Today, we’re going to list the top 25 MLM Companies in China.
There are those who think multilevel marketing is illegal in China. The fact is: they are mistaken. There are certain procedures that must be followed, but MLM is alive and well in China.
Some of the rules include:
The company must have a business license.
The company can only pay one level of commission.
Direct sellers must follow an advanced training course from the company.
After finishing the course, the sellers must get a license.
Direct sellers must wear a badge reflecting their status.
So as you can see, MLM is quite different in China, but it is getting stronger.

Seems like tapping into the so called Chinese market is now a legit strategy which is a good thing. Whether it is MLM or whatever industry the goal remains the same. ” More eyes means more profit. I just wish that this will happen globally. Not just in China.
Yes, the Chinese market is huge and is great for the network marketing industry. In fact, our industry does business in just about every single country in the world.
In a few years the Chinese MLM space will surpass most countries. This is attributable to the country’s tremendous rate of economic growth.
Yes, and as that happens, you will see a MLM BOOM there. MLM is already popular in China. When the economy is bad, our industry booms. When the economy is good, our industry booms. Win win!
I recently got a few downlines in China. This article therefore just came at the right time for me.

I appreciate you taking the time to touch on MLMs in China. I found this very resourceful.
Thanks, it was fun writing this post.
The US-China trade war may have a negative impact on the growth of MLMs in China. This is especially true for American MLMs operating in China.
Yes. I believe the MLM Companies that are actually headquartered in China will carve out the largest market share.
Does the recent change in Hong Kong’s soverignity have any effect on MLMs in China? It would be interesting to know.
Not sure. Could you elaborate on that a little bit more?
I have to congratulate Herbalife for having made a mark in China. That is truly impressive.
Yes, Herbalife is a top MLM Company in MANY different countries around the world. No list would be complete without them.
It’s no surprise that Avon is one of the most popular MLMs in China. The Chinese are big on promoting their own companies.
Avon is a power house in the industry, but they are really more direct sales than network marketing.
Your coverage of the Chinese MLM sector is very exhaustive and complete. This will be my main reference for Chinese MLMs.
Thank, I put in a ton of research to put this post together.
The laws governing MLMs are very different in China. Thorough research should be done if you have a Chinese downline.
Most definitely. Whether you live in China or a different country, please familiarize yourself with your local laws so you do everything legally.
A whole 25 companies? I thought there were only a handful MLMs in China.
I’m sure there are HUNDREDS of MLM Companies in China, and many of them I have never even heard of. I bet the number grows each year.
I respect these MLM companies for being able to sucessfully stand in China. It’s not the easiest place to do business.
They do have strict laws, but the sheer number of people there make it worth pursuing.
Great to get a good look at what China MLMs have to offer. With such a huge population, they must gear to many types of people with smart campaigning.
Thanks. The Chinese market is booming with MLM Companies. Considering how big their country’s population is, that comes as no surprise to me.
Very successful MLM companies, they must be very solid and important to have got a spot in the China market. There are many people who can buy their products there.
Yep. The Chinese market is huge and offers a ton of potential. These MLM Companies in China definitely have their act together.
Seems like excellent beauty and health products from very reputable Chinese companies. I would love to try the Chinese health drink that’s made a name for itself and the ancient Chinese remedies and herbs. Great list!

I thought Tiens would be number 1 on the list. It is quite popular in China.
Tiens is a great company. I have nothing bad to say about it. They have a great reputation and a huge market share.
I have to admit that MLMs operate very differently in China. I hope that doesn’t hurt the income.
Yes, MLM in China operates differently than here in the USA because of their laws. I know the laws are changing all the time and I can’t keep up with it. I’m sure if they follow the local laws in their country, there is still a great opportunity with this industry.
China is slowly getting more liberal. Soon MLMs will be able to proper there too.
That would be very nice to see more MLM Companies enter the Chinese market place.
I am of the opinion that the stringent rules hampers the spread of MLMs in China. Hopefully that changes soon.
Only time will tell. We never know what the future has in store.
One of the rules is that the company can only pay one level of commission? I think that’s rather limiting.
If that’s the case, that’s crazy. That’s more of direct sales than multi-level marketing. There is a big difference between the two business models.
Whaooo, this is what I have been waiting for long. Updates on China mlm. Thanks so much for this good and information packed post. Am pretty sire you will keep updating us the more.
Yes, I’ll try to come back to this post every few years and update the list. I have about 1,500 articles on this website so it’s hard to keep them all updated.

MLMs in China are fast gaining momentum. The future does look bright.
Yes, and the population in China will continue to grow. I don’t see MLM slowing down or stopping there anytime soon.
I wish some of the rules required of MLMs in China could be adopted for other countries as well. They seem quite reasonable.
I think the rules that MLMs must follow in China are pretty fair. It could be much worse.
It could be worse, but it could also be much better. I’m not a fan of bureaucratic governments with lots of rules, regulations and red tape.
I am happy to see that MLMs are actually legal in China. That’s great news right there.
Yes, MLMs are alive and well in China.
I am surprised MLMs even exist in China. The government is usually very strict there.
Yes, the Chinese government is really strict and has a lot of regulations concerning MLM, but it is still legal there.
China is one of the biggest markets in the world. No wonder MLMs thrive there.
Exactly. With over 1 billion people there is plenty of opportunity for any cutting edge MLM Company.
China has always had good mlm companies that one can engage in for side income. I like Longrich and its products.
Yes, there are lots of good MLM Companies in China. Like you said, Longrich is a good company. I agree. At the end of the day, you simply need to partner up with a MLM Company that aligns with your values, hopes, dreams and goals.
Good to see that MLM marketing is big here but I guess that is how things are now. Traditional marketing is not advisable now so we are all are thinking out of the box. At least until this virus passes.
Yes, with COVID and the quarantine, many people are starting side hustles because they either lost their job, or had their hours cut back. It’s always important to have a Plan B before you need one. Don’t wait.

While multi level marketing is managed quite differently in China, I do suggest that network marketers start speaking with and attracting prospects from China. It is a lightly tapped resource and has huge potential.
I know that some network marketers worry about language differences, but I do know that Google Chrome is set up to translate languages to English or whatever language you use. It may not get it perfect, but it comes close enough that we can understand the basic meaning of what is being said.
It was great fun and a learning experience writing this post.
Thank you for having me do so Chuck.
