponsor one person each week.
I couldn’t agree more.
Assuming you talk to three people per day, that is 21 new prospects per week.

If you can’t sponsor one out of twenty people that you talk to you are doing something wrong and need to fine tune your approach, or talk to better prospects.
Most people in our industry don’t even share the business with one person a MONTH, let alone prospect three new people per day.
And then they wonder why their business isn’t growing.
If you want to succeed in network marketing, you must work the numbers.
You must commit to approach minimum THREE people per day.
Once again, anyone can do that, if they choose to.
Three a day will keep the blues away.
Most of us come in contact with well over 100 people a day, without even realizing it.
All you have to do is be nice, put a smile on your face and talk to the people.
If you talk with enough people you will find people who ARE keeping their options open.
Not everyone is looking, but you will find enough people who are looking to build a big business.
People need what you have. It’s your responsibility to share it with them.
Can you do that? Absolutely.
Will you do that? I’ll let you decide.
