Are you looking to buy or sell MLM solo ads? If so, you are in the right place at the right time. In today’s article I want to share some of my best tips about buying and selling MLM solo ads, so you can get a positive return on your time and money investment. I don’t want you to waste your time or money or get scammed.
I have used LOTS of different MLM Solo Ads to build my email list and grow my network marketing business online during the past ten years. Other than pay-per-click advertising, solo ads are the fastest and easiest strategy I know of to build your email list QUICKLY.
What is a MLM Solo Ad?
A solo ad is simply when you pay someone with a targeted email list to send their list YOUR EMAIL MESSAGE or advertisement.
This is how it works. Someone has a large email list consisting of people in your target market. You pay the person a set amount of money for a pre-determined amount of clicks or for a one time use of their list. You then email the list owner your email message and link and they send your email to their list on your behalf. It’s that simple.
Reasons to Buy Solo Ads
What I’d like to do in the paragraphs below is share a few reasons you should consider buying MLM Solo Ads to grow your MLM Business.
# 1: Ease of Use
Solo ads are very easy to do. Yes, there will be a short learning curve, but once you have purchased two or three solo ads you should know what you are doing. Compared to other marketing strategies, solo ads might just have the shortest learning curve.
# 2: Cost Effective
Compared to other advertising methods, solo ads are inexpensive. You can typically buy clicks for 30 to 50 cents each. I typically generate leads using solo ads in the $1 to $3 range, depending upon which vendor I use.
# 3: Fast Delivery
With solo ads, the ads start and finish quickly, normally in less than 48-hours. Compare that to other advertising strategies where it can take a week or two before your ad even starts.
# 4: Scale Your Business
Solo ads and paid advertising allow you to scale your business. Once you have an ad and capture page that convert well, you can just pump more and more money into your advertising and get a PREDICTABLE result.
# 5: Generate Leads 24/7
Solo ads are a passive recruiting strategy. They are not tied to your time. You can generate leads while your sleep, which is exactly what you want.
# 6: Little Competition
With other marketing strategies, you are competing against many other network marketers. Personally, I do not know of any network marketers outside of my own team who use solo ads to grow their business. That’s something to consider.
# 7: Endless Supply of Leads
Solo ads will not become saturated anytime soon. There are thousands and thousands of sellers who will promote your link. Plus, these sellers are typically adding hundreds of fresh names to their email list daily.
Reasons to Sell Solo Ads
Selling solo ads can be very profitable. It can be a substantial income stream that could easily surpass your network marketing income when done right. Of course, on the front end, it would take CONSIDERABLE time and money to build up a big email list, but once you’ve done that the sky is the limit.
I think of it this way. There are MILLIONS of network marketers. 99% of them need MORE leads. If you could offer them a quality service at a quality price, and it helps them solve their problem, you could make a great income doing so.

How to Find a Good MLM Solo Ad Vendor
I like to share a few simple tips about how to find a good MLM Solo Ad. As of date, I’ve spent more than $50,000 on solo ads. I’ve done many things right and many things wrong. I hope you can learn from my successes and failures.
Tip # 1: Look for Guaranteed Clicks
When you buy a solo ad, you normally have two options. Some list owners offer a guaranteed amount of clicks to your website for a specific cost. For example, they might sell 200 clicks for $100.
Other list owners simply guarantee they will send out your email, but they cannot guarantee the results you will get with their service. When possible, choose list owners who offer guaranteed clicks. It doesn’t do you any good to spend money on a solo ad if the list is crap and no one clicks on your link to visit your website.
That being said, you need to make sure the clicks are REAL clicks, not bots. I’ve made and lost money with guaranteed clicks and with solo ads where guaranteed clicks weren’t offered.
Tip # 2: Look for Customer Testimonials and/or Reviews
On the solo ad sales page, look for client testimonials. If the service is good, there should be several customer testimonials, ideally lots of them. If possible, contact some of these people just to verify the testimonial is real and see what they have to really say about the service.
Many testimonials online are fake, so you need to do your due diligence before you buy a solo ad. You can also type in the name of the solo ad plus the word review or scam, into Google, and see what you get.
If the service is crappy, there is a good chance that several people wrote about it or did a video about it. Don’t take everything you read or see at face value, but at least do your due diligence and see what you can find. If there are lots of negative things about the solo ad service, I suggest you look for a different vendor.
What I do when looking at reviews is to eliminate the best and worst reviews and then see what most people are saying about the service.
Tip # 3: Find Out How the Person Built Their List
Ask the list owner how they built their email list. This is important. If the list is a bunch of “freebie seekers” you are probably wasting your time buying the solo ad. Instead, look for a list that has proven buyers in it. Find out what marketing strategies the list owner used to collect the names and emails and how often he/she sends emails to their list.
I would rather send an email to a list of buyers than a list of freebie seekers. A good list of 1,000 names can easily outperform a list of 5,000 junk names, so do the best you can to make sure the solo ad list is top quality.
Tip # 4: Find Out Their Refund Policy
Find out if the list owner offers a money back guarantee. In other words, if they offer 200 clicks, do they guarantee you will get at least 200 clicks? Will they resend your email if you don’t get the 200 clicks?
Just clarify what type of guarantee there is before you purchase a solo ad. Also, find out if they offer a money back guarantee if the ad doesn’t convert well. Most list owners won’t give you a refund, since it is a service, but if you don’t get any clicks, or if you get fewer clicks than promised, they should at least resend your ad to their list.
Tip # 5: Cheaper is Not Always Better
You get what you pay for. Cheaper is not always better. Sometimes you can find a cheap deal that is great quality. And other times it is a waste of money. I’ve tried many different solo ads and most of the cheap ones produced horrible results.
Even though they were cheap they didn’t generate many clicks, leads, or sales. On the other hand, the more expensive solo ads are not always the best choice either. You have to start small and test. You will never know if a solo ad will produce good results until you try it.
Typically, when I purchase a solo ad, I like to pay between 30 and 50 cents per click. That’s a good baseline.
Tip # 6: How Long Will It Take to Send Out Your Solo Ad?
Many of the best solo ad services have a backlog. They sell so many solo ads that you might have to wait one to three weeks (or longer) before your ad goes out. Make sure you ask the list owner before you purchase a MLM Solo Ad, what the wait time is. That way you aren’t surprised in a bad way.
Tip # 7: Is the Seller Responsive?
I had to add this to my list of solo ad tips because I think it’s vitally important. Does the solo ad provider offer their phone number, so you can call them with your questions? How long does it take them to respond to your emails or calls? Are they polite and professional when you communicate with them? These are very important factors to me.
Solo Ads Training
Here is a training video about solo ads I did specifically for my team. I hope you enjoy it.
Buy a MLM Solo Ad Online: Suggested Vendors
Listed below are a few MLM Solo Ads vendors I use and recommend.
Herculist
Herculist is a gold mine, if you use it properly. I’ve used their services more than six years now. As a Gold Member, you can email 260,000 people DAILY. I do okay with that option, but I do much better using their paid advertising options such as PRIME, HERCUBLURB, and Smart List. Learn more about it here.
My Lead Gen Secret
This is an amazing program. For just $1 per day, you get your own autoresponder and 100 leads added to it every day. If you refer another member, you get 200 free leads per day instead of 100. You are allowed to email your leads 1x per day. If you stayed with this program for a year, you would have your own autoresponder with 36,000 to 72,000 leads that you could email 1x per day. Not bad if you ask me. Learn more about MLGS right here.
Your Advertising Center
This is a great resource for a ton of affordable traffic to your website. It’s also something a lot of people don’t know about, even though it’s been around more than 20-years now. I purchase ads here for my team advertising CO-OP and for myself. Learn more.
Udimi
UDIMI is a broker for solo ad sellers and buyers. They connect the buyer and sellers and protect both parties during the transaction. There are hundreds of sellers you can buy solo ads from and their prices are quite competitive. If you’d like to learn more about Udimi, check out this link.
Titanium Traffic Package
This is a great traffic package with World Profit. You can send out solo ads, be put in their rotator where they manage everything, and countless other options. They also offer a great affiliate program. Learn more right now.
ViralURL
I’ve used the VIRALURL service for nearly ten years now. I love their service. They have free and paid options. You can purchase three solo ads, to about 15,000 members, for around $65. That comes out to about $20 each. I always get lots of clicks when I use their service. They also have free options. Learn more about VIRALURL.
Tips for Success with Solo Ads
If I was going to give a few tips for success with your MLM Solo Ads, this is what I would tell you.
First off, only send people to a capture page, not a replicated website. Most people don’t buy something or join something the first time they learn about it. Your only goal is to “capture” their name and email so you can follow up with them in the days and weeks to come.
Next, always start small and test. If you have a $500 marketing budget, for example, start with a $20 test to see what type of conversion rate you get, before you commit to spending more money. Once you find something that works well, you can scale your efforts.
In addition, craft a good ad. Share your ad with a few experienced marketers to get their input, before you send it out. In the ad, write like you are having a conversation with someone and appeal to their emotions. Focus on the benefits, not the facts.
Whatever you do, pick an eye catching subject line. This is hands down the most important part of your solo ad. Without a good subject line, your email won’t get opened. If you have thirty minutes to write a solo ad, spend the first 15-minutes working on the subject line.
My final tip is to track each solo ad to measure the effectiveness. You want to look at the opt-in rate (what percentage of people who visit your web-page become a lead) and conversion rate (sales). The conversion rate is more important than the opt-in rate.
You should use a tracking code with each solo ad, so you can measure the results. Most affiliate programs let you do this easily. Just visit the back office. If that isn’t an option, you can purchase a simple software program online to allow you to create tracking codes.
Please know upfront that you will go through a learning curve with MLM Solo Ads, especially if this is new to you. It might take you 10 to 20 or more solo ads to figure out what works and what doesn’t work.
Even if your first few MLM Solo Ads don’t do well, don’t give up and quit. Stay persistent and learn from your mistakes. You’ll figure it out in no time.
Once you master solo ads you will have a constant flow of leads coming into your business every single day! It makes the business fun and easy.
Final Thoughts
In summary, I am a big fan of MLM Solo Ads. Whether you are a newbie or experienced network marketer, solo ads are one of the fastest and easiest ways to get more leads for your network marketing business.
The key is to find a good list and have a good offer. In the beginning, you will have to go through some trial and error to figure out what works best, so it’s in your best interest to start small and test everything you do. I hope that helps.
What are your thoughts? What type of results have you experienced with MLM Solo Ads? Leave a comment below to let me know what you think. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Chuck,
I thought solo ads were a thing of the past because the last time I used them was about 10 years ago for a program I was in.
After reading your info I will have to consider solo ads again!
It’s funny how you forget about things.
cheers,
Bruno.
Solo ads are still alive and well, Bruno. I buy them daily. You just have to educate yourself and make sure you find a respectable, trustworthy seller.
Chuck, I just read this article and you have quite a few options. I’ve also looked at trafficforme.com and Igorsolads.com. I’ve never bought solo ads but I want the highest converting ones I can find. I’ve got a decent capture page to send them to. Which one would you say you have the highest conversions with or is it random? I’ve been using craigslist and have decent results but it’s expensive so I’m looking for a cheaper alternative.
Whenever I buy solo ads or do any type of paid advertising, I test the results. I have done great with Craigslist and solo ads, but I’ve also had many failures. Start small, test each advertising source, and keep improving. If you have $100 to spend, buy three different ads for $33 each. By following this approach you can be systematic and work smart.
I have used solo ads, but never from any of these. I will look into them.
I want to say that you are absolutely correct in not leading with the business opportunity, or even products for that matter. The primary idea is to build your list, and by giving away something free like an eBook or whitepaper, you will draw many takers. It is also imperative that you aim these ads at your target market.
I am going to look closer at these. I am always searching for ways to add names and emails to my list. Thanks Chuck.
Thanks for the comment, Greg.
I have no experience with solo ads but they sound like something I want to look into further. I’m familiar with the pay per click ads and they are very hit or miss. You get lots of impressions but not necessarily lots of clicks. I like the idea of renting a list from someone with a better list in a target market. That way you know your message is going to the right audience and it’s coming to them from a trusted friend and its not something they stumbled upon on a search engine.
I really like the idea of utilizing solo ads for MLM business growth, because they are cost effective and the payoff is huge. Because they are so affordable, even network marketing newcomers with small budgets can make use of them and help their businesses take off! Tools like solo ads keep the playing field level and give even the little guys an opportunity to get big and maybe even surpass the marketers they were renting clicks/lists from!
I’ve been using solo ads for a long time and really love it.
Chuck, Are solo ads short like a classified ad, or longer with more information. Would you be willing to share a sample of a solo ad to give me a better idea of what kind of ad I should be writing? Thanks.
Solo ads are typically one to three paragraphs long. They are short and to the point and basically have the same information that is on a capture page: a headline, a few bullet points and a call to action (along with your link). I will include a few solo ad examples below.
I can definitely see where a MLM solo ad can be a very effective way to market and promote your business- especially to a new target audience or to a new target area. I have done a few myself but never as intensely as you are talking about here- might have to use them more frequently.
Solo Ads are huge. They’re a quick and fairly easy way to send traffic to any website. I recommend everyone at least check them out and educate themselves about solo ads.
Thanks for sharing all of the options. I would like to try one of these options myself but I’d probably need to do some more research to ensure I make the right choice. As of now, I am really liking the ViralURL Membership idea. It seems economically feasible and I like the idea of building something for the long-term rather than just a “right now” type of fix.
Viral URL works. It’s really geared for people in the internet marketing niche though.
I second your idea and has witnessed it myself that MLM Solo Ads are a big hit for success. I get numerous leads and that in an economical price too. I find this strategy costing me way less than what I pay for other advertising for traffic and the results are really good. To get success with Solo Ads you need to investigate and enroll with a listing that sounds viable for you MLM business.
I personally love solo ads. I love that they are simple, fast and easy to do. Even a cave man could do it. It’s an easy way to drive traffic to a website and to get leads.
