Owning Your Life – Why Time Is Your Most Precious Asset

Life is precious.

The average person lives about 78 years, give or take.

That’s about 28,740 days or 40,996,800 minutes.

The timer starts when you are born and it doesn’t stop until you take your last breath.

Whether you are at work, sleeping, going to the bathroom, sitting in rush hour traffic, or on vacation, time keeps moving along.

Tick tock, tick tock.

No matter where you are from, what you do for a living, how handsome or beautiful you are, or how well you take care of yourself, you will eventually die.

It’s a reality.

I know it sounds morbid to talk about, but it’s the truth.

The sooner you can accept that, the better.

Everyone dies, but few people really live.

When I say live, I mean live a life with purpose.

I mean live a life that is fulfilling.

I mean living a life where you call your own shots and live life on your own terms.

My sponsor Don Failla coined this phrase, and I believe it to be spot on.

Most people don’t really own their life.

Most people are living lives of quiet desperation.

Most people accept that their dreams will never come true, normally by the age of 30.

They lose that flicker in their eye and “float” through the rest of their life, neither happy nor satisfied.

Most people die at age 30 but aren’t buried until they are 75.

Time is always working against you.

You can’t stop it.

You can’t slow it down or pause it either.

Time is the ONLY thing you can’t buy more of.

Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.

You can buy a lot of things in life.

You can build a fortune, lose it, and rebuild it.

But, you can never get your time back.

If you have enough money, you can buy your health.

You can buy the fastest “street legal” car.

You can buy temporary happiness.

However, your kids will only grow up once.

You’ll only be your current age for one year.

You can’t buy back yesterday.

You can’t change the past.

You can only control what you do this exact moment in time.

What every living adult should try to do is GET CONTROL OF THEIR TIME, so they can OWN THEIR LIFE.

own your lifeUltimately, you need to earn your time freedom, so you have the time and money and health to do what you want when you want to do it.

There aren’t many occupations that even give you that opportunity.

How many folks do you know who own their life?

How many people love what they do, make money without working much, and have great health?

Most professions require you to work your entire adult life (even if you own a business), until you retire, or are too old to work.

No matter how good you are at your job (or business) you have to keep showing up to get paid.

Once you get “old” you get thrown to the wolves. Last time I checked, the wolves were HUNGRY.

Think about it.

If the CEO stopped showing up at work, how long would he stay the CEO?

In most companies, not long!

It’s a frustrating reality that many people never really understand until it’s too late.

That’s where network marketing comes in.

Now, wait a minute.

Before you get defensive and go on the attack, just hear me out for a minute.

Can you name even ONE other profession that gives you the opportunity to really own your life and have residual income and leverage, without employees or a lot of money?

I can’t.  And I’ve looked.

Does your current profession allow you to own your life and have the time, money and health to do what you want when you want?

Can you NOT show up at your current job for the next six months without telling anyone and still get paid and keep your job?

I doubt it.

Does your current profession allow you to work for three to ten years to build up an asset that can potentially pay you for the rest of your life?

If you have a job or business that lets you do these things, please continue doing what you’re doing.

You’re on the right path.

By the way, let us know where you work and let us know if they are hiring!

If not, what are you doing about it? What are you doing to get control of your time?

Building a successful network marketing business lets you own your life and take control of your time, money and health.

I’m not saying you will succeed in network marketing.

Most people don’t.

But some do.

It is possible.

But why not try.

Why not commit a few years of part-time work to see if you can build a successful business that pays you residual income?

Worst case scenario, you will learn a lot of wisdom and new skills, but not make any money.

Best case scenario, you will build up a residual income that lets you buy back your life.

No, there isn’t a guarantee of success.  But there is a guarantee of not succeeding if you never try.

Even if you decide NOT to do network marketing, try to find some type of income source that gives you the ability to own your life.

You NEED residual income.

You deserve it.

You deserve to own your life and live life on your own terms.

You don’t want to be at the end of your life wishing you would have done something differently with your limited time on this earth.
