My MLM Business Strategy for 2018

Today, I want to take a few moments and share my MLM Business Strategy for 2018.  Before I cover my business strategy, I’ll take a brief moment and share my goals first.

My Business Goals

building an empireHere are my goals for 2018 for my network marketing business.

  2. Reach the rank of LEGEND in my business
  3. Add 3,000 new team members

Please keep in mind that as of November 25, 2017, I have only been with this company for 23-days.  You should also know that I work my network marketing business full-time, so my goals could sound extreme to someone doing the business part-time.

My MLM Business Strategy for 2018

Let me start out by telling you that I am a former Army Officer.  I spent a lot of time in the military planning missions. This experience has helped me immensely in the MLM Industry.

While I am good at the tactical work of my business, I really enjoy the goal setting, planning and strategy development. I am a big picture kind of guy and I rarely get hung up in the details.

I set yearly, monthly, weekly and daily goals.  I have a daily checklist of items I must do each day. And, I am a task master and work very efficiently.  That being said, here is what I do each day.

# 1 Personally Reach Out to Twenty New Prospects Daily

Most of my prospects contact me first, because of my advertising and blogging. Despite that, I will reach out to twenty new people each day, normally by email or Facebook.  Every day I work my business I will reach out to at least 20 new people who I have not contacted before.  If I do that daily, I will have nearly 500 conversations per month, which should result in 30 new personally sponsored people each month.

# 2 Send Two Hand-Written Notes per Day

I am a big believer in the personal touch.  Anyone who is on my team or on my mailing list understands this.  I know that direct mail is a very powerful way to stay in touch with people and cultivate a relationship, but I also know that a hand written note is the best way to do that. I will send minimum TWO hand-written notes per day to prospects, team members, friends, family and people on my mailing list.

# 3 Blog Three to Five Times Weekly

I blog three to five times per week. I build my entire business online, via my blog. I’ve spent tens thousand plus hours and to build up a successful blog, but now it generates me endless leads on demand. I outsource some of the writing, but try to spend about an hour per day editing or writing articles.

#  4 Email My Team 3x per Week

I send out a training email to my team, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  I provide recognition, training tips, product education, inspirational quotes, training videos and much more.  I send this out three times per week to EVERYONE on my team, so they know what is going on and have the most current updates. This is one of the most important things I do in my business.

# 5 Attend Weekly Training

We’re fortunate to have online meetings four times per week. I don’t facilitate any of these meetings myself, but I try to attend of all them, and encourage my team members to do the same thing.

# 6 One-On-One Mentoring

I spend most of my one-on-one mentoring time with my leaders, and with the people I have personally recruited. Most of the mentoring I do is in a group setting, but I do conduct private mentoring when needed.  I complete this through Zoom, Facebook Video Messenger, Voxer, SKYPE, email or by phone.

# 7 Answer My Phone

All of my calls are inbound. I do not call any prospects.  Instead, I use advertising and marketing so people call me first.  I get a lot of phone calls every day, probably 15 to 20. I almost always answer my phone and do not screen calls.  This takes 1-2 hours of my time every day, minimum.

# 8 Update My Team’s Facebook Group

I spend about one hour per day updating my team’s Facebook page.  I share inspirational quotes and videos, success tips, provide recognition and support, and encourage others.  I enjoy doing Facebook Live training for my group as well.

Putting It In Perspective

How much time will all of this take?

  • Reach Out to 20 Prospects – 90 minutes per day
  • Handwritten Notes – 10 minutes per day
  • Blogging – 60 minutes per day
  • Email my Team – 20 minutes daily
  • Online Meetings – 60 minutes per day (average)
  • One-on-One Mentoring – 60 minutes per day
  • Phone Conversations – 90 hours per day
  • Update Facebook Group – 30 minutes per day
  • Personal Development – 60 minutes per day
  • Total Time Per Day – 480 minutes (about 8 hours)

If you were to break everything down, you would see that I spend about 8 hours per day to do all of these things.  It’s a lot of work, and I definitely won’t work this hard forever.  But, I am new to my company and I am going “all in” for the first year to get the business built quickly.

The Bottom Line

The bottom line is that you need a MLM Business Strategy that matches your available time and your business goals.  You don’t need to do exactly what I do, but you need to do something that works for you.  My challenge to you is to come up with your own MLM Business Strategy BEFORE January 1st and have the discipline to follow it every day or a year.

  1. You had mentioned attending a network marketing event each week. Are there that many events going on in your area? When you speak of events, what exactly are you talking about? Would that include trade shows, flea markets, etc….? For many people who live in rural areas, that may be a difficult thing to do. What would you suggest for people in those situations in finding ways to meet new people?

As a person who receives your training emails, I must say they are a great way to keep in touch with people. It helps people learn, and it also shows that you do care about them and where they are headed in life. When it comes time that one of these people are looking to join a system, yours will be their first thought.

    • I would consider a networking event as any type of event in your local area where groups of people who might be interested in your offer meet up.

      • I just ran across your reply Chuck; thank you. Yes, there are always some type of event where you can meet people who may be interested in the products or opportunity. It could be flea markets, trade shows, or anything of that nature if I understand you correctly.

Just out of curiosity, how are you coming with these goals for 2015? If I read your blog correctly, I believe you are probably ahead of pace. This is the first week of March, and from what I have seen, you have been doing a lot. The MLM Facebook page is a great indication of that.

Thanks for all you do Chuck. You are helping many of us understand network marketing much better.

        • Thanks for the kind words. I base my goals on the previous year’s results, what I’ve learned, and what I think I can accomplish if I really put myself out there.

          • That is the best way to set goals. Look at previous accomplishments, and your education, and judge accordingly. For people just starting and have no base to set there goals off of, I would suggest researching a similar system and basing your goals from that. One thing about goals is, if part way through them you see you are under the numbers, or way over the numbers, it is quite easy just to reset your goals.

I wish you the best my friend with all your goals for 2015.

    • Thank you very much Mr Chuck,I have done only 13 days in the business and I was able to sign one person,I work only partime but i i will work harder,my aim is to get 3 more down line at before theme them at end of this month.

  2. Your strategy is a great one for reaching new heights in 2015. You broke it down to 2 hours each day in active work and I think that is a small price to pay in order to have a sturdy business. I really like that you broke down the tasks to make things seem much more attainable. I mean if you cannot find the time to do these tasks them MLM probably isn’t the way to go.

    • I think 2 hours a day is a pretty small price to pay to achieve success.

  3. This sounds like a great strategy and it is bound to help you make good money.

In what traditional business can a person work just 2 hours per day and accomplish what you have put down in writing here? It seems to me that if a person can find an MLM that they feel good about, and they follow your design to invest 2 hours of each day, only good things will follow.

It always helps to break your days into simple tasks as you have here. By following a blueprint, a person can go a long way towards success,

    • Yes, you definitely need a blueprint and a little bit of discipline.
