In today’s post, I was to educate you about MLM Sizzle Calls, share two example MLM Sizzle Call Scripts and discuss MLM Sizzle Sessions. Let’s get started.
What is a MLM Sizzle Call?
A sizzle call is a pre-recorded voicemail message (normally just two to five minutes long) that people can call in and listen to 24/7.
It’s designed to pique your prospect’s attention and educate them about your company, opportunity, or service. It removes you from the equation and gives you leverage to share your presentation 24/7.
Sizzle calls work as a filtering process. You send people to your pre-recorded message first. People listen to your recording. Uninterested prospects hang up before the call is complete or simply do not leave a message. Interested prospects listen to the entire call, leave a message, or proceed to the next step. In both cases, this saves you time and money and weeds out the tire kickers.
Another good thing about a sizzle call is that people are more likely to call a “recorded” message than call a “live” person, because they fear salespeople, and they don’t want to be sold. Sizzle calls help lower their buyer’s resistance.
Tips to Create a Great Sizzle Call
When it comes to creating a successful MLM Sizzle Call, here are a few tips I can suggest:
Keep the message brief, no longer than five minutes. Most people have short attention spans. Don’t “drag out” the call. Focus on the key points and benefits.
Have someone with a good voice record it, preferably an attractive woman’s voice. If you don’t have a good “recording” voice, hire someone to record the message for you. Ideally, find a lady with an attractive voice and have her record it. This will skyrocket your responses.
Have great energy and be enthusiastic. Make sure the recording is positive and uplifting. Mix in a few seconds of uplifting music at the beginning of your voicemail. Ensure the person is not dull or boring.
Appeal to people’s emotions. We are emotional human beings. Appeal to your prospect’s emotions throughout the call. Focus on what’s in it for them. That’s what they are really interested in anyway.
Focus on curiosity. That is what sells. Don’t spill all the beans. Keep your prospect on the edge of their seat. Your job is not to “sell” them on the call and give them information overload. Instead, just give them enough information to decide if they want to proceed to the next step.
Use testimonials whenever possible. If possible, include two to three testimonials in your Sizzle Call. These should be REAL people (other than the speaker) sharing their brief testimonial. This gives your message added credibility.
At the end of the call, tell your prospect exactly what you want them to do next. This is the most crucial step. Make sure you include a call to action at the end of your call. Tell them EXACTLY what you want them to do next, such as visit your website, leave a message, text a certain phone number, etc.
Use software that lets you keep track of callers, so you can follow-up with people who didn’t listen to the entire sizzle call or leave a message. This is my bonus tip. In most cases, no more than 20% of your callers will leave a message or listen to the entire recording. If your voicemail services provides caller ID, use it, and call back everyone who called your number. You will close additional prospects if you do this.

Hello and thanks for calling today. If you’re a real estate agent or broker, you are in the right place at the right time. My name is John Smith. My goal today is to talk to you about you. I’m going to ask you a few tough questions and I simply want you to answer them in your own mind.
Do you ever get worried not knowing when your next “big payday” is coming? Do you remember when your last big deal fell through? You worked double time to put the deal together, only to find out you would earn NOTHING for all your demanding work.

Putting Your Calls Together
Here’s a simple way to put your Sizzle Call together. I found this information online:
I’ve used AudioGrabber and Audacity to put together lots of sizzle calls. Basically, I find testimonials of people talking about my products or business and I record them with AudioGrabber. Then I pull those recordings into Audacity and clean them up (get rid of dead silence and “ums” and “ahs”).
I record myself giving a quick intro and quick outro for the testimonials. I record myself directly into Audacity but I could go through AudioGrabber, too. Then I use Audacity to stitch all the tracks together.
Once you have the audio for your sizzle call you need to have a good voicemail service to use it with.
The voicemail service I use is with VoiceNation. I like VoiceNation because they have toll free voicemail for about $5 a month. The features of their service include unlimited length greeting, Caller ID, monthly call detail reports and you receive an e-mail every time someone leaves you a message.
Once my sizzle call is ready, I record it as my outgoing greeting with my VoiceNation service and I’m ready to start taking calls.

Ways to Promote Your MLM Sizzle Call
Here are a few simple ways to promote your MLM Sizzle Call.
Business Cards: Include your Sizzle Call number on your business cards. Make it a point to give a business card to everyone you meet.
Mail Postcards: Postcards are a simple and cost-effective way to get exposure to your Sizzle Call. Create a catchy postcard and mail it out to a targeted mailing list.
Classified Ads: Don’t overlook newspaper classified ads. Depending on your message, and target audience, this is an affordable way to get your message out there.
Email Signature: Include your Sizzle Call number in your email signature, ideally in the P.S. line. Create a catchy headline to grab people’s attention and then tell them to call the pre-recorded number to get more information.
YouTube Videos: YouTube videos are my favorite way to promote MLM Sizzle Calls. You can create videos about your opportunity for people in your target market. You can produce a good title, description, and metatags to optimize your video. You can include the sizzle call number in the description and at the end of your video.
Blog & Forum Comments: This is a simple, free way to promote your Sizzle Calls. I highly recommend doing leaving blog and forum comments. Find a few blogs or forums geared for people in your target market and include your Sizzle Call number in the comments OR include a link to one of your YouTube videos.
Have Contests with Your Team: Another simple thing you can do is have contests with your team. Give out prizes to anyone who has a prospect call the recorded call. Give a separate award to the person with the most prospects who call in. If you can get 10-20 team members to participate, you can explode your business.

MLM Sizzle Sessions
MLM Sizzle Sessions are magical. In many cases, they are more effective than a business opportunity meeting.
I learned about MLM Sizzle Sessions from one of my mentors, Don Failla. The longer I am in this industry the more I agree with him.
A MLM Sizzle Session is when a group of distributors meet up to share ideas about building the business. Ideally, three to twenty people meet up for a lunch or dinner. They sit around one or two tables and strategize. They discuss what’s working in their business and what isn’t working.
They answer questions and help each other. Most Sizzle Sessions are one to two hours long.
Distributors are encouraged to bring their prospects to the meeting. The prospect can enjoy a nice, complimentary meal or snack and observe the other people having fun and helping each other. As a result, the prospect gets excited and wants to be part of the team (in many cases).
Compare that to a typical business opportunity meeting that is one to two hours long. It’s difficult to get people to attend. Most speakers ramble on and on. Most opportunity meetings are boring.
In most cases, most of your distributors do not have prospects with them at the meeting. The room might have 20-30 people for the meeting, but only one to three of them are prospects. The rest of the people are people already in the business!
Instead of doing opportunity meetings, I encourage you and your team to start doing MLM Sizzle Sessions. Try it out for a month or two and see how it works. I think you will be happy with the results.
