How to Build Your Network Marketing Business During COVID

Today, I’d like to share some of my best success tips on how to build your network marketing business during COVID.

COVID has positively impacted our industry, even though its negatively affected many people’s lives. Because of the crazy times we are in, many people now understand the importance of (1) working from home, (2) having a plan B, and (3) having an extra income stream.

In fact, many people who might not have previously been open to our industry would now consider it.How to Build Your Network Marketing Business During COVID

How to Build Your Network Marketing Business During COVID

If you are one of the wise network marketers, you understand that NOW is the time to get really serious about your business. In the paragraphs below, I’m going to share 12 tips on how to build your network marketing business during COVID. Let’s get started.

# 1: Don’t Stop Doing Offline Strategies

While it might be tempting to transition your network marketing business to 100% online recruiting during COVID, don’t do that. Going 100% online is a big mistake. Keep doing offline strategies AND do some online stuff.

Since COVID started, many people have shifted 100% online. This means there is ample opportunity to still build offline.

Here’s something to consider. When was the last time you were prospected face to face about a network marketing opportunity? See my point?

# 2: Consider Direct Mail

If you haven’t tried postcard marketing or direct mail yet, now is the time to do it. People are home. People read their mail. People are HUNGRY for an opportunity or Plan B. It might be a good time to test out some different postcard or direct mail campaigns. I’ve been mailing postcards like crazy during COVID and have had great results.

# 3: Update Your Daily Routine

Every network marketer needs a detailed daily routine. Now is the time to evaluate your current daily mode of operations and identify which tasks you should keep doing and which ones you should stop. Spend 60-minutes somewhere quiet, print off your daily routine, and evaluate each task. Brainstorm different things you can “add in” to your routine.

# 4: Follow Local Ordinances & Laws

Educate yourself with your local laws and ordinances about social gatherings and mask wearing. Don’t break the rules. If you aren’t allowed to have large gatherings, don’t do it. Do the right thing and encourage your team to do the right thing.covid mlm

# 5: Respect People’s Health Concerns

Don’t give team members or prospects a hard time if they don’t want to hang out in groups right now. And don’t give people a hard time if they do! Respect other people’s health concerns. Wear a mask when you are around others, if you want to, or if they want you to. Also, don’t bully people or shame people if they DON’T want to wear a mask.

# 6: Double or Triple Your Activity

Many network marketers have slowed down or stopped building their business during COVID. This creates a HUGE opportunity for you. It’s a good time to double or triple your activity.

Many people are home now. Many people have been laid off and are out of work. People are open minded and realize how important a plan B is.

With fewer reps actively recruiting people because of COVID, this gives you an added boost.

# 7: Stay Connected with Your Team

Many people feel alone right now. That’s the consensus I get when I talk with people. People have been isolated for about a year now. Whatever you do, make sure you stay in touch with your team. Even if you can’t meet locally, do webinars, conference calls, care calls, send notes and cards, and stay in touch with people. Add the personal touch whenever possible.

# 8: Don’t Make Medical Claims

Do not make medical claims saying your products can help with COVID, or that they cure COVID. I’m seen some amateur network marketers do this recently. It looks unprofessional and can lead to legal trouble. Don’t do it!network marketing during covid

# 9: Follow Up with Previous Contacts

Go back to your contact list of everyone who told you no or wasn’t ready to join. Revisit the people you sponsored who quit the business. You might discover their situation changed and they are now ready to join the business. You’ll never know if you don’t ask.

# 10: Stay Positive

With all the negative in the media and online, keep a positive outlook. Remember, positive attracts and negative repels. Look for the good in things. Look for the good in others. Be optimistic around your team and prospects. If you have troubles, go upline. Whatever you do, don’t ever be negative around your team.

# 11: Stay Focused

Don’t get derailed by everything going on in the world. Stay focused on the prize: your vision and why. Keep the main thing the main thing. Remember, tough times never last but tough people do. At some point in the future, normalcy will return. If you keep building your business between now and then, you will be a in a good spot when that happens.

# 12: Lead with Your Opportunity

Even if your company has great products, which I hope they do, now is the time to lead with your business opportunity. Why? Because most people want and need more money during these crazy times. People are looking for extra income or a Plan B. Lead with your opportunity and default with the products.

  1. I know Covid did not really affect my business negatively at all. To be honest it started growing. During this time I was able to find a local coffee shop who was looking to put all natural products in their shop. We have formed a relationship, and have now been working together for 5 months. The owner is even now taking my products also! Covid really helped me start thinking outside of the box with my business.

    1. Awesome. COVID has affected many businesses, in both good and bad ways. It’s important that we learn how to adopt. We must be steadfast in our goals, but flexible in our approach. Sometimes, what seems to be really bad can turn out to be a real blessing for our business. It’s a matter of perspective.

    1. I mail postcards every day. If you’re going to do direct mail, I would tell you this. If your postcard is to lead with the business, only mail postcards to people with mail order or MLM Experience. On the other hand, if your postcard is product oriented, only mail to people who are already buying similar products. And, track each postcard and mailing list so you know your conversion rates.
