Chuck’s MLM Weekly Wisdom # 69: December 30, 2015

Dear Network Marketer:

I hope you are happy, healthy and well.  It’s hard to believe that this is the last weekly wisdom for 2015.  Where has the year gone?  I truly hope that 2016 is a breakthrough year for you. Enjoy this week’s training.

# 1 It’s That Time of Year Again

It’s that time of year where people set New Year’s resolutions and hope to change their lives for the better.  Sadly, most people give up on their resolution within a couple days and quickly revert back to their old habits.

I don’t want that to happen to you.  Instead of creating all of crazy goals that you will never attain, pick one thing for each area of your life: your family, your business, your health, and your finances.  Set a goal of doing SOMETHING to improve each one of those areas every single day.

It doesn’t have to be something significant either.  Make it a point to exercise every day.  Make it a point to show your spouse or partner that you love them every single day.  Do something to grow your business every day.  Do something to help your finances every single day.

As you do these little things over and over it should start to compound.  You would be amazed at what you could accomplish in one year, just by doing a little bit every single day.  You won’t see results overnight, but it does add up and eventually compound.  Try it for yourself, and hopefully 2016 will be much better than 2015 was for you.

# 2 Plan Out Your Week

Most people in our industry have a day job and have never owned a business before.  Most people in our industry are used to being told what to do.  Most people, from the time they were a small child have had someone telling them what to do. This includes family members, teachers, coaches and ultimately bosses.

One of the reasons so many folks struggle in their own business is because they don’t know how to manage their time effectively.  They love the idea of working for themselves, but they don’t know how to plan out their day and be disciplined with their time.

What I suggest you do is take 30 minutes every Sunday night and plan out your week.  Take out your day planner and determine what days you are going to work your business, for how long, during what times, and most importantly what you will do during that time.  Write it down and hold yourself accountable to it.

When it’s time to work, work.  When you are done working, do something else and enjoy life.  You can do this business in 10 hours per week if you work smart.  I hope that helps.

# 4 A Common Mistake

One common mistake I see a lot of network marketers make is placing their hopes in another person.  Here’s what happens.  A distributor meets a sharp prospect.  They show them the plan, only to never hear from the prospect again.  Or, the prospect joins the business, does nothing, and goes into the Witness Protection Program within 24 hours.

Because the distributor was excited about the new person, they got dejected, when the person let them down.  This happens all the time in our industry.  It’s happened to me many times.  A simple way to alleviate this problem is to expect nothing from everyone you talk to or sponsor, but hope for the best.  That way you never get disappointed.

Try to detach yourself from the outcome and only focus on things that you can control.

# 5 The Most Important Person to Sponsor

The most important person to sponsor in your business is YOU.  Until you sponsor yourself, go all in, and burn your bridges, you will never make it big in the business.  If you are only half in your prospect will know it.  You need commitment, conviction and belief.  You must believe in yourself, your products, your company and the industry.  Until that happens you will stumble in your business.  Trust me, one committed and convicted person can change the world.

# 7 Fire Your Upline

I heard this on an Eric Worre video the other day and I believe it is awesome advice.  The sooner you can fire your upline and take responsibility for your own business the better off you will be.  It’s not your sponsor’s job to make you successful.  It’s your business and no one cares about your business as much as you do!

Start showing your own plans.  Do your own meetings.  Do your own calls.  Close your own prospects.  The sooner you do that the better off you will be.

# 8 Sponsor Up Folks!

Stop looking for people who are down and out and NEED the business and focus on finding people who WANT to change their lives for the better.  Ultimately, you are looking for someone who is sick and tired of being sick and tired and will do just about anything to improve their life.  Just because someone SHOULD improve their life, or should want to, doesn’t mean that they actually do want to improve their life.

Stop looking to sponsor unemployed people, broke people and negative people.  These people are good people, but they are not good prospects for a business opportunity.  You want someone with some disposable income.  You want someone with influence.  You want someone with hustle.  You want someone who is coachable.  You want someone who is HUNGRY to improve their life.  Focus on finding that person and watch your business grow.

# 9 Last Day for 90 Day Challenge

You have 24 hours left to register for the 90 day challenge.  If you haven’t done so yet, check out the link to do so.  The challenge will end March 31st. For a small fee of $100 you can be part of our group and have a good support system to move your business forward.  We will do coaching, training, and prizes.  For about $1 per day, I think it’s a great deal.

# 10 Why People Do Nothing

Most people in our industry do very little or nothing at all with their business because they have no skin in the game.  It’s easy to write something off when you only have a couple hundred dollars invested in the business.  You can rest assured that if someone had $100k invested in their MLM Business they would do whatever it takes to succeed.

If you want to succeed in this industry, you must have that whatever it takes attitude.  You must do the business even when you don’t feel like it.  You must act AS IF you have $100k or more invested.  Do that and you will find a way to figure things out.

# 11 Get Leads

Need some good leads?  These are leads I use myself, along with some of my team members.  I am very happy with them.  Currently, when you buy a package you get 4x the leads.  They also offer a great affiliate program so if you refer a few people you can get your leads free each month.  Talk about a win-win deal.  Learn more.

I also want to wish you a very Happy New Year my friend.

I just wanted to say that all the New Year’s Resolution stuff I just do not do anymore. I found that the pressure usually leads to failure, so instead I just started setting goals each week and each day. I find that by doing that, I manage to reach them, and I don’t quit like I have on New Year’s Resolutions,

I also love the part about firing our up-line. It is after all our own business, and they don’t care about our business as much as we do,or do they? That is the question. Do we care enough about our business that firing our up line makes sense?

Thanks for the thought provoking post.
