Success Strategy Using MLM Leads

Today, I want to share my success strategy using MLM Leads.  These are some secrets, tips and techniques I have learned during the past 15-years in this industry that have served me well.

I’m going to start this post off by sharing a few tips with you. These are things you need to know before you start buying leads, prospecting people or generating your own leads.

# 1 People Join People, Not Businesses

First off, you must realize that people join people, not businesses.  Your prospect will evaluate YOU more than they do the products or opportunity you are offering them.  Your prospect will ask themselves if YOU are serious, know what you are doing and will help them.  You need to be someone worth joining.  The only way to do that is to constantly work on your skills and attitude.  Ask yourself the following question.  “Would I like to join someone just like me?”

# 2 Multiple Follow Ups

You need to realize that most people will not sign up or buy on the spot.  In most cases, less than one percent will.  Most people will need at least five to ten follow ups, if not more, before they become a customer or distributor.  Your job is to come up with a simple follow-up process and walk your prospect through that process.  Keep a list of EVERYONE you ever talk to about the products or business and stay in touch with the people until they say YES, or until they DIE.

Of course, there’s no need to pressure or hound people.  You want to be a professional at all times and realize that most people need help making a buying decision.

# 3 A Lead is a Lead for Life

ALL of your leads are a lead for life.  Keep a database of everyone you EVER talk to and stay in touch with them forever.  Realize that people’s situation in life can change in an instant.  Someone who isn’t interested today, might become very interested next week.

# 4 You Must ALWAYS Ask for the Sale

Quite perhaps the biggest mistake many network marketers make is NOT asking for the sale.  Even if your prospect is interested and wants to buy or join, there is a high likelihood they will not do it unless you specifically ask them to do so.  Whenever you talk with a prospect, always ask them if they’d like to get started today.  I simply ask people, “what questions do you need me to answer before we get you started today?”  It can be as simple as that, but always ask for the sale.

# 5 The Fortune is in the Follow Up

The fortune is in the follow up.  People can only tell you no so many times.  In many cases, someone will tell you no five, six, even seven times before they eventually say yes.  Don’t let a NO scare you off.  Stay in touch with everyone forever.

# 6 Be the Messenger, Not the Message

When it comes to talking with your leads, you want to be the messenger, not the message.  Use third party tools whenever possible.  Never do a presentation yourself.  Utilize webinars, conference calls and live meetings to remove yourself from the equation.  You do NOT want to be the polished sales professional who can do the perfect presentation.  Why?  Because your prospect will think they could never do what you do.

success strategy using MLM leadsHere is my best success strategy using MLM leads.  This is what I use myself.

  1. Generate a lead (any method you want to use).
  2. Contact them and invite them to a presentation (presentation should be done via a third-party tool).
  3. After the presentation, follow up and ask them to buy or join (overcome objections as needed).
  4. If they say yes, sign them up on the spot and help them get started.
  5. If they say no, ask them if you can follow up with them in two months.
  6. If they are undecided, or need more information, invite them to a webinar, three-way call with your upline or live event.
  7. After they see the additional information, ask them to buy or join.
  8. If they say yes, sign them up on the spot and help them get started.
  9. If they say no, ask them if you can follow up with them in two months.
  10. If they need additional information, or are undecided, give them more information, such as a product sample, time with your sponsor, send them a video, etc.
  11. Repeat this process with each prospect until you get a definitive yes or no.
  12. Stay in touch with EVERYONE you ever talk to about your products or business every 60 days until they buy or die.

This process is quite simple. You can use any method you want to get the leads (online, purchasing leads, cold calling, warm market, etc.).  Use third party tools and keep walking your prospects from exposure to exposure until you get a definitive yes or no.

When you get a yes, sign them up on the spot.  Never wait for them to go home and do it on their own.  When you get a no, be nice and ask if you can stay in touch with them every couple months.  If you get a maybe, walk them to the next step in the follow up process until they have enough information to give you a definitive yes or no.

After you have done three exposures with someone and you still can’t get a definitive yes or no, tell them you are going to scratch them off your list and move on to your next prospect.

The Best Strategy to Get Leads

The best strategy when it comes to MLM leads is to create your own leads.  Ultimately, you want people who reach out to you first, and express and interest in what you do.  The only way to do this is through advertising or attraction marketing.  This (to me anyway) is 100x easier than reaching out to people yourself.  Using this strategy lets you be the welcomed guest, rather than the uninvited pest.
