Today, I want to educate you about the importance of doing MLM Weekly Team Training Calls. I’ll also share some of my best success tips, so you can create an effective and efficient (and fun) training call.
Personally, I believe weekly training calls are a vital part of growing and maintaining your network marketing business.
Many top earners I’ve talked with have done a weekly training call for their team for many years. I listened to one multi-million-dollar earner the other day say that she has had a Monday evening team training call every Monday for nearly 25-years. Now that’s impressive.
Benefits of MLM Weekly Team Training Calls
Here are some of the benefits of doing a weekly training call with your team.
# 1 Work Smart
Time is your most precious asset. There is only so much time in a day to go around. When you train people in a group setting you can leverage your time. If you were to train everyone one-on-one, it would take you ten to twenty times longer than doing it in a group setting.
# 2 Train Your Team
Training is vitally important, especially for your new reps. There are basic skills, attitudes and mindsets that people need to learn to succeed in network marketing. Without training, people are doomed to fail.
# 3 Create a Strong Team Culture
Another great thing about doing MLM Weekly Team Training Calls is that you can create a strong team culture. You can create a call that people look forward to attending each week. Remember, people want to belong to something bigger than themselves.
# 4 Good Communication
Communication gets distorted as it goes through multiple people. The great thing about doing a weekly training call is everyone gets the same message, so there is no communication confusion in the ranks.
Here are a few basic success tips to have successful MLM Weekly Team Training Calls. These tips are listed in no particular order.
# 1 Do it Every Week No Matter What
Consistency is key. It’s vitally important that you do the training call every week, and ideally on the same day and at the same time. This will create predictability with your distributors.
# 2 Have an Agenda
Have a written agenda and stick to it. You need to get organized. Preparation is key. Smart leaders plan for their meetings. For every one hour meeting you do, you should spend at least two to four hours preparing for it.
# 3 Have Multiple Speakers
People will get bored if it’s always the same speaker. Have at least two different speakers on your call. This keeps it interesting for participants. Plus, with just one speaker not everyone will be able to relate to you.
# 4 Do Plenty of Recognition
Recognition is key. Take at least five to ten minutes on each training call to recognize people for doing things in the business. Don’t just recognize your superstars either. Find creative ways to recognize your new people and part-timers. Recognition is huge.
# 5 Don’t Be Boring
Make your meetings fun. Boring is the kiss of death. Make them educational and entertaining. Add in your personality, do a random contest or raffle, have multiple speakers, and don’t be monotone when you talk.
# 6 Start and End on Time
Be punctual. Respect your participants’ time. Always start and end on time. Don’t make people who got on the call on time wait for people who are late.
# 7 Have Time for Questions & Answers
At the end of each training call, have time for questions and answers. Set aside ten minutes for this. It will give your participants the opportunity to ask their questions and get answers.
# 8 Record the Call
Record every training call and send out a playback link to your entire team. This will make sure everyone gets the information.
