Today, I want to share some advice for you about who to take advice from. One of the worst mistakes you can make is to take advice (and listen to it) from someone who is not qualified to give it.
If you were sick, you would have your accountant diagnose you?
If you were interested in learning about stocks and bonds, would you ask the school cook?
If you wanted to learn how to fly, would you consult with a car salesman?
Would you ask your unemployed friend how to get a job?
Would you ask a guy at the food court how much your house is worth?
All of these things might sound like common sense to you. If you were sick, you would talk to a doctor. If you were interested in investing in stocks and bonds you would talk to a broker or financial planner. If you wanted to learn how to fly, you would talk to a pilot or flying school! If you wanted to learn how to get a job you would talk to a head hunter. If you wanted to know what your house is worth you would talk to a realtor.
The bottom line is that you must take advice from people who are qualified to give you advice. Otherwise, you won’t get very good advice.
When it comes to network marketing people do the exact opposite.
Prospects get their advice from people who have failed in the industry, or from people who know nothing about the industry, not from people who have been successful in network marketing.
Struggling network marketers get advice from other struggling network marketers, and they wonder why they keep struggling.
The bottom line is you have to be careful who you get advice from because you might end up JUST LIKE THEM!
From this day forward, only get advice about network marketing from successful network marketers. Find someone in your upline who has achieved the success you desire and seek their input.
Ask them questions, listen to them, and then be smart enough to do what they tell you!
The worst thing you can do is ask for advice and then not follow it. That’s like slapping someone in the face!
The truth is, not everyone is qualified to give advice about certain topics. Make sure you find someone who is successful and listen to them. You will be glad that you did.
