Treat Every Day of the Month Like the Last Day of the Month in Your MLM Business

Some of the best MLM Advice I ever heard was to “treat every day of the month like the last day of the month.”  In other words, you need to have a sense of urgency in your network marketing business.  Pretend  that every day of your business is the final day before the end-of-month deadline and you have to turn it up five notches to finish strong and hit your goals.

You need to wake up every single day and do the money producing activities.  You need to stop procrastinating and do what you know you should be doing: prospecting, showing the plan, following up, getting customers and training your team!

From personal experience, I can tell you that most of my volume in my group happens during the last week of the month.  This happens EVERY month.  Everyone on the team is trying to make that final push to get to the next rank advancement and beef up their bonus check.  Everyone knows the deadline, month end closeout, is quickly approaching so they do the activities they know they need to do to succeed in their business.

How about you?  Do you treat every day of the month like it’s the final day of the month or do you procrastinate most days, and then pick up the pace the last few days of the month?

What would your business look like if starting today, you had a sense of urgency with your business?  In other words, what if you woke up every single day and said “I am going to focus on my business for two hours today?”  I’m going all in!  And what if you only did money producing activities during those two hours?  Do you think your business would explode?  I do.

Starting today, I encourage you to have a sense of urgency with your network marketing business.  Act like today is the last day of the month and you still need 1,000 POINTS to hit your next rank advancement.  Make a short to do list of the two to three BIG GOALS you want to accomplish in your business today and make it happen.

What can you do to make this happen?  Here are a few examples.

  • Call an extra five prospects every day
  • Follow up with two people who dropped out
  • Prospect five to ten people
  • Connect with your three most serious people and give them some added motivation
  • Call up your customers and offer them a special promotion
  • Find one new customer
  • Call someone on your chicken list
  • Call up 1-2 people who are sitting on the fence and need an added push
  • Set up at an event to generate some new leads
  • Attend a networking event
  • Publish a few newspaper ads to get some added exposures
  • And anything else you can think of!

By having this sense of urgency every single day, your business will take on a life of its own. Your business will grow and your results will be amazing.

Without a doubt the number one reason people don’t get the results they want in this industry is they don’t put in the work and they don’t have a sense of urgency.  Most people procrastinate!

My best advice to you is to act as if every day of the month is the last day of the month!  Go all in every day!  Do that and you will be amazed at what happens in your network marketing business.

  1. It has always been a pet peeve of mine when people put off things to the last minute. I am a person who likes to get my tasks done quickly so that if there is an issue, I am not “jumping through flames” to get it fixed.

    I have always been the type who believes that it is much easier to get things done and then relax, instead of relaxing and then hurrying to catch up. I have found that the majority of people fit into the last category.

  2. I agree with the sentiment of this post completely. You should always be doing something productive in order to grow your business. I find it funny when people sort of muddle through their MLM work and then complain about how their earning are low or team membership is lacking, as if those things just magically happen. You control the path your business takes based upon what you do so make sure you do something that will benefit the business.

    • People would do much better and accomplish more if they had a sense of urgency.
