Four Words to Live by for MLM Success

There are many different skills and attributes that you need to develop and master to ultimately succeed in network marketing.

When you study the top earners in our industry, you will find many things different about them.

They have different religions, ages, life experience, work experience, upbringing and education levels.

They come from every walk of life.

However, you will also find several things they all have in common.

In today’ post, I want to share four things that ALL successful network marketers have in common.

These are what I consider to be the FOUR most words to live by if you want MLM success.

The # 1 attribute of any successful network marketer is VISION.

It’s their ability to see things before it exists.

They can take an idea from scratch and turn it into something big.

People with vision can think past their next paycheck.

Most people can’t do that.

People with vision have a five, ten and twenty year plan of what their network marketing business will look like.

They take the long-term view toward their business.

Every decision they make is based upon the long-term.

They are not concerned with short-term opportunism.

Instead, they want a long-term, sustainable business that truly provides a residual income.

To clarify, I’m not talking about hustling other people.

You should never do that.

Instead, I’m talking about rolling up your sleeves and doing the things you know you should be doing.

You have to work hard, day in and day out.

You have to show up every day.

You have to work, even when you don’t feel like it.

You have to do something to move your business forward each day.

I truly believe that what you lack in skills you can offset with hustle.

The third word to live by is focus.

Focus in your ability to keep the main thing the main thing.

It’s your ability to focus on one thing until you win.

We live in a world where most people have a short attention span and can’t focus on anything more than a few seconds.

Most people want instant gratification.

If you want to succeed in your network marketing business you have to learn how to minimize distractions, manage your time wisely, and always do the most important things first.

Make your business a high priority and keep it that way.

The fourth and final word to live by is discipline.

Discipline is your ability to follow through, persevere and finish what you start.

We live in a society where most people quit EVERYTHING they do.

Most people have no follow through.

Our world is filled with starters, but doesn’t have many finishers.

long term view in mlm memeDiscipline means you keep your commitment.

You do what you say you were going to do.

You make time for your network marketing business.

You follow through until successful.

You do whatever it takes for as long as it takes.

Where Do You Stand?

Where you do you stand in each of these areas?

What can you improve upon?

I would encourage you to evaluate yourself in each area and identify your shortcomings.

Chances are, even a small tweak or adjustment in any of these four areas can make a big improvement in your network marketing business.

  1. I happen to agree with you here Chuck.

And, I believe discipline should be the first because without discipline, we are dead in the water.

I believe I have discipline for the most part, but sometimes I get out of focus. It can sometimes be easy to focus on the less important items and lose track of the money producing items.

As for vision, I do have a vision which to me is simply a long term goal. we need to always work towards achieving that vision, and when we do attain it, we need to set another vision.

I also believe I am good on the hustle side. I was always taught that as a child, so it is somewhat natural.

So, the way I see it, I need to work on my focusing area. Any suggestions on books to read for this? Thanks sir.

    • Yes. Thank goodness I learned discipline in the Army.
