You made a lot of great points in this post! I agree with you on taking the time to train new team members properly. I also like how you consider network marketing a team building business, rather than a recruiting business. If you are pulling person after person in but not really giving them any guidance, then its not really beneficial.

This was a very good post Chuck.

There is one part of this post that hit me hard, and I would like to add to it. You spoke about role playing with your new people. I totally agree, and to go 1 step further, it may be beneficial for them if as their sponsor, you tagged along with them in their first few presentations. Do not do the presentation for them, but after it is done, you can explain what you would have done differently, and be sure and pat them on the back for everything they did right.

This was a wonderful post with a lot of wise words. Thank you.

It would even be better to role play together if both people are within distance of each other, but you are right; in this time of modern technology, in many cases, we may be sponsoring people who are miles, if not an ocean away. Skype is a marvelous tool in these situations. There is another program called go to meeting that also works very well, and I see that Mozilla Firefox has added a program that is similar to Skype. I am a firm believer that role playing can help people a lot. try it…it works.
