What is the best way to get MLM Leads?  Let me start by telling you that there are many different ways to generate leads for your network marketing business.  Some of the most common methods include face-to-face prospecting, home parties, classified ads, direct mail, pay-per-click and social media.  While all of these methods work well, I believe the best way to get MLM Leads is by using solo ads.

That’s right folks: solo ads.  A solo ad is simply when you advertise to someone else’s email list.  You find someone with a large, targeted email list and you pay them money to send your email to their list.  To some of you, this might sound like a new concept.  But I can assure you that it’s not.  In fact, you are probably receiving several solo ads in your email inbox every day without even realizing it.

# 1 It’s Affordable.  Every solo ad varies in price.  While some are just $10 or $20, others will cost hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars.  The only thing that really matters is your return on investment.  The price is irrelevant.  Just because something is cheaper doesn’t make it better and just because something is more expensive doesn’t mean it will produce better results.  What matters most is how many leads your solo ad generates and how many of those leads convert into customers and distributors. Compared to other types of advertising, your Cost per Lead will probably be cheapest when you use solo ads.  And Cost per Lead is one of your most important metrics.

# 2 It’s Fast.  You can set up your solo ad in a few minutes.  You can send it to the list owner and have it sent out that day, or at the next immediate opening.  You can start generating leads within a few minutes after the email is sent out.

# 3 It’s Easy.  It’s so easy a caveman could do it.  All you need to do is know how to search the internet and find people who have a large email list of business opportunity seekers, network marketers or people who would potentially be interested in your products or service.  Once you find the person, you contact them and send them your ad.  That’s it.  And when you find an ad that works, you can use it for every solo ad you do.

# 4 It Works.  I’ve been using solo ads off and on for about four years to promote different products and services online and I know that it works!  Many other people in this industry have built their entire business using solo ads.  Guys like Mike Dillard and Daegan Smith are legends when it comes to solo ads.

# 5 You Can Track Your Results.  Another reason I think that solo ads are so great is that you can track your results.  You can use a tracking code in your solo ad so you can see how many clicks you get, what your conversion rate is, how many leads you get, and how much revenue you generate per lead.  This lets you ditch the losing newsletters and lists and focus on lists that convert well for you.  Any smart marketer understands how important this is.

# 6 The Quality of Your Leads is Very Good.  When you advertise your business or products with solo ads, you will get high quality leads.  You have to understand that the people who receive the solo ad have a pre-existing relationship with the list owner who sent it to them.  They trust the person and probably look forward to getting emails from them.  So when they opt-in to your list and become a lead, they are much better quality than other lead sources.

  1. This is a very interesting topic! I had never heard the term “solo ad” before, but I have definitely received some. I guess the recent Mike Dillard email about FreedomSoft 4 was actually a solo ad.

    I also think that honest, word-of-mouth product/service testimonials friend to friend are a great way to generate solid leads. The problem with that is you have no control over them. You can, however, encourage them with a referral incentive.

  2. I never knew this method of advertising existed. Sure, it will cost money to get started in advertising your business, but now I am convinced the benefits will be worth it. In addition to being assured the quality leads are legitimate; I really like the convenience of being able to track the results of your success.
