If you want to succeed in MLM, you need to have an abundance mentality. Stop thinking you don’t deserve success, great wealth or happiness! Get rid of the bad thoughts, the fear, and the self-criticism.
So many folks sell themselves short. They have what I call stinking thinking and they are pessimistic and have an overall bad attitude.
To be quite frank with you, I’ve never met ANYONE who was successful in MLM who thought this way.
Rather than thinking fear, failure, negative or bad thoughts, successful people are optimistic.
They believe in themselves, they don’t sell themselves short, and they think positively about themselves and what they are doing.
They think ABUNDANCE.
You see, you were designed to do great things. Just because you have failed in the past does not make you a failure, nor does it mean you will fail in the future.
If you really want to succeed in this industry, or anything else in life, work on yourself. Find ways to improve. Learn new things. Develop your skill-set, mind-set and attitude.
Think positive. Put a smile on your face. Do daily affirmations. Do whatever you need to do to get YOU right.
Until you get YOU right, nothing else really matters.
One of the things I love most about this great industry is WHO you become BEFORE you become successful.
You see, I am nowhere near the same person I was when I first joined the industry.
I used to be depressed, have a bad self-image, had a bad attitude, no goals, and I wasn’t much of a people person.
Fast forward twelve years and I am a completely new person.
I am happy. I love what I do. I love myself. I love the industry. The stinking thinking is gone. And most importantly, I realized that I was born to be successful (so are you by the way).
As a result, I have experienced abundance in many different aspects of my life and in my business.
I want the same thing for you.
If you want abundance in your life and in your business, here are a few things I recommend you do.
First of all, read every day. Read positive, self-help books that teach you new skills and improve your attitude. Read minimum 30 minutes every day, no matter what. This one thing alone will do wonders for you.
Next, hang around the right people. Find positive people who have big dreams and are encouraging. Avoid the nay sayers and negative folks whenever possible.
Another tip is to start doing daily affirmations. You can use the Bible, “The Greatest Salesman in the World” or “The Dream Giver” to help you get started. These are all good books. Make sure you say your affirmations when you wake up in the morning and before you go to bed each night.
Furthermore, make sure you practice positive self-talk. Whenever you talk to yourself, be positive. Say good things and don’t be critical of yourself.
Finally, just try to get a little bit better every single day. Keep moving closer toward your goals.
In summary, having an abundance mentality is very important if you ever want to succeed in network marketing. Most people are their own worst enemy. Most people sell themselves short and are very critical of themselves. My best advice to you is to work on your attitude, to set some new goals, to learn from every experience and to spend time reading books and hanging out with positive people who encourage you.
