# 1 The Power of the Mastermind
I learned about the mastermind alliance from Napoleon Hill. Basically, a mastermind is when two or more people work together to help each other reach a common goal. When it comes to network marketing, you should have your own mastermind alliance. It helps if you have someone from your upline and a few people from your downline in your mastermind alliance, but it’s not necessary. You can also team up with other people from other companies. The bottom line is that when several people work together towards a common goal, they can accomplish great things. Two heads are better than one!

# 3 Do You Really Understand Network Marketing?
My mentor tells me that 100% of the people not in network marketing don’t understand it and 90% of the people IN our industry don’t understand it. Network marketing is not about selling. It’s not about mass recruiting. It’s about leverage. It’s about team building. It’s about developing leadership. It’s about replacing yourself as quickly as possible so everything doesn’t depend on you. The most important thing you need to do is build leadership and build your network. Network marketing is about a lot of people doing a little bit, not a few people doing a lot.
# 4 Recruiting Professionals into Your Business
Professionals are some of the best prospects for our business. This includes doctors, lawyers, accountants, insurance agents, realtors, and other people. These folks make great prospects because they are already successful, they have a large sphere of influence, they are respected by others, they have some disposable income and many of them are looking for an exit strategy. No, not everyone will join, but if approached the right way, many of these folks will take a look at your business opportunity. Recruiting even 1-3 people in this category can dramatically improve the growth in your business.
# 5 What is Healthy Growth in Your Group?
How do you know if your group is headed in the right direction? I believe there are two questions you need to ask yourself every month. The first question is how many people do I have on my team ACTIVELY building a business? This is a good indication of your future success. Your goal is to increase this number every month. The second question is “how many levels deeper did I drive each leg of my organization this month?” Ideally, you should drive each leg at least one to three levels deeper every month.
# 6 The Most Simple System You Can Use
Do not over complicate this business. Yes, you want a system that your team members can follow. Keep in mind your best people won’t want or use your system anyway, but most people will benefit from it. Here is the most simple system you can teach people.
- Talk to two people a day
- Get a few customers
- Get a few distributors
- Teach your team members to do the same thing
# 7 Using Third Party Tools
There is absolutely NO reason for you to ever explain the business opportunity to anyone. Use third party tools and remove yourself from the equation. Be the messenger not the message. Even if you are good at showing the plan, most of your prospects will think they could never do what you do. Instead, get them on a conference call, give them a DVD to watch, send them to a webinar, bring them to a meeting, or use another third party tool. This keeps the business so simple that anyone can do it. And that’s exactly what you want.

My featured book of the week this week is “Guerrilla Multi-Level Marketing” by Jay Conrad Levinson. I’ve recommended this before and I will continue to do so. This is the only MLM book I have ever read that teaches you to come up with a game plan that matches your strengths and abilities. It helps you develop a business and marketing plan and gives you tons of different ways you can build your business. It’s a must read book for anyone who wants to be successful in their network marketing business. Read my review about the book.

# 11 The Most Important Question to Ask Yourself Every Day
There is only ONE question you need to ask yourself before you go to bed each night. The answer to this one question will determine whether or not you are successful in your business. That question is “how many people did I share my products or business opportunity with today.” If you aren’t exposing your products and/or business to at least two to five people a day you are only kidding yourself! Without exposures your business won’t grow.
