Today, I’m going to share 8 ways to use MLM webinars to grow your MLM Business. If you aren’t using webinars as part of your lead generation and closing strategies, you should be! Webinars are a simple way to brand yourself, position yourself as an expert, and get prospects to approach you first.
What is a Webinar?
In case you’re new to the internet, or simply haven’t hosted or participated in a webinar before, here is a simple definition I found online.
A webinar is an online meeting or presentation held via the Internet in real-time. To put it simply, it is an online event, which connects individuals with viewers across the world. The main feature of live webinars is interactivity, or the ability to discuss, send and receive information in real-time. Source: MyOwnConference.com
Advantages of Webinars
As of late, the use of webinars has become extremely popular. The advantages are numerous…
- No traveling for participants. It is all online.
- The presenter does not need to invest in any special equipment. A simple webcam is all you need.
- The cost can be minimal as most are based on the number of participants.
- Audience amount can be unlimited.
- The webinar can be automated so it can be viewed even after the original recording.
It just makes sense that MLM distributors would leverage webinars to grow their business.
8 Ways to Use MLM Webinars
With that being said, here are 8 ways to use MLM webinars to grow your network marketing business.
# 1: To Generate Leads
MLM Webinars are a great way to generate leads. When people register for your webinar, they enter their contact information, normally their phone number, email, and name. In return, they are added to your autoresponder or CRM program, so you can follow up with them via email marketing.
I’ve discovered that people are more interested in free information than they are in a specific business opportunity. By giving away free information via your MLM webinar, you can in return let your webinars do the selling, sifting, and sorting for you. This is known as a two-step selling process.
Through registration, audience members demonstrate a clear interest from the start, and that interest qualifies them as leads, which makes it easier for you to start natural conversations. New marketing leads may be compelled by a topic you’re discussing, and seasoned sales leads may sign up to see how your product differs from others. Webinars are good at meeting customers where they are as well as guiding them through the funnel. Proactively use webinars to connect marketing qualified and sales qualified leads to your company, and link them to the next stage of the buyer’s journey, whatever it may be (e.g. your website, a sales rep, another piece of content, etc.). # 2: As Motivational Seminars
While it would be great to have a huge motivational seminar at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, how many of your team members would be able to attend? Travel is expensive. When you factor in airfare, hotel, food, and rental car expense, it’s easy to drop several thousand dollars to attend a major training event. Most people can’t afford that. But if you use a webinar format to provide the same motivational “stuff,” no one has to spend that much money.
Webinars are a great way to motivate your team. You can still see and interact with each other. You feel a sense of community. Plus, you can motivate and train your team so they recruit more reps, sell more products, and grow their team.

# 3: Feature New Products
When your MLM Company launches a new product, a webinar is an excellent way to feature that new product to your followers, thereby getting more sales. Tell how the new product is unique in comparison to the competitors. Show the product, its benefits and the features and watch your sales go up.
Effective webinar content should showcase problems, kills objections, and deliver value without teaching too much. The content should teach your audience WHAT to want. The “what” is your product, and by the time you make the offer, the entire audience already wants it. This makes the sale much more natural, and no hard selling is required. Source: Demio
# 4: Interview Company Superstars
Here is a great way to entice prospects to join your team. Just approach one of the superstars in your MLM Company. They could be in your upline, downline, or on a whole different team. Interviewing other successful people gives your business more credibility, gives you more exposure, and excites your viewership.
By hosting regular webinar events, businesses get the opportunity to invite industry experts to some of these online events. This means that they can leverage the knowledge, expertise, and market reach of the industry experts, achieving even further gains when it comes to attracting new leads and sparking new interest in their brand and products. # 5: Show Off Your Expertise
Webinars are a great way to brand yourself and show off your expertise. If you feel comfortable on camera, leading a meeting, this is a great way for people to experience your communication, people, and leadership skills. Everyone has natural talents to showcase. Leading a webinar makes you an attractive sponsor to many prospects.
If you are camera shy, you can tell your viewers that. It will make you more relatable because most people are scared of public speaking.
Hosting a webinar positions your brand as an expert in your field. However, the difference between reading a book written by an expert and attending a webinar is that you get to interact with, hear, and possibly even see the expert, establishing a stronger connection.
Before doing business with you company, prospects want to get to know the people behind the brand and webinars help make that more tangible in a digital world. The more you allow people to get to know you, the easier it is for them to trust you.

# 6: Demonstrate a Product
Showing how to properly use a product via a webinar is a great way to get more sales. As people see how to use the product you can also explain where they can go to purchase it.
Webinar meetings effectively allow you to both teach and sell at the same time. No other type of presentation can bring this type of benefit to the table. In order to make a sale, however, you will need to develop content that is effective. This means that you will illustrate potential problems, be able to shoot down objectives, and deliver exceptional value without having to over teach any particular concept or idea.

# 7: Training
Training should be done online. We live in a global economy. Chances are you are building an international business. You can have your new recruits sign up for your training webinar and train various recruits at the same time. Unlike a video, those recruits can ask questions and get answers right then and there.
Best of all, this lets you leverage your time and work smart. Rather than train one person for an hour, you can train 50-100 people at the same time.
Webinar live streams and webcasts can include how-to videos that showcase training in various fields of study and concepts. It’s the sort of training that can be done online, broadcasted live and in real-time (plus archived for posterity), and offers immediate feedback from the viewer in question through real-time comments. Just as you can use webinars to increase understanding of your products and services as another form of web video, so too can you introduce concepts for the sake of educating the viewer. You can cover a wide range of topics plus do on-the-spot communications or even interactive evaluations on multiple viewers (instead of having one-on-one chats on programs like Skype). # 8: Recorded So Others Can Watch Later
Be it training, a product launch or demo, or any other MLM webinar, it can be recorded so the webinar can be watched in the future. You could even upload it to your website, YouTube, or any other video venue. In this way, your webinar can help you grow your business 24/7.
Recorded webinars can be edited and broken down into smaller segments. You can use these clips as short educational or training videos that can boost your marketing efforts. These short video clips can be uploaded to video sharing sites or be featured in your blog posts. Video marketing is an essential part of modern day online marketing. Source: ClickMeeting
What Does Chuck Do?
Although Greg originally wrote this articles several years ago, I have since updated it.
I use ZOOM to do one person webinars. I will record a training session that is 5 to 15 minutes long. I then upload it to YouTube. From there, I have it transcribed and made into an article. Next, I strip the audio out of the video and upload it as a podcast. Finally, I take clips from the training and make them into shorts/reels that I can upload on YouTube or Facebook. This strategy lets me take my MLM webinars and convert them into multiple pieces of content.
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, using MLM webinars to grow your network marketing business is a smart move. Webinars help you build up the like, know, and trust with your prospects. Plus, you can brand yourself as an expert and leader, which makes you an attractive sponsor to your prospects.
In today’s digital world, if you aren’t doing MLM webinars, you are missing out. I encourage you to start making videos and webinars as part of your overall marketing strategy. You will be glad that you did.

I love training webinars and like that they can be done with programs like Zoom, Google Hangouts, or Skype. I like that people from all over can get together without having to travel and in some cases they can be watched at a later date for those who may have had to work. I believe that development is very important whether it’s leadership training or product training you can always continue to learn, and you should want to learn for your self development. Using this type of software is cost efficient and allows you to reach many people.
What a great idea, Chuck! I think webinars are a great way to build any type of business for a few reasons. First off, you can automate your webinar, and your prospects won’t even know it was recorded. Additionally, a webinar allows people to connect with you, because they can hear and see you at the same time. Plus, it lets you work smart and share your sales message with many people at the same time. Whether it’s MLM, travel or even a coaching business, webinars are a great way to sell and get your name out there.
I do webinars on ZOOM all the time for my team. I’ve never done one to give a business presentation or sell my products, but it’s something I am going to start doing this year. There are just too many benefits of doing webinars as compared to meeting with someone face to face or talking with someone on the phone.
