Today, I’d like to spend a few minutes and share some simple ideas about how to relaunch your MLM Business (or restart it). I know that many people reading this post feel stuck in their business.
Maybe your business has plateaued or dropped off. Maybe it’s spiraling downward and everyone is quitting. Maybe you’ve lost faith and question whether or not our industry can work for you.
In either case, it’s never too late to relaunch your MLM Business. Doing any or all of these 12 ideas will put you back on track.
12 Ways to Relaunch Your MLM Business
# 1: Evaluate Your Daily Routine
I suggest you take 30-minutes right now and honestly evaluate your daily routine for your MLM Business. Ask yourself the following questions and write down your answers.
- How much time am I spending each day on money producing activities in my business?
- How many days per week am I doing money producing activities?
- How many new prospects am I approaching each day?
By the time you answer those three questions, you will know where your shortcomings are. At that point, you can adjust your daily routine accordingly. I suggest you get a day planner and SCHEDULE business hours each day and each week. Write down EXACTLY what you will do each day and at what time you will do it.
The key to success in this industry is to be CONSISTENT, day in and day out, and to spend 90% or more of your “business hours” on money producing activities.
Once you come up with a good daily routine, make a commitment to never miss a day, so you can form new habits! Ultimately, our habits dictate whether we succeed (or fail).
Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen.
# 2: Create a Marketing Plan
The next tip I can share with you to help you relaunch your MLM Business is to come up with a written marketing plan. All successful businesses I know of have a WRITTEN marketing plan.
This plan will detail your target market, your marketing budget, your marketing strategies and your unique selling proposition. It will also outline your daily marketing activities so you know what you will be doing each day to get new leads.
Your marketing plan should be simple and easy to follow, and no more than one or two pages long.
An annual marketing plan helps you set your marketing on the right course to make your company’s business goals a reality. Think of it as a high-level plan that guides the direction of your team’s campaigns, goals, and growth.

# 3: Call Each of Your Personally Sponsored Reps
If you have a team of any size, reach out to your personally sponsored reps and let them know you will be relaunching your business. This includes active and inactive reps. Ask them if they would like to relaunch their MLM business the same time you do. Ask them if there is anything you can do to help them move their business forward. Ask if they would like to meet up with you for a strategy session.
# 4: Find Out When the Next Team or Company Event Is
Reach out to your active upline, or your company’s corporate office, and find out when the next training event is. Buy your ticket and schedule it in your calendar. Have everyone on your team do the same thing. Meetings are vital to your success in the business. They are the glue that keeps your business together. Never miss an event.
From a quantitative perspective, the main benefit of these events is that they permit sales to be increased and business to be done due to the strength of the contacts made and their promotional effect.
Despite the rise of new technologies and the virtual environment, face-to-face interaction remains one of the most effective ways to get new customers and close sales agreements.

# 5: Call Your Upline Mentor for Help
It’s not your sponsor’s or upline’s job to call you. It’s your job to call them. Reach out to them and ask them for help, if you need it. Ask if they will do a launch party with you, or a few one-on-one meetings with you and some of your prospects. Ask if you can schedule a time to do a strategy session with them.
# 6: Contact Everyone On Your Chicken List
Reach out to everyone on your chicken list that you haven’t contacted yet. Ask them if they would meet with you over a cup of coffee, to learn more about what you are doing. The worst thing they will say is NO. Signing up even one serious person can have a quick, positive impact in your business.
While you don’t want to pester and annoy people, in many cases, with good follow up, you can make the sale or recruit at a future time. Sales is often about timing, and ‘no’ in sales doesn’t always mean ‘never.’

# 7: Order Some Drop Cards
Go online and order some inexpensive drop cards. These are a great way to get more leads and promote your MLM business. Whenever you are out and about living life, share a few drop cards. You can leave them at gas stations, toll booths, restaurants, libraries, grocery stores, and hundreds of other places. I think leaving 20 drop cards per day is a great strategy.
The best thing to do is take your drop card, say the words “take this,” physically hand it to someone, and keep walking.
# 8: Attend a Local Event
Attend a local farmer’s market, flea market, health fair, or any other local event and network with people. Spend a couple of minutes with each vendor and exchange business cards. Say hello to people. If you can afford it, set up a booth at one of these events. In most cases, several hundred people will stop by your booth to learn more about what you are offering. You can focus on generating leads and sign up interested prospects on the spot. There are prospects everywhere.
On one occasion, I ended up talking with a cab driver for a good portion of the night, and some of the women that came to the event with me said I was wasting my time talking to him. It wasn’t until the end of the event that I realized he was the Clinton’s cab driver.
The lesson I learned? You never know who you’re talking to, and sometimes our assumptions are wrong.

# 9: Revisit Your Name’s List
Go back to your original name list. There should be at least 1,000 names on it. If there isn’t, add some new names. Spend a few hours and use a memory jogger, if needed. If you were paid $100k to come up with a 1,000-person name list, you would do it. Act AS IF, you are getting paid that much money to make a big-name list, and you will always have prospects to talk to.
# 10: Ask for Referrals
Reach out to your current or former customers and distributors and see if they will give you a referral or two. You never know if you don’t ask. Even better, offer them a cash bonus, discount or prize if they give you referrals.
# 11: Schedule a 90-Day Blitz
This is easily my best and most important tip about how to relaunch your MLM Business. Schedule a 90-Day Blitz with a few of your team members and with your upline.
A 90-Day Blitz is when you take all out massive action for 90-days and do more in a few months than you normally do in a few years. If I could credit one thing to my success in the business, it’s that I did a few 90-Day Blitzes.
# 12: Determine What Part of the Business You are Struggling with
Spend 20-30 minutes to determine what part of the business you are struggling with. Reach out to your mentor, or watch a few YouTube videos to get some tips to help you overcome that specific challenge.
If you struggle with getting leads, read a few books about lead generation. If you struggle with closing prospects, get some coaching or training in that area. There are plenty of resources available to help you overcome any challenge you might have in your business.
