MLM Activity Tracker: What Works for Me

Today, I’d like to share my MLM Activity Tracker with you.

To be successful in our industry, you need to be disciplined with your time, and work smart, especially if you are doing this business part-time. Your focus should be on the income producing activities, not the busy work. You really can build a successful network marketing business in just one hour per day, if you have a game-plan. But, it won’t happen by accident. You must be intentional.

In order to make that happen, you need some type of simple tracking mechanism. If you don’t track it, you can’t improve it. If you don’t track it, you won’t really know what you are doing right or how much of it you are doing.

I’ve discovered that most people in our industry do a lot less to build their business than they think they do. If they tracked their numbers each day, they would realize they don’t do enough income producing activities.

How do I know this? I’ve been guilty of it myself. Until I started tracking my daily activities, I wasn’t very productive. Yes, I was busy. But, I wasn’t getting the results I wanted in my business. Now that I track everything I do, so I can be strategic and work smart at the same time. As a result, I’m now very productive in my business.

MLM Activity Tracker

I use this tracker myself. It has a points system. I set a goal of how many points I’d like to earn each day and then I do enough activities on the list to earn points. I suggest minimum 20 points per day for part-timers and 50 points per day for full-timers.

Prospecting/Inviting (Goal: 8+ points daily)

_____ Call someone on your name’s list to invite them to learn more (3 points for each new person, 6 points max per day)

_____ Contact 2 prospects by email, Facebook or text (1 point for every 2 people, 2 points max per day)

_____ Meet a new prospect face to face and get their contact information (1 points per person, 2 points max per day)

_____ Text or email 10 leads (1 point total per 10 people, 2 points max per day)

_____ Hand out 10 drop cards (1 point per 10 drop cards, 1 point max per day)

_____ Add 2 names to your name’s list (1 point for every two people, 2 points max per day)

_____ Mail out 10 postcards (1 point for 10 postcards, 1 point max per day)

_____ Do a Facebook live about the products or business (3 points per video, 3 points max per day)

_____ Give/Share a business presentation with one of your own prospects (4 points per person, 8 points per day max)

Retailing (Goal 4+ points daily)

_____ Ask someone to buy a product (1 point per person, 2 points max per day)

_____ Sell a product (3 points for each person who buys, 3 points max per day)

_____ Give someone a product sample (1 point per person, 2 points max per day)

_____ Follow up with an existing customer (1 point per person, 3 points max per day)

Duplication/Team Building (Goal: 6+ points daily)

_____ Complete Getting Started Training with one of your new team members (1 point per person, 2 points max per day)

_____ Help a team member launch their business (2 points per person, 6 points max per day)

_____ Help one of your team members sponsor someone or sell a product (2 points per person, 6 points max per day)

_____ Help one of your team members achieve 20+ points with their MLM Activity Tracker (2 points per person, 2 points max per day)

_____ Have a team member attend an event with you (2 points per person, max 6 points per day)

Personal Development (Goal 2+ points daily)

_____ Read for 20 minutes (1 point max)

_____ Watch a video to improve your skills (1 point max)

_____ Talk with your coach (1 point max)

_____ Listen to an audio training program for 30-minutes or more (1 point max)

_____ Attend a conference call, webinar or local event (2 points per event, 2 points max per day)

You don’t have to do exactly what I do, nor do you need to follow my MLM Activity Tracker as is. That being said, you need to come up with some type of MLM Activity Tracker that works for you. Feel free to edit or modify this as needed until you come up with something that is a good fit for your business.

Once you do that, do the activities on your tracker at least 6 days a week. Make a game out of it and see how many points you can achieve daily. Have contests with your team to see who can get the most points each day, week or month. By doing so, your business will grow. It has to.

In conclusion, this is my MLM Activity Tracker. Following a simple tracker allows me to work smart and be very productive in my network marketing business. I hope you will incorporate something similar in your own business, so you can get similar results.

  1. The trackers help tremendously! I used to reply on my brain or jot down what I have done on a piece of paper, which wasn’t very effective at all. Thanks to implementing your tracking system Chuck (and keeping it on a spreadsheet such as Google Sheets) I can easily keep track of what I do each day, as well as see how productive I had been all week/month.

    Then if you want to go even further you can match it up to your results to get the big picture of your performance. That way you can see what works for you and what doesn’t so you can easily alter your method if necessary.

    1. Most definitely. If you don’t track it, you can’t monitor it or improve it. Having a daily checklist to follow keeps you very productive in your business. I live by my checklist every single day.
