Omnitrition: History, Review, Compensation Plan, & Facts

In today’s post, I will provide an independent Omnitrition review. I will review the company’s history, products, compensation plan, founders, and much more. This information is as of 2022. Keep in mind this information could change in the future.

When Omnitrition was first founded, it gained immediate prominence in the world of multilevel marketing. It seemed everyone was signing up with this weight loss and nutritional MLM Company. The company grew huge.

But times grew difficult for multiple reasons. Still operating today, it is trying to once again gain a strong foothold in the network marketing industry. Will they do so? Only time will tell.

Omnitrition History

Roger Daley was an independent representative of Herbalife in the 1980’s. Realizing that he wanted to start his own multilevel marketing company, Roger and his wife Barbara veered out in 1989 with their own nutritional supplement company called Omnitrition. Roger’s first product was a liquid nutritional supplement called OmniLife4.

Roger based his multilevel marketing company off what he learned from Herbalife along with studying all the rules that were discovered when Amway was taken to court with the FTC years earlier.

Omnitrition had a great start and people began to join the opportunity. The system worked like a dream but suddenly in 1994, the company was attacked with several lawsuits. The most notable suit was Webster vs. Omnitrition.

Two former independent distributors from the company were suing alleging that it was operating an illegal pyramid scheme. Daley and his defense argued that since he had followed all the Amway precepts, the company could not be deemed an illegal pyramid scheme. The court looked closely at all aspects of the case. In the end, Omnitrition was found to be operating legally.

The company is still in operation. They offer liquid nutritional products, weight management products, energy providing products, and other specialty products.

From the Corporate Website

Omnitrition has built an excellent reputation on its superb business ethic and customer satisfaction. The formulators of Omnitrition’s product line believe in using only the finest quality ingredients available. By making Omnitrition’s products the focal point of the business, people come back time after time because of outstanding results and product satisfaction.

Company sales are based on person-to-person marketing and good old-fashioned word of mouth from happy customers wishing to share their healthier lifestyle with family, friends and co-workers. With our direct ship to the customer option, many individuals have seen the potential for marketing Omnitrition’s growing line of products and have seized the opportunity to become involved in a home-based business that is easy and inexpensive to start.

We hope that you will be as enthusiastic about our products and formulations as the many happy healthy people who use them everyday.

What happened is two individuals brought a class-action lawsuit against Omnitrition claiming it was a pyramid scheme. The case was ferocious and the landmark Amway case was brought to the forefront which helped show that Omnitrition was operating legally.

The case was eventually dismissed but the damage was done. Many distributors left Omnitrition and the company felt a huge drop in revenues. But Roger Daley and his wife stood strong and Omnitrition is still alive.

Omnitrition Products

Omnitrition offers an array of products that primarily fall into the nutritional and weight loss areas. Many people have claimed the products are good and work, but that the prices are outlandish. When I reviewed the company’s website today (JAN 2022), most of the product prices were in the $40 to $60 range. I don’t personally think that’s excessive, but some people might think so.

Some of the top selling Omnitrition products are:

  • Omni Drop
  • Omni 4
  • Charge Capsules
  • Smart Multivitamins
  • & More!

Omnitrition Weight Loss

Here are the weight loss products I found on the corporate website.

Protein Shake: The Omni Protein Shake Mix is designed to supplement your daily protein needs while keeping your caloric intake down. No artificial sweeteners added.

Fiber N Mor: Fiber-N-Mor is formulated with both Psyllium to provide a Fiber base and Lactobacillus Acidophilus.

Garcinia Cambogia: Garcinia Cambogia is an appetite suppressant that may help contribute to weight loss.

Phaso Trim: PhasoTrim is a natural proprietary plant extract that may help decrease starch calories.

Chito: OmniTrim Chito®, may help block the absorptions of dietary fat. Derived from the outer shells of crabs, shrimp and other shellfish.

Green Coffee Bean Extract: Omni Green Coffee Bean Extract is a non-stimulating safe and effective supplement which may help in weight loss.

Thermo Herbal Tea: Thermo Herbal Tea is a cool refreshing tea flavored drink, especially sweet served over ice and may help assist with energy.

Omni Drops: A comprehensive program, which is accompanied by the Omni Drops. Comes with an eating plan guide and recipes.

Thermo Java: Sugar-Free Thermo Java is formulated with Stevia and contains an added appetite suppressant. Approved for use with Omni Drops Program.

I’m not sure if the company still offers a specific weight loss program, but these are the weight loss products I could find. The descriptions you see above are copied right off the corporate website from their weight management page.

Omnitrition Drops

Here’s what other websites are saying about the Omnitrition Drops:

The first (and probably most important) benefit of Omni Drops is that they are a quality, transparent product. They do have less HCG than prescription HCG supplements, but they aren’t pretending to be prescription HCG supplements. If you are looking for an over-the-counter HCG product, these are just fine.

Omni is honest and transparent about the ingredients, and the formula is well made. They may not be as effective as traditional HCG injections or drops, but they’re a solid middle ground.

Users who choose to purchase Omni drops usually do so because they are already curious about the HCG diet or have gone through the diet in the past and want to try a new way for their second, or even third, time around. Customer reviews of Omni drops are mostly positive, with some users blaming the HCG diet protocol for their disappointing results instead of the drops themselves. ~ HCG Diet Info

The Omni Drops program in conjunction with a healthy eating plan is an excellent way to lose weight quickly and safely. The diet runs between 21-42 days and consists of taking the drops three times a day. The program guide which describes which foods to eat and instructions for the whole diet is included. ~

I have not tried the drops myself, so hopefully that information helped you out.

Omnitrition Compensation Plan

Omnitrition offers an interesting compensation plan. There are five ways to get paid:

  1. Retail
  2. Wholesale
  3. Royalty Overrides
  4. Bonus Level Royalty Overrides
  5. Bonuses

You can get started by purchasing a distributor kit for just $49.95 plus shipping and handling. The kit includes your paperwork, forms, and tools to get started in your business. It costs $49.95 to renew your membership each year.

When you purchase your kit, you are immediately eligible for a 20% discount. This allows you to retail the products to friends and family and earn some extra spending cash.

When your volume is between $0 and $500 monthly you earn 20%. This includes customer sales and purchases by distributors in your group. From $500.01 to $1,000 in volume you earn 25%. From $1,000.01 to $2,000 in volume you earn up to 30%. From $2,000.01 to $4,000 in volume you earn 35%. And, when you earn $4,000.01 in volume in one month (or $2,000 in 2 months with $1,000 in unallocated volume), you earn 40%.

When you surpass the $4,000.01 in volume, you can fill out a SUPERVISOR form and start earning 40% commissions the following month. As a SUPERVISOR, you can start earning royalty overrides on levels 1, 2 and 3. As you progress through the ranks, you can earn even more.

Omnitrition Facts

Here are a few interesting facts about the company:

  • Distributors can get refunds on unused products, but they cannot be over three-months old, and the distributor only gets 90% back.

  • Many people do not realize that the appeals court ruled that the original court needed to retry the case, but before this could happen the company settled out of court for undisclosed amounts of money.

  • It seems that Mexican Billionaire, Jorge Vergara now owns Omnitrition.

  • Roger Daley also wrote a popular book entitled: What You Don’t Know Will Hurt You.

  • There are estimates of over 5 million independent distributors worldwide.

  • The people named as defendants from corporate in the major case were Roger Daley, Jim Fobair, Charles Ragus, and Jerry Rubin.

Final Thoughts

In review, this is the information I could find online about Omnitrition. Before joining ANY MLM Company, it’s important that you do your due diligence. Interview the corporate leadership team, talk with successful distributors, try out the products, and then trust your instincts.

I think Omnitrition could be a viable business opportunity, especially if you are passionate about nutrition and weight loss, and enjoy selling. What are your thoughts? 1. Sounds weird. I haven’t heard of companies keeping money from their reps unless they fell out of qualification on a given month. Sorry to hear you had an accident. Hope you are okay now.

  1. I did Omnitrition last year and lost 50 lbs in 100 days…I have kept if off and my doctor recommends this program to other patients bc of my success. I am the healthiest I have ever been. It is NOT a 500 calorie diet.. we dont count calories on it.. You eat a healthy meal for lunch and dinner and fruit for breakfast and snack… If you did this program without the drops you would probably starve.. Anyone can post anything negative on the internet of course. I have has success with this program so I would be more than happy to help anyone who has any questions or want to know how this REALLY works!
