I was coaching one of my team members today to help her create some excitement and growth in her team.
I spent about 30 minutes before our call developing a list of 10 tips to help her recharge her MLM Business.
I know her well, so I came up with some ideas that I thought would benefit her unique situation.
It helped her a lot, so I figured I would pay it forward and share it with my blog visitors.
Keep in mind that not all of these ideas may apply to you or interest you.
Try to find just one idea on this list that you could use to recharge your MLM Business.
These tips are listed in no particular order.
# 1 Create a Contest for Your Team
Create a contest for your current team members. Have a contest where anyone can qualify. A great contest would be to have a recruiting contest. For every customer or distributor someone signs up they receive one entry into the drawing. The more people they recruit, the more entries they receive. Give away a few prizes. By all means, recognize the top recruiter. But, make sure the contest is designed for part-timers.
# 2 Cold Calling
Make a commitment to call 10 leads per day for the next 90 days. That’s 900 people. Smile and dial. You never know who you will meet. Buy some leads and get busy. You can call 10 people per day in less than 30 minutes per day.
# 3 Recognition
Start recognizing people on your team whenever you can. Start recognizing BEHAVIORS and ACTIVITIES, not just results. You don’t have to spend a lot of money doing this either. Get creative and think outside the box. People crave recognition and will do just about anything to receive it.
# 4 Create a Few YouTube Videos
Post 30-50 short videos on YouTube over the next month. Decide who your target audience will be and get creative. Provide tons of value and then have a call to action at the end of the video for people to call you or visit your website. It only takes a few minutes to make a video and post it online. Do NOT be a perfectionist or over analyze this. Just do it!
# 5 Hand Out 10-20 Drop Cards & Sizzle Cards Daily
Make it a goal to hand out 10-20 drop cards every day. When you are out and about hand out drop cards. Put a drop card in the envelope when you pay your bills. If you meet someone during day to day life, give them a drop card. It’s really easy to do and doesn’t take much time.
# 6 Do a Guest Post
If you like to write, reach out to a successful blogger with a large audience and see if they will let you do a guest post. You never know until you ask. When you write a guest blog post you typically get to provide an author bio at the end of your post, with a link to your website and your contact information. This is a great way to expand your reach and get people to contact you.
# 7 Create a Facebook Group
Create a Facebook group for people who would be interested in your products or services. Or, create a group geared around a subject that interests you. For example, if you are a stay at home mom, create a group for stay at home moms. Invite your other stay at home mom friends to the group. If you sell weight loss products, create a weight loss support group. Provide good value to the people in your group and make sure everyone knows about your products and business.
# 8 Do Some Advertising
I’m a big fan of advertising. Get your phone to ring if you want to recharge your MLM Business. Invest some money so you can get prospects calling you. Trust me, that will make the business fun.
# 9 Start a Weekly Call
If you aren’t already doing a weekly call for your team, start one now. Provide training tips, do recognition and create a community. Make the call fun. Invite everyone to the call and encourage them to participate.
# 10 Refine Your Daily Routine
Look at your day planner. Make sure you are scheduling time to build your business each day. Plan your work and work your plan. Track how you spend your time working your business for the next week, and then look for things you can do to improve your routine.
Putting It in Perspective
The best thing you can do is be honest with yourself and evaluate how you are currently spending your time. Get back in production mode and focus on the money producing activities. Not doing those things consistently is what has probably created the downturn in your business. If your network marketing business is in a slump the best thing you can do is quickly go out and start 5-10 new legs. That will give you an added boost, new excitement, and maybe even some momentum. Remember, it’s hard to get to the next rank with the same group.
One Last Piece of Advice
My best piece of advice is to make your own list of 10-20 ideas on how you could recharge your MLM Business. Spend 30 minutes somewhere quiet and brainstorm ideas. Write down as many things as you can. Write down whatever comes to mind. When you are done, prioritize the list and focus on the 2-3 best things first, instead of trying to do everything at once. Also, keep this list with you at all times and always add new ideas to the list.
