Sample MLM Phone Script for Calling Your Team Member’s Prospects

Today, I want to share a sample MLM phone script for calling your team member’s prospects.

I had a 7-figure earner call me the other day to prospect me about his business, and he used a similar MLM phone script.  This guy was a true network marketing professional.  He was given my name by someone else, so he reached out to me to see if I was interested in learning more about his opportunity.

Listed below is what he said (paraphrased):

Hello, is Chuck there?

WAIT FOR RESPONSE.

My name is John Smith (name changed from his real name).  We haven’t met before, but we have a mutual friend, Tony Richards (name changed).

Is this a good time for you to chat for a few minutes?

WAIT FOR RESPONSE.

I’m calling you today because Tony said you were one of the most self-motivated, and successful people that he knew.  He spoke very highly of you.

I’m an entrepreneur expanding my business nationally and internationally, and I’m looking for a few sharp people to help me.

Are you currently keeping your options open or are you being paid what you’re worth?

WAIT FOR RESPONSE.

My company specializes in natural and organic products.  We help people get healthy, lose weight, and remove the toxic chemicals from their household.  We are looking for people with sales, marketing, and/or management experience to help us expand.  Would you like to learn more about what I do?

WAIT FOR RESPONSE.

If I sent you a short 10-minute video that explained more about what we’re doing, would you be willing to take a look at it today?

WAIT FOR RESPONSE.

Great.  If you give me your best email, I’ll send you the information in the next 10 minutes and I can follow up with you tomorrow.  What times works best for you tomorrow, 2pm or 4pm?

WAIT FOR RESPONSE.

Sounds good.  I’ll call you back tomorrow at 4 pm.  Be sure to write down any questions you might have.  I look forward to our chat.  Have a great day.

Why Call Your Team Member’s Prospects?

If you don’t call them, there’s a good chance your team member won’t.  Most people who join our industry don’t contact ANYONE about their business, because they fear rejection.

sample mlm phone scriptFrom personal experience, I can tell you that it’s much easier to work through your team members prospects than it is to go out and find new prospects yourself.  Assuming each person knows minimum 200 people, you will never run out of prospects to talk to.

Think about it this way for a minute.  If you sponsored just five people into the business yourself, and they each knew 200 people, that is 1,000 prospects you have that you can call.

If 5% of those 1,000 prospects join the business, that is 50 new distributors.  Assuming each of them each knows 200 people, you now have 10,000 additional prospects you can talk to.

Do you see how powerful this is?  That would keep you busy for a long time!  Follow one of my mentor’s tidbits of advice and be so busy recruiting in depth that you don’t have time to recruit personally.
