In today’s post, I’d like to share some of my best online marketing ideas for network marketers. These are simple tips and strategies to promote your product, service, and business opportunity online, so you can get more leads, customers, and sign ups.

Online marketing is here to stay. Even if you prefer offline, belly-to-belly prospecting, you still want to combine it with online marketing. Why? Because most of your prospects are online. There are more than 7 BILLION people in the world, but you might only come in contact with 50-100 people per day in everyday life. Once you go online you have the world at your fingertips.

You don’t need to do everything on this list. I’ve provided 20 online marketing ideas for network marketers in hopes that you will pick the top two, maybe three strategies that resonate with you and then focus on those. Don’t spread yourself too thin and try too many things at once. Let’s get started.

#1: Personal Branding

You are your own brand, even if you don’t know that yet. A “brand” is simply what others think about a company. What do others think when they think about you? That is the question you need to put some serious thought into. How do you want to brand yourself?

I chose to brand myself as the “No B.S. Network Marketer!”. How you brand yourself is up to you. Put some serious thought into this question. Once you choose your brand, make sure everything you say and do online aligns with your brand.

# 2: Social Media Presence

I’m not a fan of Facebook or other social media platforms myself, BUT there are billions of people on social media sites. It would be a foolish move NOT to incorporate social media as part of your overall marketing mix.

I suggest you create a profile on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, at a minimum. Create a professional profile. Share valuable content related to your MLM products or industry. Engage with your audience by responding to comments and messages promptly.

# 3: Content Marketing

Content is king. I’ve built my business mostly with content marketing. This includes videos, podcasts, articles, Power Point presentations, Facebook posts, and more. This content PRE-SELLS people on me. People find my content online and some of them seek me out and ask to join my business.

My content strategy is to create valuable content for people in my niche. I focus on educating and entertaining my audience. I try to provide solutions to their problems. As a result, they see me as a mentor or expert (at least some of them do) and they seek me out for advice, or ask to partner up with me. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.

# 4: Email Marketing

Build an email list of interested prospects and customers. Send regular newsletters with product updates, success stories, and promotions. Use email autoresponders to nurture leads.

If you aren’t doing email marketing, you are leaving a ton of money on the table. Email marketing allows you to automate your recruiting and follow up, so you can work smart. I wouldn’t rely on email marketing for 100% of your business building, but I would incorporate it into your marketing mix.

Every rep needs their own sales funnel. It makes life easier for you. Keep in mind most prospects need 10-20 follow ups before they buy or join. Your autoresponder will automate that process for you.

# 5: Webinars & Online Workshops

Host webinars and online workshops to educate your audience about your MLM products, compensation plan, or industry trends. Collect registrations and follow up with attendees.

You can do this on ZOOM, in Facebook groups, or on YouTube. The beauty of leading a webinar or workshop is that you are positioned as the expert, which is what you want.

# 6: Social Media Advertising

Invest in targeted Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn ads to reach a wider audience. Use custom audiences to show ads to people who have engaged with your content or website.

What’s great about social media advertising is that you can “hone in” on a specific niche and target your advertising. I suggest you lead with something other than your opportunity. Promote a free training, a workshop, a boot camp, or something that appeals to more people in your target audience, and then backend them into your business.

# 7: Video Marketing

Create product demonstration videos, testimonials, and how-to guides. Share these videos on platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

Video marketing is king. Every network marketer should have their own YouTube channel. Create hundreds of videos around keywords people in your target market are searching for, so they can find you!

# 8: Facebook Groups

Create or join Facebook groups related to your MLM niche. Engage in discussions, offer value, and subtly promote your products when relevant.

Even better, create your own Facebook group. For example, if your MLM Company specializes in weight loss products, you could make a Facebook group about weight loss. You could share helpful tips and training about weight loss and even recommend some of your company’s products.

# 9: Facebook, TikTok, & YouTube Reels

Reels are hot right now. Basically, a reel is a short video, normally 30 to 60 seconds long. Like video marketing, you can make content geared toward people in your target market, whoever you are focused on. Create content they will find appealing, and then include a call to action in each reel.

# 10: LinkedIn Networking

Connect with professionals in your niche on LinkedIn. Share industry insights, connect with potential business partners, and build your authority.

LinkedIn is an untapped gold mine. People share everything personal on their Facebook page, but LinkedIn is more business related. Start your own group, share videos, publish your own articles, and brand yourself.
