Chuck’s MLM Weekly Wisdom # 39 – June 3, 2015

Dear Network Marketer:

I hope you are happy, healthy and well.  Welcome to this week’s edition of Chuck’s MLM Weekly Wisdom.  Enjoy the training.

# 1 Tip of the Week

This week’s tip of the week is to have a way to make money even when people tell you NO to becoming a customer or distributor.  I learned this valuable lesson from Robert Blackman, one of my trusted mentors.  The truth is more people will tell you NO than tell you YES.  And if you don’t have a way to make money from the NO’s, you are leaving a lot of money on the table.

That’s why you need multiple streams of income.  You need to have systems, tools, leads, and training products that you can offer your prospects, if they tell you NO to becoming a customer or distributor.  This gives you added income and allows you to work smart.  This advice is even more relevant if you are building your business online like I do.

Only a real small percentage of the people who visit my website or contact me actually join my MLM program.  However, since I have multiple things to offer, it increase my earnings potential.

# 4 Suggested Videos

Here are a few YouTube videos I recently watched and thought you might enjoy.

# 5 Book of the Week

This week’s book of the week is “The E-Myth Revisited” by Michael Gerber.  I absolutely love this book.  What I love most about the book is that he talks about why businesses fail and what to do about it.  He talks about the importance of systems.  He talks about the difference between working in your business and working on your business.  He talks about the difference between the strategic and tactical work.  I read this book for the first time many years ago and it has had more impact on my business than any other book.  If you haven’t read it before, order a copy here on Amazon.

# 6 Quote of the Week

The quote of the week this week is “most entrepreneurs are merely technicians with an entrepreneurial seizure.  Most entrepreneurs fail because you are working in your business rather than on your business.” Michael Gerber

My Take: Don’t confuse the busy work with the productive work.  Anyone can be busy, but successful people are productive.  In this great industry, there are only a few tasks that will actually grow your business.  This includes retailing and recruiting.  Everything else should be done after those tasks.  Spend 90% or more of your working hours on retailing and recruiting and you will be successful.

# 7 Product of the Week

This week’s training product is Supercharged Online Sponsoring by Ricardo Ferrari.  This is a great course to teach you about attraction marketing, generating leads, building your business online and more.  Learn more about the course.

# 8 Suggested Blog Posts

Here are some trending posts on my blog that I thought you might enjoy.

# 9 In the Spotlight

This week’s featured distributor is Robert Blackman.  I’ve studied Robert for many years.  He’s the guy who taught me about having multiple streams of income.  He taught me the value of selling leads, tools, and systems, in addition to your MLM Company.  He also taught me about postcard marketing and direct mail.  You check out his website or watch this great YouTube video.  Connect with Robert on Facebook.

# 10 Weekly Challenge

My challenge for you this week is to call up 10 people on your chicken list.  Make a list of the 10 most successful, most prosperous people you know and reach out to them about the products or business. Invite them to a presentation, conference call, three way call or webinar.  Even if just one of them joins your team, it will be worth it.

Final Thoughts

I hope you have a great week.  Thanks for reading this week’s edition of Chuck’s MLM Weekly Wisdom.  If you have questions or need help with anything feel free to give me a call or send me an email.  Thanks.

Multiple streams of income is the way to go. Nothing is one hundred percent secure, so you can no longer put all your eggs in one basket and expect to be okay for the rest of your working days. I have 3 streams of income now, two of which I can say work for me even when I am not working. Not only do we have more financial freedom and less stress, but we also have something to fall back on in the instance that one of these streams ceases to exist.

Chuck, I just have to say that today’s post is absolutely fantastic!

The part about having more than one or two items to offer makes so much sense. When you tie yourself down with just 1 item, a person misses many sales. I also like to open doors to other items. Besides selling my books and freelancing services, I also have affiliated with other companies and sell their products or services. When a person visits my website, maybe they are not interested in having writing done or buying a book, but maybe they will see a smartphone ad that will be of interest. It just makes good sense to have several streams.

I also love the part about working on your business instead of in your business. Thanks for the tips and you have a good week sir.

    Hey Chuck,

Well this is a cool series you’re doing, weekly wisdom. I like that and love the different things that you shared here.

As you know, I’m not in network marketing but I have been in the past. It’s not for everyone and I’m one of those that it’s not for. LOL!!! You do get a lot of no’s but you have to be prepared for those and what you might be able to help them with in other areas. Sounds like you have everything in place for that too.

I love how you shared more posts, videos and someone you are highlighting with your readers. Giving them plenty more great information to dive into. Nice!

Great share and wanted to stop by and check out your blog. I wish you all the best moving forward and hope you have a great ending to this wonderful week.

Thanks Adrienne. Like you, I believe in being an ambassador, providing value and helping others. I have used those principles to build a successful business, just like you have in your business! At the end of the day we are all different and have to find a business model that matches our natural talents and abilities. I say, keep up the great work. I love your blog.
