Observe the Masses and Do the Opposite in MLM

This is some profound advice, if you will apply it in your network marketing business. Observe what the masses do and do the opposite.

It’s true that most people quit our industry.  Most people will tell you that most people fail, but that is a lie.  Most people quit.  And there is a big difference between quitting and failing.

And most people who quit MLM do so in their first few days in the business.  Of all the people I’ve ever sponsored, and there are lots, at least 90% of the people who quit did so within their first 30 days and most of them quit within their first 48 hours.

Chew on that for a moment!

Even worse, most of the people who quit never ordered products, sponsored anyone, or got one customer!  And they actually have the audacity to say they were scammed.  Give me a break.

I learned a long time ago that if you want to become successful IN ANYTHING, you have to study successful people.  And then you need to model their behavior.  It’s simple.  Do what they did to become successful and you will get what they got.

Look at what most people are doing in life and do the opposite.  Look what most people in your team are doing and do the opposite.

Here’s what most people do in network marketing: NOTHING!

  • They don’t sponsor anyone
  • They don’t get any customers
  • They don’t go on auto-ship
  • They don’t study the business
  • They don’t attend events
  • They don’t read books about network marketing
  • They don’t participate in conference calls
  • They don’t share the plan with anyone
  • They don’t generate leads or take the time to learn about generating leads 
  • They don’t set business hours for their business
  • They don’t draft up a business plan
  • They don’t work their business consistently day in an day out, week in and week out

I could go on and on.

If you want to be successful in network marketing, just do the opposite.

  • Sponsor people
  • Get customers
  • Get on auto-ship and use the products
  • Study the business
  • Attend all events
  • Read books about network marketing
  • Listen to conference calls
  • Share the plan with everyone you can
  • Learn how to generate leads
  • Set business hours
  • Draft up a business plan
  • Work on your business every single day

Do these things and guess what will happen?  YOUR BUSINESS WILL GROW! And you will make money.  It’s definitely not rocket science.

And whatever you do, don’t think this advice just applies to network marketers.  This advice applies to everyone and anyone in any profession.

  • Look at what the masses do at your employer and do the opposite.
  • Look at how most people take care of their bodies and do the opposite.
  • Look at how most people plan their financial future and do the opposite.
  • Look at how most people treat their spouse and do the opposite. 

I hope this message is starting to resonate with you.

  1. There is a reason why the world’s wealth is held only by the top 2% of the population. It is because there are so many people doing the wrong thing. It’s amazing that the people who tell you that you will never make it in network marketing have never tried it nor do they have a fortune of their own. Broke people can only tell you how to be broke. This is great advice because the more you stay connected to your company and the MLM community the more you can learn and become a more successful entrepreneur.
