Melaleuca Herbal Shampoo Review

The purpose of this post is to provide an independent review of Melaleuca’s Herbal Shampoo.

Please note that I am not affiliated with the company in any way and I am not getting paid to recommend it.

I absolutely love the Melaleuca Herbal Shampoo.

During my lifetime, I’ve probably used 50 to 100 different shampoos, but this one is hands down my favorite.

Nothing else even comes close.

I’ve been using it off and on since 2004.

melaleuca herbal shampooHere are a few quick things you should know about it:

  • Designed for daily use
  • Made for both men and women
  • Works as a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner
  • Protects and strengthens your hair
  • Contains 14 natural botanical extracts
  • Perfect for all hair types
  • It comes in an 8 ounce or 32 ounce bottle

Melaleuca Herbal Shampoo Ingredients

If you look at the product label, you will see a long list of ingredients.  Some of those ingredients include:

  1. Water
  2. Sodium Coco Sulfate
  3. Butylene Glycol
  4. Beta Vulgaris
  5. Citric Acid
  6. Maris Sal
  7. And many, many more ingredients!

**** This is not a comprehensive list of ingredients, just some of them.  There are a lot of ingredients on the label (more than 40).  I’m not sure what most of them are, so if there had to be one thing I didn’t like about the product, that would be it.

What I Like About the Shampoo

What I like most about the Melaleuca Herbal Shampoo is that it smells great.

It cleans your hair very well and it is priced very competitively.

No, it isn’t as cheap as something you can buy at the Dollar Store, but it isn’t department store prices either.

One 8 ounce bottle sells for $12.99 on Amazon.

I looked on eBay too, and you can get it a little bit cheaper there.

One bottle normally lasts me a few months.

Where to Buy It

You can buy the shampoo from a local Melaleuca Marketing Executive or you can visit eBay, Amazon, Craigslist, or other online websites to purchase it.

I highly suggest you shop around.

There’s no reason to pay the suggested retail price, if you can get it cheaper.

Final Thoughts

In summary, the Melaleuca Herbal Shampoo is a great product.

It is very reasonably priced at about $10 to $12 per 8 ounce bottle.

It leaves you hair smelling fresh and clean.

And, it can be used by both men and women alike and it is designed for all hair styles.

Although I am in no way affiliated with the company, this is still my favorite shampoo in the marketplace.

I know someone who loves this stuff. I will have to get some from him and see how it is. I never used it but I know he loves it. I like that it has herbs in it. I always look for natural herbs and oils in bath products. Great review.

I have used this product off and on for years! Absolutely a fantastic product. I attribute the higher-quality products from Melaleuca to the research and development that goes into each and every product. And they can afford that approach, because they manufacture it themselves and customers tell people how great the products are. No middle men to pay that will inflate the cost.

    Awesome post, Chuck!

The tea tree oil that Melaleuca uses in its products has a number of significant benefits, including cleansing and nourishing skin and hair, and is notably beneficial for any hair type. Melaleuca’s shampoos do not strip or damage the hair, yet cleans build-up from styling products very well, and actually helps repair dry and split ends. While straight tea tree oil has a rather strong aroma, I find it pleasant in Melaleuca’s products.

I’ve struggled to find a good shampoo for almost two years. I’ve purchased about 30 different brands during that time. I stumbled across the Melaleuca Herbal Shampoo when my neighbor approached me about Melaleuca. I decided to try out a few products as a customer. Needless to say, this is my favorite product. It smells good, leaves my hair fresh, and it’s priced right. I recommend it to everyone I talk to.

I am a lover of all things Melaleuca. The company seems to hold the same beliefs that I do in terms of products and their impact on the environment, the body, and the wallet. I have used this shampoo for a few years and my hair has thanked me for making the change. It is a lot healthier and a lot stronger. It has body, shine, and styles a lot better. I would certainly recommend the product. And for the price, you really can’t beat it.

    Hi Chuck,

I’m also a big fan of the Melaleuca Herbal Shampoo. I have been a Marketing Executive with Melaleuca for more than five years now. I love all the products and this one is one of my top 10 products. Although I haven’t done too much to build my business, I’m very happy ordering the products every month. They are priced right and high quality. Thanks for teaching others about what Melaleuca has to offer.

      Andre,

I’m glad you like the Melaleuca Herbal Shampoo. If you’re happy as a customer, there’s no need to feel bad about not building a business. As long as you enjoy the products each month, I don’t see it being any different than shopping at your local grocery store or discount store.

Finding a shampoo which is safe for daily use is kind of hard these days. Most shampoo has been ramped up in the cleaning bit so it can be quite harsh even for use every few days. Melaleuca is great when you want or need to be fresh for some occasion or another; use it without worrying about your hair falling out.

Look at any of the ingredients in most shampoos you can buy today and you will have no idea what you are using. They have a list of so many different chemicals. Even though I love the Melaleuca Herbal Shampoo, my biggest gripe is the list of ingredients. Other than that it is great. But it would be nice to know what all those things really are.

      James,

I did notice how much stronger and less resistant to breakage my hair was after I switched to this shampoo. There are spots in my hair where I had noticed hair falling out where it has no regrown because the Melaleuca shampoo is a lot more gentle on my hair. I just love that the company really puts a lot of time into creating products that are good for people and not harmful.

All I can say is WOW. I joined Melaleuca last week and just got my first box of stuff in the mail. One of those products was the Melaleuca Herbal Shampoo. This stuff smells so good and leaves my hair so clean. I think I have a new favorite shampoo.
