In today’s post, I want to share some of my favorite MLM Food Companies. This list is easy to put together, since there aren’t too many companies in our great industry specializing in this niche.
To clarify things, I define a MLM Food Company as a network marketing company that sells food or food products. Food must be their PRIMARY product to make my list. This can include sauces, spices, meats, herbs, or anything else you can eat.
For the purpose of this post I am EXCLUDING network marketing companies that specialize in meal replacement products and weight loss shakes, or sell food as a secondary product. With that being said, lets get started.
Top MLM Food Companies
# 3: J.R.Watkins
J.R. Watkins recently celebrated their 150th anniversary, making them one of the oldest network marketing companies still in business. That is mega-impressive. When I think of J.R. Watkins, I think of high quality and affordable products.
While they do sell a wide variety of products, they have a good amount of food products as well. Some of their best-selling food products include:
- Cinnamon (my favorite product they make)
- Vanilla (my second favorite product)
- Grapeseed Oil
- Black Pepper
- Chili Powder
- Cumin
Of all their food products, their biggest selection comes in spices. Most of their food products are $10 or less.
150 years ago, we set out to create natural remedies that would soothe and heal your body. Today we challenge ourselves to help you set right modern-day stressors – focusing on mind, body and spirit. At J.R. Watkins we are committed to helping you find calm, peaceful moments of reprieve from daily stress through our products and regimens. ~ J.R. Watkins website
# 2: Tastefully Simple
Tastefully Simple is a great company and opportunity. They have amazing food products.
When I visited their website today, I found 133 different food products to choose from. This includes beverages, breads, muffins, desserts, dips, seasonings, snacks, soups and much more. Most of their individual products are in the $10 to $20 range.
Some of their best reviewed food products include:
- Hey Garlic! Stir Fry Sauce®
- Orange Beer Margarita Mix®
- Philly Cheese Steak Warm Dip Mix®
- Spiced Sampler®
- Peppermint Bark Kit®
The company was founded in 1995. They are a member of the Direct Selling Association®.
Tastefully Simple is proud to have been recognized as a top company in the direct sales industry. In 2000, Founder & CEO Jill Blashack Strahan was named an Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year in the Minnesota and Dakota region. In 2005, the company was included in Inc. magazine’s 500 Hall of Fame list for making the Inc. 500 list five times, and Jill Blashack Strahan was awarded Inc. 500 All-Star status. ~ Tastefully Simple
# 1: Wildtree Herbs
Wildtree Herbs easily came in number one on my list of the top MLM Food Companies. They are based out of Rhode Island and have been in business since 1996.
Their product line includes sauces, marinades, soups, breads and doughs, jams, jellies, oils, desserts, dips, and much more. I don’t know their exact product count, but I’d guesstimate that it’s somewhere between 100 and 200 products.
Some of their top-selling products include:
- Absolutely Onion Blend®
- Asian Ginger Plum Dressing & Marinade®
- Chipotle Lime Rub®
- Dill Dip Blend®
- Fiesta Salsa Mix®
- Garlic Galore Seasoning Blend®
They even offer a line of organic products. Here’s what their website says about their products.
- USDA Certified Organic Facility
- No GMOs, MSG, or artificial colors
- 100% Peanut Free
- Kosher approved options
They are also a member of the Direct Selling Association®.
Wildtree is a purpose-driven spice and seasoning company that began over two decades ago when a mom wanted to create healthy meal solutions for her children with dietary restrictions. Since our humble beginnings, we have expanded our offerings to include sauces, oils, plant-based shakes, and more — all to deliver delicious, artisanal products and recipes that empower healthy living through delightful meals. ~ Wild Tree Herbs
The Party Plan
These MLM Food Companies are designed around selling via the party-plan. While that might not be a good fit for everyone reading this post, it is a wonderful way to make new friends, make sales and get endless referrals. What better way to sell food than to sample it?
You can also set up at local events, create your own YouTube channel, or sell one-on-one. Just review the company’s policies and procedures before you start any new marketing strategy.
Why Pick a MLM Food Company?
Why are MLM Food Companies a great opportunity? In my opinion, they are a great opportunity because food is consumable. It is not a “luxury” item. No matter how bad the economy gets, people will spend money for food. Not so with magic potions and lotions.
Additionally, most people enjoy cooking and entertaining others. If you can show them a way to try new foods at an affordable price, most folks will at least consider it.
Before you join any particular MLM Food Company, you should order some of their products as a retail customer first. You should order at least five to ten different items and sample some products. If you like the products, and think they are a good deal, even at the suggested retail price, you’ve found a good company to work with.
Honorable Mention
There are LOTS of companies in our industry that have some type of food product, even if it’s not their primary product line. Here are a few that I had to put in honorable mention.
- Melaleuca®
- Neolife®
- Tealightful®
- Amway®
- Shaklee®
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, there are several established MLM Food Companies doing business in the United States. These MLM Food Companies present a viable business opportunity for anyone who enjoys food and enjoys selling via one-on-one, or by home party.
The secret to success is to find a company with products you are passionate about and then team up with a successful distributor in that company. Once you join a MLM Food Company, you need to acquire a solid customer base first, and then focus on recruiting distributors. If you can do that, you will achieve success and make money.
What are your thoughts? What is your favorite MLM Food Company? Leave a comment and let us know what you think. I look forward to hearing from you.

I have heard of 2 of these companies, but I have not tried any of their products. I know the Watkins Business is reputable and people I have spoke with who have been with, or used Watkins products are extremely happy.
I had also heard of Wildtree Herbs. I heard their prices are a bit high, but the quality is exceptional. I cannot say one way or the other because I am going on word of mouth.
I do believe food MLM companies are a good idea for someone looking to start a network marketing business. Everyone needs food.
These are great companies. I think another new company in this niche is “Thrive”. I don’t know much about them yet, but I will check it out.
i want to do my food business with MLM method.
Would you please give us some suggestions?
Thanks
Douglas
I live in the north east and have not heard of any of these businesses, except for Wildtree Herbs (because I literally just read your post on the company as an introduction). Perhaps they sell to retail stores? Like s. conrad (above), I am familiar with Schwans, which sounds a lot like Rastelli Direct on your list (minus the gourmet seafood). There are also have a few local farms and dairies in my area that will deliver fresh meat and produce for a fee. It can get a bit expensive, but I feel that it is worth it sometimes, because the food really is so much better than what you get at the grocery store.
Most of the companies on my list are fairly new and fairly small (still growing). Most people have never heard of them. I don’t think that’s a bad thing though. Paying for convenience is pretty common and in many cases worth it.
The area within which I live is very rural, and I haven’t heard of any of these companies. That may also mean that there is a great business opportunity right here for me. I may have to look into that. Here, in the north east, we have a food company called Schwann’s that comes door to door, but I don’t think they are a MLM. You are right- food is a necessity, so it may be worth checking out!
Those companies do business in the north east. They just might not be saturated yet.
