In today’s post, I want to provide a detailed review of Herculist. As a quick disclaimer upfront, I am a happy customer and affiliate with Herculist.com. I’m going to write about my own experience using their services, and talk about why I recommend using them.
What is Herculist?
Herculist is a safelist. A safelist is an online database of people who give other members in the database permission to email them with different offers. In a nutshell, you can email other members and they can email you. Herculist.com is an all-inclusive website to advertise your online business and grow your email list. It is also an affiliate program that pays up to 50% of all sales, depending on your membership level.
How I Learned About Herculist
Believe it or not, I learned about Herculist from doing a YouTube search. I was looking for additional solo ad providers and found a video about Herculist. I watched the video and then did my own due diligence and decided to try them out.
How Long Have They Been in Business?
According to their website, John Gloeckner is the owner. He lives in Iowa. When I researched the domain, it was launched in 2001. I don’t know if they have been owned by the same person the entire time, but I do know they are an established business, more than 10-years old.
I have talked with John several times by phone and/or email. He is an honest, good guy who treats his customers well.
What Services Do They Offer?
They offer a variety of advertising services to their members, to include:
- Solo Ads
- Email Blaster
- Hercublurbs
- Guaranteed Visitors
- Website Traffic
- & More!
These are other services, in addition to the email you are allowed to send out free of every three days (paid members can email people daily). These additional services are 100% optional. You can pay for some of their services, and you can also earn “credits” by reading emails that other members send out. These credits can be redeemed for different advertisements, to promote your own offer.
What Are the Different Membership Options?
They currently offer three different membership options with Herculist.
Free:
- Daily plain text email/web ad submitted to 1,000 members
- Earn 25% commissions on all referral membership payments
- 20 second timers
- 2:1 surf ratio (theZONE)
- $5 signup bonus
Pro:
- Plain text email/web ad submitted to 86,162 members every other day
- Earn 35% commissions on all referral membership payments
- 15 second timers
- 1:1 surf ratio (theZONE)
- Active vacation mode (send email ads without receiving other member submitted ads)
- $5 signup bonus
- This membership sells for $29 per year or $9 per month
Gold:
- Daily HTML or plain text email/web ad submitted to 86,162 members with first and last name subject line and body personalization option
- Earn 50% commissions on all referral membership payments
- 5 second timers
- 1:1 surf ratio (theZONE)
- Active vacation mode (send email ads without receiving other member submitted ads)
- $5 signup bonus
- This membership sells for $39 per year or $9 per month
I will be honest with you. In my own opinion, the free and PRO membership levels are a waste of time and money. The Gold membership is where the magic happens. It is the only membership level I personally endorse.
From time to time, there is an option to buy a LIFETIME membership. I bought that membership level myself.

Benefits of Using Herculist
The major benefits of Herculist are that you can generate new leads for your network marketing or affiliate marketing business, each and every single day. It is an all-in-one advertising solution.
As a Gold Member, you can send an email to approximately 200,000 people per day. There are also low-cost advertising options such as banner ads, sponsored ads, and solo ads. There’s also an amazing affiliate program, so by referring a few people yourself, you can make enough money to cover the cost of ALL of your own advertising.
I also believe this is a great additional income stream for network marketers and internet marketers. After all, just about everyone in our industry struggles to get leads. Now, you can show them an affordable way to do that, and profit from it at the same time.
Disadvantages of Herculist
The major downside of being a free member is that you will get a TON of emails every day from other members. I would suggest you open up a separate email account for this, or upgrade your account to a PRO or GOLD membership, so you can set your email to “vacation” mode and not get any emails from other members. Other than that, I cannot think of any disadvantages.
Herculist Affiliate Program
The Herculist affiliate program is free to join, although I do recommend upgrading to a Gold Membership level, so you can maximize your commissions. The payouts are 25% for FREE members, 35% for PRO members, and 50% for GOLD members. Once you hit the $10 threshold, you can get paid. If you make enough sales, you can also get paid daily via direct deposit, bitcoin or check. They are also different payment options for people outside of the USA.
Plus, when you join Herculist for free, they give you $5.
My Experience
My experience with Herculist.com has been wonderful. I use it to promote different affiliate programs and capture pages. I have found that promoting different traffic sources and lead programs are what converts best for me on Herculist. I also use it to promote Power Lead System and my MLM Business.
I also recommend it to just about everyone I talk to, because I know it will help them get more leads for their business. While I was a FREE member for a few days, I did get a ton of emails from other members, but after upgrading, I didn’t.
To be honest with you, I don’t know where else you can go online, for less approximately $50 per YEAR, and get the same resources being offered by Herculist. The bottom line is that I am a very happy customer, and I would use their service even if I wasn’t an affiliate.
UPDATE: Today is December 25, 2019. I have now generated over 4,000 leads using Herculist and have earned around $4,200 in lifetime commissions (individual results will vary) since opening my account. Herculist continues to be one of my secret weapons for generating cheap traffic, leads and sales.
My Results
What you will see below is a photo of my results using Herculist. This is only with their PAID ads.
I did an experiment with different ads and offers, while tracking my results and Cost Per Click. This was done in July and August 2022. You can see from the experiment I averaged 31 cents per click across all ads. With many of these links I used a two-step filtering process. In other words, I sent people to a bridge page first, and then my capture page. Even with doing that, my traffic and cost per click was significantly cheaper than me using other paid traffic sources.
How to Utilize Herculist
The best way to maximize your membership account is to promote your capture pages. Do not send people to a sales page first. Next, upgrade your account to a Gold membership and send out one email per day to the entire list. Experiment with different ads, subject lines and capture pages to see what converts best. Make sure you use tracking codes for each ad, so you can test your results.
In addition, promote the affiliate program so you can earn some extra money and cover all of your own advertising costs. That would let you advertise your business for free, on complete auto-pilot.
Final Thoughts
In review, Herculist.com is a great advertising option for anyone trying to build their business online. There is really nothing to lose, since you can join for free and try it out. I’m happy with their services and I am pretty sure you will be too.

Glad to help. I have used Herculist for many years now. Their paid advertising is where it’s at. Once you become a GOLD member, I suggest buying paid ads daily. I spend $20 to $100 daily and always get a ton of leads from them.

Systems are what you do to standardize things in your business. It could be a “lead generation system” or “training system.” Think of McDonald’s. They have standard operating procedures for everything they do. These are their systems. I’ve simply created systems for my network marketing business. Hope that helps.

Hey Chuck… I am currently looking at Herculist… I am wondering, you said the best things to promote are systems and traffic sources… Do you market your MLM on there as well? How well are those blasts converting for you (I know results will vary)? Looks like right now they have a lifetime gold for only $69 one time… Which would be an AMAZINGLY cheap investment- IF IT WORKS. Even if it doesn’t, it should be easy enough to deal with the heartburn of $69… Anyway, just curious of your opinion…

Normally 50 to 100, on average, depending on my offer. The best things to promote on Herculist are systems and traffic sources. Just my thoughts.
And yes, I still use Herculist daily and love it.
