Today, I want to talk to you about gifting your MLM Products as holiday or Christmas presents.
Let me begin this post by telling you a story. When I was a young kid, my grandmother sold Avon. Every year, for my birthday and Christmas, some of my presents would be Avon products. She would give me everything from watches to toys to deoderant, shampoo, etc. I always thought it was a little bit weird getting these type of gifts, but I was still very appreciative and enjoyed most of the gifts.
Looking back, I realize my grandmother was simply being a good steward of her own business. She did this with EVERYONE in her big family. All of her kids, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers and immediate family members got Avon gifts for their birthday and for the holidays.
You don’t have to be as hardcore as my grandmother was, but I think that gifting your MLM Products is a great way to get added exposure to your products and business. Assuming your products are good, many people you gift them to will eventually want to reorder them. And when they do that they can buy directly from you.
My best advice is to be smart about it. First and foremost, only gift your products to someone if you actually think they will like it and use it. If you don’t think they will enjoy it or use it, SAVE YOUR MONEY! The last thing you want to do is give away a gift that someone throws away, re-gifts, or sells on eBay!
Another tip is to be frugal. Don’t just go out and gift thousands of dollars worth of products to everyone and anyone. You are running a business and you need to be smart about it. Make some retail sales first, and then use some of your retail profits to buy the gifts to give away. If you are in a financial bind, save your money, pay off your bills, and don’t gift anything. Only gift your products if you can really afford it.
Another smart idea is to gift some of your products to your happy CUSTOMERS. Gift them a product they haven’t tried yet. This could definitely lead to new sales.
My last tip is don’t EXPECT the person to buy something from you just because you gifted something to them. Do it from your heart, without expecting anything in return. The last thing you want to do is hurt your relationship with someone you love, just because they didn’t reciprocate and buy something from you.
The bottom line is that gifting your MLM Products can be a great way to get new customers and get added exposure to your products and business. In most cases, you are going to be spending money on a gift anyway, so why not give them something from your own store?
