In today’s post, I want to educate you about having your own MLM Inner Circle. We’ll discuss what one is, why you need one, how to create one, and tips for success.
I first learned about the idea of the Inner Circle, often referred to as a Mastermind Alliance, from Napoleon Hill. He talks about the concept in his best-selling book Think & Grow Rich. If you haven’t read that book before, you should. It’s life changing.
Here are a few things Napoleon Hill says about the Mastermind Alliance.
The Mastermind may be defined as: Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for attainment of a definite purpose.
Economic advantages may be created by any person who surrounds himself with the advice, counsel and personal cooperation of a group of men who are willing to lend him wholehearted aid, in a spirit of perfect harmony.
Now two minds ever come together without, thereby, creating a third, invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind.
When a group of individual brains are coordinated and function in harmony, the increased energy created through that alliance becomes available to every individual brain in the group.
Men take on the nature and the habits and the power of thought of those with whom they associate in a spirit of sympathy and harmony.
After reading these quotes, I hope you can see the importance of having your own Mastermind Alliance or Inner Circle.
What is an MLM Inner Circle?
An MLM Inner Circle is a group of two or more people, who are committed to success in network marketing, who are willing to share ideas and encouragement with each other, in the attainment of a common goal.
In most cases, they work together in the same network marketing company and are part of the same team. But… they don’t have to be. As long as the people in the group are willing to help and encourage each other, the MLM Inner Circle will work.
Why Do You Need One?
Two heads are better than one. I think so anyway. Besides, you don’t know what you don’t know. When you come together with several other people with common goals, and you help and encourage each other, several things will happen.
First off, your belief will skyrocket. You will build your belief in your company, products and the industry. More importantly, you will build belief in yourself.
Next, you will learn new skills that will help you grow your business. In most cases, each MLM Inner Circle member will have their own unique skill set that they can share with other members in the group. This benefits everyone. For instance, Joe might be good at recruiting and Sally might be great at retailing. They can each share ideas with each other about how to improve in each of those areas.
Finally, I believe that being part of an MLM Inner Circle will keep you mentally sharp. It will keep you working on your personal development. It will help keep you motivated. It will help keep you learning. Also, it will give you something to look forward to (getting together with the other members).
How to Create Your Own MLM Inner Circle
It’s actually quite easy to do. First off, find two or three other people who are SERIOUS about the business. Flakes and non-serious people should never be part of an Inner Circle of any kind.
Also, look for people with different skill-sets than you have. Ideally, each person in the MLM Inner Circle can bring something different to the table.
Let each person know WHY you are creating an Inner Circle and what you expect to achieve with it. Tell them what’s in it for them and how they will benefit by participating.
You can do your Inner Circle on Zoom, Skype, Facebook or ideally, meet face to face. When you are just starting out, I suggest you meet twice a month for one-hour each session. Have a clear agenda for each meeting.
Tips for Success
Here are some simple success tips for success for having your own MLM Inner Circle.
# 1: Provide Value
Your MLM Inner Circle must provide VALUE for EVERY member, not just you. If you have your own agenda, and only care about yourself, it will never work. The value to the group is always more important than the value to the individual.
The beauty of masterminds lives in their ability to help its members learn from the collective experience of the group. Not only do the influential leaders help to guide those that are involved, but so do fellow members, who’ve also struggled and overcome things that other members might be going through at that very moment. It’s a rare opportunity for networking and getting one-on-one help at the highest level with the exact people who can deliver the fastest and most proven systems.

# 2: Be Encouraging
This should be a safe zone where you encourage and support each other at all times. No personal attacks or negativity. People must be able to trust other members in the group. Things should be confidential.
# 3: Learn to Listen
If you’re the only one doing all the talking in your Inner Circle meetings, you are really missing out. Every team member should talk equal amounts. No one should monopolize the conversation.
In order to succeed in multi-level marketing, you must be willing to listen to your mentors and learn. Most multi-level marketing companies offer mentorship from the company’s MLM veterans to new representatives. It is in the veteran’s best interest to see you succeed, so most of the time they are willing to teach you how the system works. You can duplicate your mentor’s success by listening and practicing what they teach.

# 4: Get Organized
Every meeting needs to have a clear agenda, start time and end time. You do not want to waste people’s time. Each meeting must have a clear purpose.
# 5: Keep Meetings Short and On Time
Respect people’s time and always start and end on time. Keep your meetings to one-hour or less.
# 6: Look for People with Different Skills
Once again, it’s important that you look for people with different skill-sets to be part of your group. As long as you all have similar goals, and support each other, you want people who each bring something different to the table.
# 7: Meet Frequently
Ideally, your MLM Inner Circle should meet once or twice a month for an hour per session. Face to face meetings are ideal, but not always possible. Leverage technology such as SKYPE, ZOOM, conference calls, and Facebook video whenever possible.
If you want to have a strong team that’s literally unbreakable, have more meetings and go to more conventions together.
This creates a pact that is unable to be broken. In it’s literal sense, this is where people come in. This is where the bonding of the business happens. Confidence happens to exude from every pore when you get together often and you’ll enroll more team members.

# 8: Record the Meeting or Take Notes
If possible, record the meeting or have someone takes notes that will be published and shared with the other members.
Final Thoughts
There you have it folks. Having your own MLM Inner Circle (or being part of someone else’s) is vital for your long-term success in our industry. Ideally, you want to spend time with other movers and shakers who have different skills and talents than you.
Make sure that everyone benefits by being part of your MLM Inner Circle, also known as a Mastermind Alliance. Provide value, encourage others, and help everyone succeed.

I try to stick with that once monthly meeting schedule. It seems to work well for everyone because the meeting frequency isn’t too much, but rather just enough to recap and refresh. I know people are busy so you don’t want to overwhelm them. But you do want to be consistent in meeting so new information gets shared, questions can be answered, and old topics can be readdressed as they need to be.
Meeting once a month with your inner circle is a good thing.
When you network with other like-minded people, not only will you get to ask questions and get answers quickly, but you’ll also network, learn, teach, and build relationships. Being part of an inner circle, or creating your own, is one way to do that.
There’s a saying along the lines of, “you’re the five people you spend most of your time with.”
Also, I’d be happy to join your mastermind group on Facebook, I’ll hit you up on you email soon.
Thanks!
Everyone should have their own mastermind or inner circle. It’s a must do.
