Top 8 Vacuum Cleaner MLM Companies

I can just picture it…

Caveman’s wife: “You keep dragging in dirt to the cave house when you come back from hunting. I wish there was some kind of tool to clean up your mess.”

It would be centuries later before someone helped out the lady of the house with a device to help pick up the crap we men (and children) drag in.

It would be a vacuum cleaner.

In the late 1800’s, an inventor in Iowa by the name of Daniel Hess built a manual vacuum cleaner using bellows and a rotating brush.

Seeing a huge market, inventors went to work. By 1900, various vacuum cleaners were developed and since that time, vacuum cleaners have been invented that can suck the sub-floor out of a house.

Many vacuum cleaner companies decided to use a direct sales or, MLM business model.

So, in today’s post, I am going to share the top 8 vacuum cleaner MLM Companies. If a vacuum cleaner business is what you would like to have, you can see the links to these company websites in the reference section at the end of this post.

Top 8 Vacuum Cleaner MLM Companies

Starting with #8 and working up to #1, here is my opinion of the top 8 vacuum cleaner MLM Companies.

#8: TriStar

Headquartered in Bristol, Virginia, TriStar has been around since 1937, originally as Interstate Engineering Corporation.

TriStar acquired the company in 2000 and they manufacture various products used for home cleaning with vacuum cleaners at the top of the list.

Their most popular vaccum cleaner is the TriStar CS canister series vacuum.

#7: Cosway

This Malaysian MLM company was founded in 1971 and is a leading supplier of goods in Asia and South Pacific.

While Cosway manufactures and sells a wide range of products, vacuum cleaners are on their product list.

Known for impeccable customer service and a fair direct selling system, Cosway has been moving into other markets.

I expect Cosway will continue to grow.

#6: Lux International

In business since 1901, Lux International has developed high quality filtration and cleaning systems that are loved by many.

The Lux vacuum cleaners are designed to not only clean your floors, they also clean the air as you are vacuuming.

Lux International is headquartered in Switzerland and sells their products all around the world.

#5: Eureka Forbes Ltd

Eureka Forbes is a direct sales company based in India. Founded in 1982, Eureka Forbes is the premiere company selling vacuums, water and air purification and home security.

This company supplies nearly all of India as well as many other parts of Asia and Europe with vacuums and other home care products.

It has also created a structure where citizens of India can manage their own home based business and help them find financial security.

#4: RexAir

Many years ago, I was affiliated with this company.

Yes, I went door to door selling the infamous Rainbow vacuum cleaner.

With its unique design, the Rainbow vacuum cleaner would trap particles in water including airborne dust as you are vacuuming your floors.

RexAir was founded in 1932. It was the Great Depression, but people still had to clean their homes.

RexAir is based in Troy, Michigan and sells their products worldwide.

#3: Aerus Holdings

You may not be familiar with the name Aerus, but you have probably heard of Electrolux.

Aerus Holdings, who makes vacuum cleaners and sells them through independent distributors, used to be named Electrolux.

In 2000, the Electrolux name was sold to a Swedish group and the name was changed to Aerus.

Aerus makes great vacuums, water filtration systems, air filters and more.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Aerus is a great vacuum cleaner company.

#2: Kirby

If you have ever owned or used a Kirby vacuum cleaner, you will probably exclaim that it is the best vacuum cleaner made.

While I agree, the price of a new Kirby reflects that extreme quality.

There are so many accessories you can get with a Kirby that I believe you may be able to cut all the wood and construct a house with this vacuum cleaner.

Okay, I may be exaggerating slightly, but they ARE amazing machines.

The original company… Scott Fetzer Company… was founded in 1914. It became Kirby in 1935, and the headquarters are in Cleveland, Ohio.

#1: Vorwerk

I know many people will tell me the Kobold vacuum sold by Vorwerk independent distributors is good, but not as good as a Kirby.

That may be true, but there are gobs more Kobold vacuums sold weekly than are Kirby’s.

Vorwerk has been operating since 1883. The company does not just sell vacuums. They have a wide range of products in:

  • other household appliances
  • cosmetics
  • carpeting
  • and much more

Headquartered in Wuppertal, Germany, it would be safe to say that 80% of European homes have at least 1 Vorwerk product in their home.

Vorwerk rightfully deserves the #1 spot and it is highly unlikely any other company will knock them out any time soon.

Conclusion

Originally, I was going to make this a top 10 article. But finding MLM companies that sell vacuums isn’t easy.

Do you know of any others? These 8 are all I could find.

So, truth be told, competition levels are lower in the vacuum MLM business. That is something you may want to consider if you are considering a home based business.

But do keep in mind that a person can buy a “cheap” vacuum of Chinese origin making it somewhat more difficult selling the higher priced MLM varieties. The key is selling the benefits and value!

I hope you learned something today. Do you have any questions or feedback? Post them below. Thank you and may whatever MLM business you choose be a huge success!

  1. Hi. I have tried a few vacuums over the years on the list (Electrolux, Kirby, Rainbow), yet I have not been overly impressed with any of them. While they were better than cheap store bought vacuums which we have tried (Dyson, Bissell, Miele), they weren’t as good as is reported. A couple of years ago we saw a FilterQueen demonstration and were quite impressed with what we saw. It seemed to address all the problems we had with the others. Although not cheap in price, we felt the quality and performance was worth it. We also purchased the air purifier FilterQueen made as well. After having and using this vacuum and air purifier now for a couple of years, I can honestly say it’s the best vacuum I’ve ever used. After researching, I found the FilterQueen was the only vacuum that actually filtered the air coming out of the exhausts. While other vacuums also claimed this, they actually only used HEPA filters in their vacuums, which are far less effective at trapping small particles of dust. The FilterQueen vacuum we have works incredibly well. They have lots of power and we only dump the canister once a month. The vacuum doesn’t seem to lose power. Best of all the Filter is clean inside, which means no dust is coming out the exhaust, which is a blessing as we both suffer from bad allergies. After using the FilterQueen vacuum, i am convinced it’s the best vacuum I have ever used. I am shocked that you have not listed it in your list of top vacuums. Have you heard of the FilterQueen vacuum before, or are you endorsing the vacuums on the list you provided? You really need to revise your list. The only complaints I have about my FilterQueen is the price (but it was actually almost the same price we previously paid for our Rainbow and Electrolux. My husband said he thought we paid even more for our ridiculously heavy Kirby, but I can’t remember). Out of all the top vacuums we had over the years, here is how I would rank them:
    1- Filterqueen (most powerful)
2-Electrolux (less powerful and awkward to go around walls, etc..)
3-Kirby (not as powerful as we thought, very heavy and very hard to use)
4-Rainbow (not powerful, real hassle to change water every 10 minutes or so, cheaply made, messy to clean)

  2. Thanks for the list Greg, Kirby is the brand that sticks out when going through your list. Looks like there could be a few hidden gems there, I’ll check them out!
