In today’s post, I’m going to talk to you about Immunotec, which happens to be a very good network marketing company.
By the time you have finished reading this post, you will have a better understanding of their history, the company leadership team, the compensation plan, and their top-selling products. Keep in mind, I am in no way affiliated with the company.
I am providing this information so you can be completely educated before purchasing any Immunotec products or becoming an Immunotec independent representative.
Just to be clear up front, Immunotec is a successful network marketing company specializing in health and wellness products. The company was founded from various scientific studies and findings.
Immunotec’s headquarters are in Quebec, Canada. They also have offices in Commerce, California and Mexico City.
The History Behind Immunotec
Immunotec, Inc. was founded in Canada in 1996. But, the science behind the company’s product line took place many years prior.
In the 1970’s, Dr. Gustavo Bounous and several other people from McGill University in Montreal, Canada were studying the effects of whey protein on the immune system of humans.
Without diving to deep into the technical side, I will just say that Dr. Bounous became famous for his research and the discovery of how the proper formula would enhance glutathione levels in humans, which would make their immune systems stronger.
Dr. Bounous worked endlessly developing that “perfect” formula… 15-years endlessly to give you an idea.
In 1993, Immunotec’s flagship product was trademarked under the name Immunocal.
But, how could he market this product? After all, Dr. Bounous was a scientist and did not look at himself as an entrepreneur. While searching for a laboratory to rent, he met Dieter Beer who owned a building and was completely impressed by the work Dr. Bounous was doing.
Dieter saw the possibilities and suggested a business relationship. Soon after, Dieter introduced the Dr. to a network marketing expert, Chuck Roberts.
As a result, Dieter and Chuck became the founders of Immunotec Research and the wheels started in 1996.
Growth was slow at first, but steady. Much of this was because the company was primarily focused on selling products, and not as much on building a network of independent distributors.
Immunotec’s Leadership Team
The leadership team behind Immunotec, Inc. has a lot of direct selling experience. As a matter of fact, the current CEO of Immunotec was Executive Director of the United States’ Direct Selling Education Foundation for 4 years.
These are the current leaders of Immunotec:
- CEO Charles Orr
- CFO and Vice President Patrick Montpetit
- COO Robert Felton
- VP of Research and Development John Molson
- VP Latin America Gabriela Moreno
- VP Sales David Marshall
- VP Marketing Mimi Cohen
- VP Regulatory Affairs David Pelletier
The Immunotec Compensation Plan
There is not a lot of info on the company website about the compensation plan. They do state you can earn money via 6 ways, which are:
- Retail profits
- Customer auto-ship wholesale profits
- Residual commissions and rank advancements
- Business builder bonuses
- Moving up bonuses
- and Upline moving up bonuses
One reference site states that there is no fee to sign up as a distributor but you need to purchase a starter pack, which is around $250 for the smallest one. This site also says that the volume that you must sell monthly to attain commissions is high. Keep in mind, I have no way to verify that.
