Chuck’s MLM Weekly Wisdom # 43 – July 1, 2015
Dear Network Marketer:
I hope you are happy, healthy and well. Welcome to this week’s edition of Chuck’s MLM Weekly Wisdom. Enjoy the training.
# 1 Tip of the Week
My tip of the week this week is to look for quality people rather than quantity people. Yes, this business is a numbers game (to a degree). Although you never really know WHO will build the business big, there are some qualities you can look for in people that will improve your odds of finding quality prospects.
First off, most people who do well in our industry are already business minded. They already think like an entrepreneur and understand commission based pay. They are long-term thinkers and can see things before they exist. They aren’t scared to roll up their sleeves and work hard. They don’t expect instant gratification. Most people who’ve only had a job don’t think like that.
Another thing to look for is people with a big burning desire to change their life. Ultimately, you are looking for someone who is sick and tired of being sick and tired of their situation in life. It doesn’t matter what they do or how much money they make. Someone with a compelling reason to change their life for the better is a great prospect.
Another quality prospect is ANYONE who had some type of business as a child. Look for someone who sold newspapers, Christmas wreaths, did babysitting, or anything else as a kid. These folks understand hard work and hustle.
I also like to prospect people who played sports in high school, but weren’t very good at the sport. These are folks who understand the importance of training, preparation and hard work. They might have lacked the skills to succeed at sports, but their work ethic helped them shine.
At the end of the day, you should never pre-judge people. You never really know who will get involved and build it big. By all means, talk to everyone, but always keep your eyes and ears open for prospects who meet any of the criteria listed above. And remember, one or two quality people can change your business (and life) for the better. Good luck!

# 5 Book of the Week
This week’s book of the week is “Swim with the Sharks without Being Eaten Alive!” by Harvey Mackay. I really love this book. I’m reading it right now. It’s loaded with tons of wisdom and tips about sales, leadership, time management, productivity, etc. It would benefit anyone in any business, even network marketers. Order a copy on Amazon.
# 6 Quote of the Week
My quote of the week this week is “Marketing is not the art of selling. It’s not the simple business of convincing someone to buy. It is the art of creating conditions by which the buyer convinces himself. And nothing is more convincing than hard evidence that others want the same thing.” Harvey Mackay
My Take: Use testimonials to help you attract more prospects and close more sales. Remember that your job is to sift and sort through people, not sell them. Ideally, you want them to sell themselves on what you are offering them.

# 8 In the Spotlight
In the spotlight this week we have my good friend Catherine Tryon. She is a successful distributor in a company specializing in essential oils. She’s been with her company more than 12 years now and she has a very large team. If you would like to learn more about what she does, simply reply to this email, or give me a call, and I will put you in touch with her.
# 9 Weekly Challenge
My challenge for the week this week is to find two new retail customers. Make it a point to reach out to 10 people this week and find two people who will try out your product. Connect with people you know and with strangers and educate them about how your products can help them solve their problems. Encourage your team members to do the same thing.
# 10 Clean But Funny Joke
Q: What is the tallest building in the world?
A: The library. It has the most stories.
I hope you have a great week. Thanks for reading this week’s edition of Chuck’s MLM Weekly Wisdom. If you have questions or need help with anything feel free to give me a call or send me an email. Have a great day! Thanks.
