Interview with CEO Ernie Cadiz
I know you wanted me to cover the Regenalife CBD Hemp Oil tonight, so I’m going to cover it at a very high level.
I just want to warn everyone this is a very hot topic these days.
You have to be very careful what you say about these products because they could be construed as a claim, which will bring down many issues from an FDA perspective on us and we do not want that.
If you go to the CBD Hemp Oil on our replicated site, you’ll notice that we really don’t say much. We keep everything at a very generic level and that’s for a reason.
In a nutshell, the hemp oil, for those of you who don’t know it, can be extracted from the hemp plant itself and also the cannabis plant. If you extract it from the cannabis plant, you’re going to have a high concentration of THC, which is really the ingredient that’s going to get you high and you’ll fail on a drug test.
So the hemp oil that is actually extracted from the hemp plant. That contains a very low percentage of THC, which passes industry standards which is 0.03 percent. Now there’s still some debate whether that will trigger a positive on a drug test, but I will get back to that. So the THC, for those of you who don’t know, it stands for Tetrahydrocannabinol and it’s basically what they call a psychoactive ingredient in cannabis.
So our CBD Oil will not get you high as you know, but the ongoing debate is showing up more and more now because everybody’s body will react differently. So a low percentage of 0.03 percent maybe if used over time they’re saying could show up as a positive on a drug test.
Our next generation hemp oils are going to have zero, so that’s basically the way we’re going to get around this. We’re going to basically just drive it to zero. And the way it’s done is basically through the extraction process; basically taking all the THC completely out to avoid this whole issue. So that’s going to take about sixty days so the next generation soft-gel will have zero percent THC in it and then that avoids that whole entire issue.
So many of you have seen the CBD out there in the marketplace, everyone is rattling they have theirs and there’s a lot of things going on in the marketplace, so they come in many different forms. They come in different flavors.
They come in different concentrations and just because a product says 250 milligrams doesn’t really mean that it is full at 250 milligrams. They may say 250 milligrams but the actual percentage may be low, maybe 10% strength of that, so you’ve got to be very careful what you’re purchasing out there.
We’ve basically partnered with a very large company that’s manufacturing this for us. The hemp oil is coming out of the Netherlands. They are going to move the facility to the US to avoid this issue completely so we feel very positive that the next generation of the soft-gel that we’re going to basically roll out to you guys is going to be zero percent THC.
That way we have no issue with that.
One of the other things you’re going to be careful out there in the marketplace with CBD hemp oil; a lot of them are manufactured using solvents, using chemicals. For example they use ethanol, they use propane, butane they even use hexane and pentane and these are common chemicals that are used in the industry to produce many things including supplements.
So our CBD hemp oil, just make sure you understand, it’s extracted with what’s called a Co2 extraction process and basically what that does is it enables the plants nutrients and compounds remain in the product.
Just a quick note, this is the same exact technology that we use in our krill oil, our Regenaflex and our Prostate health products. You’ll notice a lot of them are liquids and in order to extract the liquid, you have to put it through that critical extraction process so those three other products are manufactured the same way, Co2 extraction.
So you know a lot of people say well why don’t you guys launch a drop or one ounce drop or two ounce drop and we actually are going to do that. But if you want to basically get the same effect as a one ounce drop or two ounce drop, you can basically just puncture the actual soft gel and let it sit under your tongue for maximum efficacy.
So that’s another way you could go around it if you don’t want to just swallow the soft gel, you can just let the actual product drip out underneath your tongue. That’s another way some folks actually take it.
When you look at CBD, it’s pretty promising. It’s found in agricultural hemp and it’s recognized for human health, animal health and it has a host of biological processes that it effects in the body.
It effects areas like the brain, the central nervous system, the lungs, respiratory system, circulatory system, heart, the cerebral portrait system, so it basically effects the entire system. When you look at the human body, it’s comprised of its own endocannabinoid system and produces cannabinoids.
Our bodies produce it and when you mix it with plant-based that’s when you get more of an effectiveness.
I’m sure you guys have heard the word Anandamide which is the chemical that is found in chocolate and that’s what makes people you know consume it because it makes them nuts as we say. It’s basically two types of cannabinoid receptors that are embedded in the membrane and are integral to every single cell type and nervous system and immune system in our bodies.
So when you add that as to the plant version, you have it in other forms also, you have it in chili peppers and you have it in Echinacea also… So you have it everywhere.
But now you’re basically taking all plant based stuff into your body and assisting the body to become stable and balanced; and you know we’re getting a lot of positive reaction from the CBD.
You know it’s going to affect everyone slightly different. It’s not going to affect everyone exactly the same but it’ll definitely affect your total body.
Again it’s not, as they say, psycho-toxic. It doesn’t result in your getting a high feeling and our CBD Oil is derived from agriculture hemp so it’s going to provide naturally occurring vitamin E; the fatty acid that’s in it and you take a look at every single organ in our body, it’s going to affect it in some way, shape or form.
That’s really what you have to really understand.
So we really can’t (as you see in our website) make any specific claims, none of our products will. That’s why we are very careful what we say on this product. There are many companies being shut down left and right because they’re making medical claims, and basically assigning their product to what’s considered a drug.
They’ll get a letter from the FDA basically saying in order for you to continue this you have to go through the clinical trials and your product is being classified as a drug right now.
So you’ve got to be very careful what you say here.
To basically sum it up, there’s going to be a lot of demand for this product right; for hemp oil and there is right now. It’s growing every single day.
As you know, as further research continues to you know support the findings of CBD, we’re going to have to stay on top of it and watch what’s happening on studies because it’s so early right now.
If you go to a website known as PubMed out, you’ll see a lot of studies that are being done on many different types of ingredients, of products from doctors all over the world and you can search from clinical trials, but it’s very early on right now for CBD because it’s so new.
As this demand continues to grow, what’s going to happen is and it’s already happening, you’re gonna have other forms of CBD coming out and it’s already out there.
I’ve seen them already; some of them are synthetic, they’re coming out of other countries. I don’t want to say the countries. Some of these are synthetic, they may contain heavy metals, toxins and you don’t know what’s in them.
You’ve got to really feel trusted that you’re buying a CBD from a trusted company that is going to be based on agricultural hemp and not based on synthetics and all kinds of junk in the product. So I just want to make sure everyone’s aware of that and be 100 percent careful that you know what you’re actually consuming when it comes to CBD.
That’s about it Chuck, you got any questions?
Most workplace drug screens and tests target delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and do not detect the presence of cannabidiol (CBD) or other legal natural hemp based constituents. However, studies and other drug screens have shown that eating hemp based foods such as protein, seeds and oils can, in certain cases, cause confirmed positive test results when screening urine and blood specimens.
Even with the introduction of 0% THC in our latest product, we cannot guarantee negative THC or CBD drug test results. Therefore, if you are subject to any form of drug testing, we recommend (as does the United States Military) that you do not ingest our products before consulting with your healthcare, drug screening/testing company, or employer.
