Top 24 Bob Proctor Quotes

# 1: Consider this – money will have a greater influence on your life than almost any other commodity you can think of.

Money is very important. You need money to buy food, build highways, build churches, get an education, etc. Money is GOOD. It’s what you do with it that matters most. The only people who say money isn’t important is people who don’t have any.

# 2: Ninety-five out of a hundred settle for whatever they get, wishing they had more all the way from the cradle to the casket, never understanding they could actually have had all they wanted.

If you want something in life, you have to go get it. The things you want won’t just come to you. Decide what you want, make a game-plan, and get to work, and you can have just about anything you want in life.

# 3: Money is an effect and it must always be earned.

We get paid based on the value we bring to the marketplace. The only way to make more money legally and ethically is to offer more value to the marketplace.

# 4: You should realize that people don’t feel comfortable about money because they have it; they have it because they feel comfortable with it.

You must master money in your mind and thoughts if you want to earn it and keep it.

# 5: Remember, it is an absolute law of your being, that you must have something mentally before you will ever have it physically.

You must become successful in your mind before you can become successful in your physical world. Your outer world is a reflection of your inner world.

# 6: You must begin to understand that the present state of your bank account, your sales, your health, your social life, your position at work, etc., is nothing more than the physical manifestation of your previous thinking. If you sincerely wish to change or improve your results in your physical world, you must change your thoughts and you must change them immediately.

Thoughts are things. We become what we think about. Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want.

mind and your physical world

# 7: If you can see it and believe it – you can do it.

Whatever you really believe you can achieve, you will achieve!

# 8: … Money is a reward for service rendered.

We get paid based off the value we provide in the marketplace. The only way to make more money is to serve more people, or serve people better than we currently do.

# 9: Act like the person you want to become.

What wonderful advice. Do that long enough and you will eventually become the person you want to be. Remember, the attitude comes before the paycheck.

# 10: … No amount of reading or memorizing will make you successful in life. It is the understanding and application of the wise thought which counts.

Knowledge is overrated. What’s important is APPLIED KNOWLEDGE. You can study HOW to do something until the cows come home, but until you go out and apply that knowledge, nothing will happen.

# 11: If you can show me a person who achieves great things, I can show you a person who has great faith in himself and in his ability to achieve what he imagines.

You must believe in yourself if you want to be successful in life. You can either be your own biggest critic, or your own biggest fan. Choose wisely young grasshopper.

# 12: Doubts, fears, pessimism and negative thinking poison the very source of life.

Think positive. Get rid of your stinking thinking and replace it with positive, happy thoughts.

act like the person you want to become

# 13: Let me repeat – there never is, and there never has been any lack of supply other than that which we have created for ourselves because of our own limited awareness.

There is abundance everywhere. When one person succeeds, it’s not at the expense of someone else who fails. There is plenty to go around for everyone. You just have to claim what you want and go get it.

# 14: As you think, that is what you become.

Thoughts are things. Choose your thoughts wisely.

# 15: You automatically like people who cause you to feel good.

This is why people get so excited when they start dating someone new. That person is head over heels about them and is interested in them. It’s hard not to love someone who loves you, or like someone who likes you.

# 16: Everything you are seeking is seeking you in return.

I think of this as the Law of Attraction. What we think about is attracted back to us.

# 17: This is an orderly universe; nothing happens by accident.

There is always a master plan, even if you don’t understand it at the present moment in time.

# 18: Nevertheless, you must always remember you will never hear of, read about, or see anyone who achieves anything of greatness in his or her own life, without first taking some kind of risk.

The greater the risk the greater the reward. Playing it safe is the recipe for failure. You must be willing to fail, fail often, fail fast, and fail forward.

see things before they exist

# 19: Whatever it may be, you must step out boldly and pursue it.

If you want something in life, go get it. Don’t sit around hoping it will just come to you. It won’t.

# 20: Once people have become proficient in the basics in any particular field, they usually choose to stop learning, and of course, from that point forward they cease to improve.

Never let a day go by where you don’t get a little bit better than you were the day before. Focus on continuous, never ending improvement. Do that over a sustained period of time and you can become 100%, 200%, even 1,000% better.

# 21: Remember, it is virtually impossible to keep exposing your mind to great ideas without having those ideas expressed in your physical world.

What you think about is what you get. Fill your head and thoughts with dreams and goals and positive affirmations, and that is what you will attract into your life.

# 22: The past, conversely, is the place where all life ends. But unfortunately, it is also the place where 95% of the people spend 95% of their time.

Focus on the future. Cherish the past, plan for the future, and enjoy the moment.

# 23: But again, as long as you continue to let your present or past results control your thinking process, you will never live to see your dreams come true.

Don’t focus on past mistakes. Keep your goal in front of you at all times. Focus on what’s possible, not your past performance.

# 24: People who accomplish great things are aware of the negative, however, they give all of their mental energy to the positive.

Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want.

get what you want

  1. “People who accomplish great things are aware of the negative, however, they give all of their mental energy to the positive.”

    That was my favorite quote.

    1. Yes, there is positive and negative in every situation. Most people focus on the problem. I personally try to focus on the solution, or look for how things could turn out in my favor. This is a mindset hack. We have to learn to think this way. Most of us, including my younger self, tend to focus on the negative in every situation. That is the wrong approach if you want to have a successful and happy life.

  2. Great list of Bob Proctor quotes, Chuck. Here’s the one I like the best.

“Remember, it is virtually impossible to keep exposing your mind to great ideas without having those ideas expressed in your physical world.”

    1. This is why it’s so important to guard your association. You must hang out with people who inspire, uplift, and bring out the best in you. Keep learning. Keep reading. Seek knowledge. And most importantly, keep an open mind about everything.

  3. These are great quotes especially the one: “Doubts, fears, pessimism and negative thinking poison the very source of life”. I have struggled with these issues in the past.

    1. These are things lots of people struggle with. It’s hard to read the newspaper, surf the net, or watch television and not see endless stories of the negative in the world. Heck, that is what sells. What we all need to do is focus on the positive. Nothing is perfect. Nothing goes exactly as planned. That’s life. It’s how we react to these things, and our mindset toward these things that really matters most.

  4. Wow, just wow. Bob Proctor has offered some amazing advice. Thanks for sharing these quotes in your article, Chuck. I need to read this book.

    1. Absolutely. Money makes you more of what you already are. Money is neither good nor bad. Good people do good things with money and bad people typically do bad things with money.

  5. “Ninety-five out of a hundred settle for whatever they get, wishing they had more all the way from the cradle to the casket, never understanding they could actually have had all they wanted.”

These type of lessons should be taught in school, when we are young and impressionable.

    1. Most people have no goals or they set low goals and never hit them. My philosophy is to set huge goals. Even if I only accomplish half of what I set out to do, it’s still significant. That is a good mindset to have.

I agree with you about these lessons should be taught in school. I can’t remember the last time I used Geometry or history, but these life lessons are used every day of our lives.

  6. I love all these Bob Proctor quotes, they are really inspiring. I love the one that said “if you can see it and you believe it you can do it”, it is really talking about faith and how we put it to use in our lives. Thank you Chuck for sharing this inspirational quotes.

  7. “Everything you are seeking is seeking you in return”.

This is similar to what I read in Rhonda Byrne’s book “The Secret”.

    1. Yes, this is the Law of Attraction. I believe it to be true. Whenever I focus on the negative it seems as if I attract more of that into my life. On the other hand, when I focus on the positive, I tend to attract more of that into my life.

I loved the book “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. I hope everyone reading these comments takes the time to order and read that book. It’s life changing.

  8. These Bob Proctor quotes are very inspiring, Chuck. Thanks for sharing. My favorite one is:

“You must begin to understand that the present state of your bank account, your sales, your health, your social life, your position at work, etc., is nothing more than the physical manifestation of your previous thinking. If you sincerely wish to change or improve your results in your physical world, you must change your thoughts and you must change them immediately.”

It’s true, we become what we think about. Thoughts are things.

    1. Our thoughts are everything. They guide us in life. This is why it’s so critical to protect your thoughts. Try to shelter yourself from the negative and put more positive into your mind then negative. It can be tough to do in today’s world, but it is more than possible.

  9. I agree with quote number one. 9 out of 10 times how we live our lives revolves around how much money we have. However, if you are fortunate enough to get your finances in order, then you should shift your focus to something beyond it.

    1. Money isn’t everything…. unless you don’t have any. I had a mentor tell me that once and I believe it to be true. I believe everyone should make it a goal in life to get their finances in order as quickly as possible, and then spend the last 1/4 or 1/3 of their life really making a difference in the world, by using that money for good causes.

  10. This was an inspiring read, Chuck. Thanks for sharing. Here is my favorite Bob Proctor quote:

“The past, conversely, is the place where all life ends. But unfortunately, it is also the place where 95% of the people spend 95% of their time.”

I often find myself focusing on past mistakes and hardships. I know I need to work on that.

    1. It’s easy to live in the past and think the glory days are behind us. The truth is, life is long. Most of us will live to 75+. If we spend all of our time dwelling on the past, or living in the past, we don’t get the opportunity to enjoy the moment. We basically rob ourselves of that. I tell people to cherish the past, plan for the future, but live in the moment. That way you can have the best of both worlds.
