In this article, I’d like to share some of my best tips on how to build a “high converting” capture page for your network marketing business. I want you to have a capture page that gets noticed and converts well (about 25%).
Top 10 Tips to Develop a Winning MLM Capture Page
There are many major and minor things you must do to create a MLM Capture Page that works. In reality, you never know what will work best until you test your results. Listed below are 10 things you can do to improve your capture page.
# 1 A Simple Layout
I’ve personally found that the simpler you can make things on your capture page, the better off you will be. You don’t want lots of bells and whistles that overwhelm or distract your visitor, or cause the page to load slowly.
You don’t need a bunch of fancy graphics either. Keep the page clean and keep it simple. Make sure your MESSAGE is your primary focus. At least 90% of the content on your page should be text.
# 2 Good Color Choices
I believe that red, white, blue and/or orange are the best colors to use. Red is very pleasing to the eye. So is orange. I’ve also done well with black and white capture pages.
My best advice is to keep your capture page to no more than two or three colors.
You don’t want your capture page to look like a rainbow of colors. Test out your capture page on different devices (cell phone, table, laptop) to see how the color layout looks. It should look sharp, professional, and easy to see.
# 3 Great Headline
Your headline is the most important element of your capture page, as I see it. You want a catchy headline that grabs your visitor’s attention and entices them to read the rest of the information.
I’ve found that “Discover, How To, and Learn” are great ways to start out a headline.
Keep your headline to one or two sentences max. I’ve found that 7 to 14 words works best. Keep it simple and to the point and make sure your visitors know “what’s in it for them.”
Make sure your headline is in large font and bold, so it really stands out.
# 4 Give Three to Five Benefits in Bullet Points
Ideally, you want to share three to five benefits about what you have to offer, in bullet point format.
Most people focus on features. That is a big mistake.
Have short bullet point statements that give the benefits about what you do or about what you are offering. Remember, features tell and benefits sell.
Keep your bullet points short and simple. Put the most important benefit first.
# 5 An Irresistible Offer
Nothing beats the offer! You should give away a free report, video series, webinar, boot camp, eBook or something with a very high perceived value.
Folks are getting smarter these days and they are reluctant to give away their email. Make sure your offer is so irresistible that they WANT to opt in.

# 6 Simple Opt In Form
If you ask for anything more than the person’s name and email, you will lower your conversion rate. Don’t ask for the phone number or mailing address unless it is absolutely necessary. If at all possible, just ask for their email.
# 7 Video or Audio
Audio or video can help with conversion, but you definitely have to test it. If you use a video, make sure it looks professional, plays automatically, and is no more than two-minutes long. In your video, introduce yourself, talk about your offer, the benefits and tell them what you want them to do next.
# 8 Call to Action
You have to give your viewer a call to action if you expect them to do anything. Tell them EXACTLY what you want them to do.
An example call to action might say: “Type in your name and email right now to get immediate access to our free 20-minute webinar about starting your own home based business!”
“Type in your email and click submit to get access to my free 7-Day Boot Camp!”
Be specific and tell them what you want them to do and WHY!
Few people will ever click on these links, but they do give you additional credibility. Most online advertisers require you to have these policies in place if you plan on using their advertising services.
# 10 Traffic
The final component of a good capture page is TRAFFIC. Without a good amount of traffic, you won’t know if your capture page is good or not.
You can have the best capture page in the world, but if no one knows about it, it won’t do you any good.
Once you set up your capture page, you have to send at least 1,000 targeted visitors to it to determine what type of conversion rate to expect.
Once you’ve done this, you can start doing some small split-testing and look for ways to improve your conversions.
The Bottom Line
These are some important elements of a good MLM Capture Page that I’ve learned on my own during the past 8+ years online.
It’s important to know that you must continuously test and improve your MLM Capture Page. Keep making small adjustments to your capture page and see what type of effect it has on conversions.
Keep the winners, ditch the losers and keep testing. Get started and never stop testing.
Within a few months you should have a capture page that converts at 20%-30% or even higher. 25% is a good goal to shoot for. Anything above 30% is exceptional in my opinion.

Creating a great MLM Capture Page is a SCIENCE.
In the beginning, you will mess things up and make lots of mistakes. As you progress, you will learn from your mistakes and tweak what you are doing. Within six to twelve months you can become an expert at developing high converting capture pages for your MLM Business.
