Reasons to Start a Home Party Business

Are you looking to start a home party business? If so, I can offer you a few pointers. First and foremost, a home party business is a viable way to make a part-time or full-time income. You can team up with any of the hundreds of different direct sales companies, and be in business for yourself for less than a few hundred dollars.

The Benefits

You will have access to discounted products, company training, a mentor who will help you, and an action plan to follow. All you have to do is follow the system and you can start making money right away. Best of all, you will meet new people, travel to new places and live an adventure. How exciting is that!

If you’ve ever been to a home party before, you know how much fun it is. It’s great to socialize with 8-10 people, while learning about some new and exciting products. What I like most about the home party business is that you can find a company with products you are passionate about. This includes books, food, jewelry, cosmetics, cookware, clothes, and just about anything else.

Other Options

And if you can’t find a direct sales company to partner up with, you can also sell your own products. You could sell candles, scrapbook supplies, bird houses, handmade jewelry or just about anything else. You could take your hobby and turn it into an extra income by scheduling in-home parties.

I know several people who earn a substantial income by conducting in home parties. And many other people earn a nice part-time income that helps them improve their standard of living, pay off debt, and save for their children’s education. I call it the win-win situation.

My Recommendation

So, if you want to start a home party business of your own, here’s what I recommend you do. You should begin by making a list of products you would want to sell. What interests you the most? Once you know the product line you want to sell, you must decide whether you want to make your own products or sell someone else’s products. As I mentioned earlier, either method will work.

If you decide to sell your own products, you will want to start building an inventory. On the other hand, if you want to partner up with a direct sales company, you should research different companies online until you find a good fit.

Your next step is to schedule some in-home parties. You can call up friends and family and book parties. Your first couple parties won’t be perfect, but you will get better as you go along. If you can commit to doing 1-2 parties each week, every week, you will earn a nice part-time income. And you will get very good at conducting parties, which will generate more sales and more profits in your business.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, starting a home party business is a good move. With the economy in shambles, most people are looking for extra ways to supplement their income. You can start a home party business for less than a few hundred dollars. You can start making money right away. And the sky is the limit. You can make as much money (or as little) as you want to. Best of all, you can fit your business around your regular schedule.

I have never had a home party business myself, but I have attended home parties of friends that did. I have attended jewelry and makeup parties. And I do believe they can be successful if the person is 100 percent interested and invested in it. I also want to throw in here that I love how you said “your first couple parties wont be perfect”. THANK YOU for being honest. A lot of people would throw the towel in just because their first party bombed, but they don’t realize that it takes time and they have to get their name out there first.

I believe the biggest key in doing home parties is being passionate about the products you are selling. If you are selling products just to make money and really do not care if they are good or bad, it will come back to bite you in time.

I like the idea of developing your own products to sell at home parties. I wonder how many people do this. I get a kick out of the birdhouse thought. If a person uses their imagination, they can come up with many ideas on items to sell at home parties.

I love in-home parties, especially the ones with food. Add some wine and some good friends, and a good time is usually had by all. I have hosted a few, and if the timing is right, I usually have a good turn-out. You just can’t be pushy about the product, or you will start to get on your friends’ nerves and they will start to avoid your calls. Let the people come to you. Put it out there that you are having a party, either as the distributor or the hostess, and let them come to you.

I knew someone who bought men’s suit jackets and sports coats and would decorate them with buttons or textile paints or sequins. In fact I bought a couple, one of which was 75 dollars and that was 20 years ago. She did quite well. I think you’d have to come up with something like that in order for it to be enjoyable, not just another of “those parties.”
