In today’s post, I am going to give you an overview of the HB Naturals Gift Card Marketing Program. This is something I am very excited about. As a quick disclaimer upfront:

I’m going to take some time to discuss what the program is, how it works, how to do it correctly, and also cover WHY you should use gift cards to grow your HB Naturals business.
Why Use Gift Cards?
The first question you might be asking is: “Why should I use gift cards to grow my HB Naturals business?” To me, the answer is simple.
Everyone needs more leads and prospects for their business. Without a steady flow of fresh leads you will not be in business for long. I’ve also learned that everyone you talk to LOVES to get something for free. When you give them a free gift card with no strings attached, they will be very happy (in most cases).
Also, using gift cards is simple and easy to do. It does not require any level of specialized knowledge. Even a brand new person can do it. You just ask someone if they’d like a free gift card. How hard is that?
Finally, buying gift cards to give to prospects, in my opinion, is quite perhaps the best way to spend your marketing budget. I’d rather see someone buy gift cards than buy ads. From my own experience, spending money on gift cards always had a better Return on Investment than purchasing ads.
How the HB Naturals Gift Card Program Works
The HB Naturals Gift Card program is simple. First and foremost, there is a limit of one gift card redeemed per mailing address. If more than one distributor or customer (such as a husband and wife) live at the same address, only one of those people can redeem and use a gift card.
The HB Naturals Gift Cards gives you $25 off a $25 or larger purchase. This is a great deal, because most MLM Companies that use gift cards require you to spend much more than that just to be able to redeem a gift card.
The gift cards are not physical gift cards. Instead, they are digital: a series of numbers. When you buy gift cards, they are instantly uploaded into your back office. You can simply email, text, or send someone the code for them to use. If you want to, you can buy blank paper gift cards and write your gift card codes on them, and then give those to people.
The gift cards can be redeemed by wholesale or retail customers. When you redeem a gift card it subtracts $25 and 25 CV from your order. Finally, the gift cards expire after one year and are non-refundable.
Cost of Gift Cards
What you will see below are the cost of the gift cards. The more you buy at one time, the cheaper they are. Plus, the gift cards are COMMISSIONABLE volume.
- 1 $25 gift card costs $25 and has 25 CV
- 5 $25 gift cards cost $50 and have 50 CV
- 10 $25 gift cards cost $100 and come with 100 CV
- 20 $25 gift cards cost $125 and come with 125 CV
If you order the gift cards as an auto-ship order, you also save an additional 5% on your order.
It’s important to note that every month you have a 100 CV auto-ship you get 10 free $25 gift cards. EVERY MONTH! Even if you ordered 100 CV worth of gift cards as your auto-ship order, you would still receive 10 free gift cards with your purchase. That’s why I encourage everyone to be on auto-ship for 100 CV or more.
Two Plans to Grow Your Business with Gift Cards
What you will see below are two different plans you could follow to grow your HB Naturals business by giving away gift cards each month. I use some hypothetical examples to give you an idea as to what is possible. Keep in mind individual results will vary.
Plan # 1: Set up a 100 CV Auto-ship
With the first plan, all you would do is set up your monthly 100 CV auto-ship. By doing so, you would get 10 free gift cards every month.
Your goal is to give away your 10 free gift cards every month. Assume that four of those 10 people buy the minimum, a $25 order. Also assume that four of those 10 people will buy at least $50 worth of products and two of those people will buy at least $100 worth of products.
In this example, you would earn somewhere around $30 to $60 just in fast start bonuses (not counting anything else). Plus, you would have 10 new customers you could follow-up with and get referrals and REPEAT orders from in the months to come. Talk about a win-win!
Plan # 2: Order 20 Gift Cards on Auto-ship Every Month
With this plan, you order 20 gift cards every month on auto-ship for 125 CV and $125. By doing so, you also get 10 additional gift cards for free.
All you would do is give out 30 free gift cards every month. That is just one per day.
Assume that 12 of those 30 people buy the minimum, a $25 order. Also assume that 12 of those 30 people will buy at least $50 worth of products and six of those people will buy at least $100 worth of products.
In this example, you would earn somewhere around $100 to $200 just in fast start bonuses (not counting anything else). Plus, you would have 30 new customers you could follow-up with and get referrals and REPEAT orders from in the months to come. Isn’t that exciting?
What to Say to People
People frequently ask me what should they say to people to give them a free gift card. All I can say is do NOT over think this. There are no secret scripts. Here are a few things that have worked well for me.
- Would you like a free $25 gift card to shop at my website, no strings attached?
- If I gave you a $25 gift card off a $25 purchase at my online health and wellness store, would you use it?
- Do you know anyone who would like a free $25 gift card off a $25 purchase at a health and wellness store?
After you ask the question, pause and wait for the other person to answer.
Ways to Use the HB Naturals Gift Cards
Here are some different ways to use the HB Naturals Gift Cards to encourage more sales.
Give as gifts to co-workers. This could include their birthday, work anniversary, boss day, employee day, employee of the month, or anything else you can think of.
Give as birthday gifts. The easiest way to do this is to login to your Facebook account once per day. On Facebook, you can see whose birthday it is that day. Send them a private message and offer them a gift card as a birthday gift.
Holiday gifts. This could include Secret Santa’s, office parties, gifts for friends and family, and more. You can even print off blank gift cards and write in the gift card number on it, to give it a personal touch.
Have contests with your team. Have contests with team members to see who can give out the most gift cards, who can get the most redeemed, and any other relevant contest you can think of. Give away gift cards to the winners.
Give a gift card to someone when they sponsor their first person in the business. When your new person signs up their first wholesale or retail customer, give them a complimentary gift card as a prize.
Have a raffle of your own, such as a Fish Bowl raffle. You can team up with a local business to do a raffle for free gift cards. Everyone can put their business card into the fish bowl to enter the contest. You could pick a winner or offer a complimentary gift card to everyone who participated.
Donate a gift card to a local charity or raffle. If you volunteer with a local charity, or know of a charity doing a silent auction, you could donate some of your HB Naturals Gift Cards as a prize.
Helpful Tips
When you are giving someone a gift card, have a sense of urgency. Don’t be passive about it. Let them know that you have a limited supply and that other people want the gift cards as well. I let people know they have 24 to 48-hours to redeem the gift card or I will give it to someone else who WILL use it.
Ensure people know how to use it during the check out process. Explain to them that the gift card is good for $25 off any purchase of $25 or more.
Share your gift cards with others on social media. Get creative and think outside of the box. Have contests with your team. Do NOT be stingy with your gift cards. Make it a point to give away as many as you can each month.
Hypothetical Examples
What you will see below is the potential power of giving out free gift cards each month, if you do it consistently, month-after-month. These are hypothetical examples.
Giving out 10 gift cards per month
- = 120 new customers per year.
- Assume 80% are one-time customers, but 20% become repeat customers.
- After one year would have 24 loyal customers who order monthly.
- No out of pocket cost to you because you get 10 free gift cards every month you have 100 CV on auto-ship.
Giving out 30 gift cards per month
- = 360 new customers per year.
- Assume 80% are one-time customers, but 20% become repeat customers.
- After one year you would have 72 loyal customers who order monthly.
- Your cost is $125 per month x 12 months = $1,500.
- This means you only paid about $20 per loyal customer you acquired, which is a BARGAIN.

Final Thoughts
The bottom line is that the HB Naturals Gift Card Marketing Program is an exceptional, low-cost way to grow your business. If you aren’t using gift cards as part of your marketing plan, you are missing out on a wonderful opportunity to find new customers and distributors! Use them whenever possible and teach and train your team members how to do the same thing. You’ll be glad you did.
