In this article, I will be listing the Top 50 best MLM Companies of all time, as I see it.
Where the companies are listed and where they are ranked is entirely my opinion, and I don’t expect you to agree with my ranking 100%. That’s okay. It’s always subjective when you put together a list like this.
Also, all names are registered trademarks owned by the respective companies mentioned. I am not affiliated with any of these companies.
When making this list, here are some of the things I took into account:
- Annual Revenue
- Compensation Plan
- Total Years in Business
- Company Reputation
- Size of Product Line
- Trending Growth
- Is It Still a Good Opportunity if You Joined Today?
With some of these things, I had to give it my best guess. When possible, I have researched each category. Obviously, I cannot guarantee that you will make money if you choose to join any of these opportunities. Individual results will vary.

# 10: Avon
Very few people think of AVON as a multi-level marketing company. Its primary focus is direct sales. Their MLM Compensation plan isn’t very good, but their direct sales payout is great. They’ve been in business for more than 100-years now and they are best known for their beauty products. The company has struggled in recent years, but is still going strong. Yes, they are the second largest MLM Company in terms of revenue, but I couldn’t rank them any higher on this list due to other factors.
# 9: Vorwerk
Vorwerk is a German based Direct Sales company that has been in operation for many years. They offer an extensive line of products, and Vorwerk owns the U.S. based Jafra Cosmetics. # 7: Young Living Essential Oils
Donald and Mary Young recognized how much people they knew relied upon various essential oils for therapy. Seeing an opportunity to help others and to create a profitable business, the Young’s started Young Living Essential Oils in 1993. The company has had longtime success even though several Young Living people verged off to start a competing essential oil company.

Founded in 1967, this Swedish born cosmetics company is a force to be reckoned with. Boasting annual sales of close to $2 billion and a sales force in the millions, Oriflame’s independent sales reps have at their disposal a wide range of products. The last 40 years have seen the company add body care, accessories, wellness products and a men’s line. Though Oriflame isn’t currently sold in the US, their products can still be ordered internationally. We wonder if Oriflame will enter the U.S. market in the near future.
# 5: Natura Cosmetics
This is almost the # 1 MLM Company in the world, in terms of revenue, right behind Amway. They did more than $10 billion in revenue in 2018. They were founded in Brazil in 1969 and do business in approximately 73 countries. They are best known for their skin care products.
# 4: Melaleuca
I was hesitant to include Melaleuca on this list because they claim that they are not network marketing. With that being said, they are one of the most customer focused companies in our industry. I respect that. Great products at grocery store prices. More companies in our industry should follow their lead. In business since 1985, they have grown every year and do more than $2 billion in annual sales. While I am in no way affiliated with Melaleuca, I could easily see them becoming the largest MLM Company in the world (in terms of revenue) in the years to come.
# 3: Forever Living Products
What list would be complete without Forever Living Products? With their aloe-vera based products, and strong international presence, FLP does more than $2.5 billion annually. Their compensation plan is aggressive. Their products are great. And they are positioned for long-term growth in our industry.
# 2: Herbalife
Herbalife is the front runner when it comes to weight loss products. The company was founded in 1980 and has enjoyed continued and growing success in recent years. With a huge Spanish speaking following and increasing Spanish speaking population, Herbalife has created a wealth of opportunity for those looking for financial freedom. With annual sales of over $4 billion, Herbalife’s growth doesn’t seem to be slowing any time soon. Losing weight couldn’t be easier.
# 1: Amway
Amway is the big dog in our industry in terms of revenue. It has been around since 1959 and has paved the way for the entire industry. Their 1979 Amway vs FTC case was a game changer. They offer more than 450 products to choose from, including their popular lines: Nutrilite and Artistry.
Chuck’s Favorite MLM Company
I work with a great company myself. I intentionally left them off of this list. They offer natural and organic products, to include CBD, coffee, skin care, pet products, and much more. They have a killer compensation plan, a free online marketing system, and do business in almost every single country. You can learn more about them right here.
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, this is my list of the Top 50 best MLM Companies of all time. Whatever you call it, one thing is clear: Network Marketing is BIG BUSINESS! Many of the companies listed above have annual revenues in the billions.
Whether or not you support this business model, the numbers don’t lie. Network marketing isn’t for everyone and that’s perfectly fine. MLM isn’t just for stay at home moms wanting to make some extra money anymore either. Many people join network marketing and make a career out of it.
The bottom line is that if you choose to pursue a network marketing opportunity, DO YOUR RESEARCH to make sure you find a good company with products you are passionate about.

Where is Aim Global?? That is my best Mlm of all time!! Its should have been on top 10, my opinion!
Great company. I will add them to the list next time I do an update.
You had not included in this one because it began recently I hope so, 2006, and its booming!!!!
sir have you heard of first vita plus marketing company…
Wasn’t herbalife recently outed as a pyramid scheme.
Nope, they won the case.
How is Herbalife according to you. I am into Herbalife since a year. Getting tough reviews from the Unicity reps. What is the best once according to you??
I think any company can be good if you love their products and believe in the vision of the company. Reps from one company bashing another company is just poor business practices. It makes everyone look bad.
How is herbalife? Is Unicity better than Herbalife?
I think both companies are good. Pick the one that makes the most sense to you.
I am into herbalife since an year. But getting tough reviews from unicity reps regarding the business plans. What can be done now. Please advise
Why would you listen to what a rep in a different company has to say? Most reps are always going to tell you their company is better than yours. Ignore the haters and press on!
What if the other company rep was ur sideline in ur company in the past and comparing the both. Anyways thanks for your kind advise.
People change companies all the time. Always do your own research and trust your own instincts. Of course if they join a new company they are going to say the new company is better than the old one.
Where should we expect a success?
In a company which is running successfully since 18years in a India like herbalife and amway
Or a company who is since 5-7 and still establishing its business in a country??
The company itself is not the answer. Your results are what matters.
Well I think it is an effort to be commended though people disagree on points. I am a potential distributor of a company which I cannot mention here but I suspect that their compensation model for distributors leaves much to be desired.
Please indicate the level of compensation system that one may conclude that it is fair considering all factors associated with MLM companies.
Where is QNET?
I don’t think this list completes without QNET.
Great company. I didn’t make this list. It is a guest post by someone else.
I agree with Amway being the top dog in the MLM world but I think Avon should be second. I just think that Avon is more known than Herbalife is, not to mention the difference in sales. I was also expecting to see Advocare and Oriflame on a much better spot. These are two well known brands that have a lot of followers and distributors, but you said this is your opinion so it doesn’t have to match mine :).
Yes, Avon is a great company as well. This list is a guest post written by someone else, and is not my exact opinion either.
It can be quite difficult putting any rating together such as this. Personally, I believe Mary Kay should be right near the top. There are also some other ones such as Pampered Chef and as you said Advocare that I believe should be higher on the list…but how exactly the rating is achieved can be in various forms. While one MLM may be huge in one State or country, they may be lower in other locations.
It would be neat to do a rating by State or country to see. I do know there are a few posts for top MLMs in countries on this site.
Dear Mr Chuck,
I like join a network marketing company, but I don’t know which to join. Can you please help me to make a choice?
Find an established company with a great reputation with products you can get passionate about.
USANA is the best of all 🙂
Glad you are passionate about your company.
forever living is best mlm company having best products and best marketing plan
How were the logistics formulated to reach this conclusion? AmWay is huge in Asia, moderate influence at best in other countries. The customer care piece is awful, this is well known, arguing it is moot; especially in China. Ive been involved in 5 companies: JuicePlus is hands down the most satisfying. The product (32 gold standard studies), the company has a solid reputation, and the benefit my customers get is better health. Surprised this was missed..
This was a guest post on my blog by someone else. Obviously, everyone thinks their own company is number one or should be on the list. If it makes you feel better, my company didn’t make the list either. After all, what factors determine whether or not a company is the top company?
Hi Chuckholmes,
Thanks for your studies and researches on MLM companyies. God bless you and your family. I firmly believe that Amway business is the best in the world. God has to choose someone to do Amway business.
The best network marketing company is me. All of these companies are very successful. It amazes me how unaware I am of the magnitude and enormity of the network marketing industry. I probably joined a dozen of these companies over the years, but I was not able to become successful despite their success. It is not the company that matters as much as it is the person involved. That said, this is a great list for consideration when contemplating which company to go with. Your effort is not unappreciated or unacknowledged. GREAT WORK CHUCK!!!
Ultimately, you want to join a company with products or services you are passionate about. And it definitely helps to join an established, reputable company. All that being said, each person is the variant. You can succeed or fail in any company. Ultimately, it’s your skills, work ethic, mindset, and drive that will lead you to success, or failure.
Im from Philippine im a member of boss international its great mlm company
i need to change my life
Hello, Thank you very much for the information you provided. I am definitely interested in the health and wellness industry…. I am interested in building financial freedom and was wondering if I could achieve that with herbalife? I would like to clear $5000 profit if possible…. Any comments or suggestions would be great!
Thanks.
Herbalife is a great company. I would sit down with your upline and map out what you need to do to make $5k per month with the company.
I am join with flp this is a right decision?????
Great company.
I don’t sell Herbalife, and I’m not sure if this is a widely known marketing plan, but there are 2 families that have opened fitness clubs. They sell Herbalife in the fitness clubs, and they offer free classes. After people take the classes, a lot of them pay the $7 for a shake, tea, and a shot of aloe vera. They also work with people to get them ready for bikini competitions. I have bought some shakes and shake mixes from them, but I have never taken the classes. I do follow the sisters on Facebook, and they are always posting the before and after pictures. It seems pretty popular.
What a great article. I have heard of only about half of them, so it was exciting to read about those that I was unfamiliar. Some I was surprised still existed as I never hear about them anymore. I noticed in one of the comments, the writer expects that at some point, the prices of products in MLM’s will decrease. Most products do seem to be pretty pricey. I know the prices are what keeps the commissions in the consultant’s pockets, but selling more product more ofter would be a welcomed change to many, I’m sure.
Thanks for the comment.
There are several companies on this list that I am just not familiar with. It would be nice if you or Ty would explain a bit more about the ones I speak of. Namely:
Global Information Network
YTB International
Market America and
USANA
I am just not aware of these. All the others I have heard of. Also, I was wondering if Shaklee is still in business? I just have not heard much out of them.
Very good post TY.
Usana and Market America are still going strong. I’m not sure about the other companies.
Shaklee is very much still in business. Just celebrated 56 years as a corporation. Dr. Shaklee invented the first multivitamin in the US in 1915. Amazing company and benefits, this article didn’t touch on half of what they do or have achieved in the last 30 years.
Shaklee is a great company. They are pioneers in our industry with a great reputation.
One company not on the list is Nerium International. Nerium was recognized for the second year in a row on Direct Selling News’ Global Top 100 List. Last year Nerium was honored as the youngest company to ever make the list. And this year, Nerium jumped from number 86 to number 54 on the list in just one year, continuing its impressive path to the top. In addition, because of Nerium’s impressive growth, they also earned a spot on The Success Partners $100 Million Growth Club. A lot of this success was built on one product in one country. They have since grown to 3 products in three countries and this year will be expanding even further.
Jeff Olsen left as one of the top earners along with 3 other’s from one of the MLM companies listed above to start Nerium International. Led by an executive team with more than 200 years of collective industry experience, Nerium is committed to developing and distributing skincare products that are rooted in real science, produce real results, and improve consumers’ lives.
In an effort to fulfill their vision of “Making People Better”, Nerium is devoted to the personal development of their Brand Partners, gives back to the next generation through their Success for Teens initiative, and has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, raising $1 million last year, making Nerium the largest corporate workplace giving donor. In addition, the company’s compensation plan includes a generous offer to provide Brand Partners with free products for their own personal use or to help them further build their business.
The products are based on a scientific accidental discovery and are backed by third party clinical trials. The blend of ingredients as well as the extraction process are patented and can’t be duplicated by any other company making the products unique and a perfect fit for a successful MLM company!
I feel that this MLM company is truly different than the rest. They laid the foundation of an exclusive product, an exceptional back office with integrated mobile technologies, very lucrative and obtainable compensation, a proven and simple relationship marketing system, and giving back programs before they even officially launched the business.
I would love your opinion too! Thank you for a great website. I have just stumbled across it and am excited to read your amazing books and CDs!
Thank you.
Nerium is a great company with great products. This is a guest post from another blogger. I think it’s a great company, but I wouldn’t include it on my own top 50 list simply because it hasn’t been around long enough (not yet anyway). The sales are good, the leadership team is great, and I’m sure in another few years it will be a major player in the industry, if it maintains its current growth.
AMSOIL 100% Synthetic lubricants,”THE FIRST IN SYNTHETICS, now in their 41st year, started by a USA fighter pilot, brings you hundreds of line items, specific to lubrication for individuals, commercial,(on and off road, Retail Stores, and industrial markets. Privately held with over a billlion in sales in 40 countries. Expect the following: Once a year or 25,000 mile oil changes, (can you say green). Field proven 90% or less engine wear, 50% less automatic transmission wear and 57% less differential wear. With documentation proving these statements going back to the beginning. Just the production facility is 10 ACRES under one roof. About 70,000+ part-timers and approximately 3,000 full timers. Full on markets presence in many markets. They sponsor hundreds of racing events, from which the leads developed are dispursed to the dealers in the field.
Oh by the way, it does IMPROVES MILEAGE, because it is slippery and out performs all other lubricants in the market. Plus for me it is fun!!!
Great company, Tom!
Great post. But was a little bit shocked Trevo was not included in the list. Admittedly, it is a new comer but it is a great neutraceutical with 174 ingredients gathered from across the globe, it is certainly in a class of its own. Its health and wellness benefits are outstanding. Go take a look at Trevo
Trevo is a good company. This was a guest post. I’m not sure how long Trevo has been around so I wouldn’t put it on my own top 50 list. That doesn’t mean it’s not a great company though. As long as you are passionate about the products and the company that’s all that matters. The best MLM company in the world is the one that each one of us represents.
Ty did a great job making this list.
I believe that as time goes on, we are going to find MLMs taking over the business world. The advertising costs involved in network marketing are minimal in comparison to traditional business. The advertising is all on the distributors, and in many cases it is free or nearly free.
I believe network marketing has also caused an influx of competition. In time, we will see the MLM companies bringing their pricing down to be able to compete. This is the ultimate drawback of many MLMs…the pricing.
The one thing I am wondering is when will we have fast food MLMs-LOL
I could definitely see a fast food MLM in the future!
What about QNET
QNET is a great company. This post was a guest post on my blog. I probably would have included QNET.
I haven’t seen anything about QNET. CAN U PLS SEND ABOUT IT????
I agree, Ty did a great job on this list. I love all the comments saying theirs should be included but not everyone can make the cut.
I like your idea of MLM taking over the business world. I would much rather do business with my friend than a big corporation.
Interesting thought about the fast food MLM too :-).
Multilevel marketing has changed the marketing concept in the market. This has provided many individuals with an opportunity to collectively make a living. While many joined MLM in an effort to make some extra money while they were committed elsewhere, its development has led to individuals joining even as a full time job. It is important to make the right choice when joining this target market no matter the service or product it aims to market.
Whereas there are a number of companies in this business, they have all worked to position themselves in the market. Among the top positions is Forever Living Products Company. There is reason why this company is among the top companies in the MLM market and both its marketers and consumers are pleased with the products in the market.
This brand has helped individuals make a living in two major ways just as with every other multilevel company. This is through the sales of the products and through the sales of the products from individual down lines. The concept that lies here is that teamwork is key.
As an added advantage, this company is using the aspect of diversification to cater to a larger target market. In this, forever living offers a variety of products ranging from beauty products, household products, to supplement products and much more. In this, if you are looking to get healthier, look and feel better, or simply adopt a green way of completing household tasks, then forever leaving is the company to rely on.
Unbelievably, it boasts of $2.5 million in annual revenue. It comes with a well distributed network across the globe. The ability to meet a larger target market objective is fulfilling enabling all its marketers market their products across a great number of countries.
Their products use less chemicals and more natural ingredients. They are known for the use of aloe and bee pollen to produce their products. These products have been known to have both medicinal properties as well as nutritional benefits. The products from Forever Living Company are applicable in your every-day life for every individual. This is one of the reasons why the products have a ready market. It is simply an easier and healthier way of doing practically every task at home. With soaps (cleaning and bathing), and toothpaste as part of their collection, you could say that marketing and selling their products is applicable.
Another aspect that is holding this company in the top position is that they uphold quality. Everyone is willing to pay for quality products and services. This has not been compromised despite the company’s existence over very many years. In addition, the aspect of affordability comes quite handy. Forever Living products are price friendly and this is helping push the products despite the different and wide target market.
Multilevel marketing is gaining popularity and there is no doubt that more money is being realized in the business. No doubt, that Forever Living is one of the best MLM companies globally.
Good comment, Susan. FLP is a great company.
This is a great article on the Top MLM Companies! My favorite on the list has to be #41 Vemma. It seems as if it is growing rapidly, but doing it the correct way. Their products are great nutritional supplements and taste amazing! I know many people who work for Vemma as independent sales consultants. They are never pushy or annoying as some distributors from other companies can be. They are doing great things for young people and helping them earn money by working for themselves.
Their product speaks for itself. The energy drinks and weight loss supplements have even been featured on the TV Show Extreme Weight Loss on ABC. Trainer Chris Powell is someone who I look up to and have much respect for in the personal training industry. His endorsement as well as the other celebrity endorsements makes me feel safe in purchasing Vemma products. I recently went through a weight loss experience myself, and Vemma products helped me gain energy for workouts and helped me feel full longer in between meals. I love Vemma as a brand as a company. In my opinion, it is one of the best MLM Companies out there.
Tony, I have to agree with you that Vemma is a great up and coming company. Their CEO has tons of experience in the industry. The products are great. Only time will tell as to how they do over a period of years. They are definitely in their momentum phase right now. We’ll see how long that holds out.
There are a lot of great MLM Companies that are impressive in what they are contributing to the world of marketing. Looking through your list, Jessica Herrin’s business Stella and Dot really caught my eye the most. This business stands for empowering women and as a woman, I appreciate people who stand up for what they believe in, especially when Stella and Dot want women to succeed in the world.
I’ve always been interested in jewelry and accessories that represent my personal style, and this company is into the business of selling jewelry and accessories at trunks shows. They’ve used the term ‘social shopping’ to get people interested in their products, even The Wall Street Journal took an interest. Now that is impressive. Herrin was even recognized for her business in Inc.’s list of the 500 fastest growing businesses. Jessica Herrin is succeeding as a woman in the business world, and that’s why Stella and Dot is my favorite company.
Great post, Monique. I think Stella & Dot is a great company myself.
Network marketing companies have come a long way over the years. The top 50 MLM and network marketing companies have annual revenues that total in the billions.
We are way beyond proving whether this is a sustainable business model that people can make money with. Today people all over the world start their own MLM businesses, and the #1 company they choose to do that with is Amway.
Why?
1. Products. Amway is an industry leader in health supplements with their Nutrilite brand. They also have over 450 high quality products including cosmetics, energy drinks, and basic commodity items as well. These are used and re-ordered which is one of the reasons Amway did $11.8 Billion in sales in 2013.
2. Worldwide distribution. Amway has factories all around the world which makes it easy for them to supply products in a large number of countries. This has helped them establish regional distribution centers in strategically chosen areas to keep their shipping costs down.
3. Training. Nobody provides better training to their independent distributors then Amway does. They have long been know for holding rallies and seminars that serve to both motivate and give their members the nuts and bolts of building a successful business.
4. Self employed. Amway is a leader in direct sales, but the really successful people are those who view themselves as self employed business owners.
These are the people who go on to build a real business using the network marketing business model. They make money combining retail sales with building a downline of distributors.
Rich Devos and Jay Van Andel were innovators in establishing a network marketing compensation plan that rewards distributors for moving product through their organization on a monthly basis. This is done through duplication and leveraging your time.
These are several reasons Amway is the #1 network marketing company in the world. Surprised? You shouldn’t be, as they continue to be industry leaders in the MLM business arena!
Yes, Amway is definitely the big top and they have been around many, many years. I’m sure they will continue to grow in the future.
When discussing the top MLM companies Avon is always in the conversation for me. Founded in 1886, Avon Products, Inc. is one of the longer serving MLM companies, and my personal choice as the best MLM company. Now, I am aware they are not the highest grossing MLM company by a long shot, and their current trend seems to be on a slight decline, but this is about my personal overall choice. With that in mind it’s Avon, let’s take a brief look at why.
History and expansion
The company was born when a door-to-door book salesman in New York was struggling to make a living back in 1886. His name was David McConnell, and he decided to give selling perfumes a try. That small decision was to change the face of door-to-door sales, not just for him, but countless others to date.
Today Avon reps are actively selling products in more than 140 countries, the global expansion has been nothing short of incredible. It might come as a surprise to some that USA is not actually Avon’s largest market, that honor goes to Brazil.
Business model
I find the Avon business model fascinating. With an emphasis on the female consumer base it’s interesting to see how fast the company grew. Although I am sure you’ll agree that women are a great purchasing customer base, using that niche never slowed the growth.
There are training centers that help people to become door-to-door Avon sales reps, giving advice on selling techniques and examples of products to look at. Each salesperson becomes responsible for their own business as a sales rep, taking care of their customers and developing a reputation. Although there is a global code of ethics for all salespeople to work to.
Opportunities
I like the way Avon (as well as other MLM’s) offer opportunities for almost anyone to empower themselves with the tools to start a business and sell some products. This is why I rate them as the best MLM company when looking over the list of top runners.
With some enthusiasm and a passion for selling, and helping others, someone can start earning money almost right away. With the earning potential having almost no limit. Obviously selling Avon is not get rich quick scheme, or a way to make easy money. But there have been many publicized success stories of women making a great living from selling Avon products.
What makes Avon the best MLM company for me?
It comes down to a lot of factors. I like how Avon has always been directed more to women and women’s products. There is something liberating about empowering women to sell door-to-door for such a long time. They have always had a good product quality control process too, their brand and reputation is strong.
I certainly hope to see Avon get stronger over the coming years, the MLM market is always changing and the best companies show their authority by making it through the changes. Having been around this long, I expect Avon to be around for many more years to come.
Laura,
I spent some time in Avon myself. It definitely is a great company. Thanks for the comment.
Chuck
If you wish to make more money than you ever thought possible, then Neways International is the best company for you. Distributors have the chance to sell quality hair and skin care products to their customers knowing they will be well rewarded when they do. People from around the world have the chance to sell environmentally friendly products knowing they will help them to look and feel healthier throughout their life.
Every product has been scientifically tested to ensure they do contain petroleum and other toxic chemicals as traditional shampoos do. While it is important to purchase products from top mlm companies, Neways International is by far the best enterprise in the world. People recognize the need to join a good company, that is stable and will be around for a long time.
The pay structure is generous as it encourages distributors to build their business knowing their income will roll over from one month to the next. Neways International distributors receive bonuses when their friends, family, colleagues and professional acquaintances join the team in the belief they will achieve financial freedom in the long-term. Individuals and couples have the choice to grow their business as quickly or slowly as they wish. Unlike other MLM companies, Neways International provides people with the chance to make a real income they can rely on when they are unable to work or they retire.
While you can choose any of the top MLM companies to make a steady income, Neways International has the safest, most environmentally friendly products you could ever hope to sell. It is always wise to distribute quality products from the best MLM companies in the United States and Neways International is certainly the most supportive, generous, caring business in the world.
In conclusion distributors have the chance to make a genuine income while determining how quickly they wish their business to grow.
Yes, Louis, I agree that Neways is a great company! Thanks for the comment.
When looking at the top MLM companies of all time I’ll bet you did not think of Tupperware! That is understood because if you have ever bought Tupperware in the past you probably did it at a home party where the host made money on your purchase. Tupperware is approaching 70 years in business having started in 1946. They have been around long enough to withstand many changes in how products are sold in the marketplace and they have not only survived, they have thrived.
Tupperware does close to $2 Billion Dollars in business. There are a couple of main reasons for this.
1. The Internet. Buying products online such as Tupperware is easier today then it used to be. You do not have to go to a party, place your order, and then wait for the host to come over to your house and deliver it to you.
2. MLM. You can buy Tupperware from an authorized distributor. This is another reason it is one of the best MLM companies.
As an MLM business Tupperware is in a unique niche. They are not competing with all of the vitamin and soap companies out there.
People start their own MLM Tupperware business and operate it independently from other Tupperware and network marketing opportunities.
There is less competition selling Tupperware. Starting a network marketing business with them gives you the chance to help other people make money with their own niche business.
This certainly ranks Tupperware in the top of all MLM businesses ever, and maybe it is even the best of all time!
I agree with you Lance. Tupperware would be near the top of my list.
My parents and uncle were full time in Amway 30 years ago. Today I see many great MLM companies including Tupperware which surprised me. I knew they were a direct sales company, but did not know they were and MLM business.
Les,
Tupperware is a powerhouse. As far as Amway is concerned, is your family still involved? Thanks for the comment.
Chuck
I like that Melaleuca got #13 and not #50 or lower. I don’t classify Mela as an MLM. Consumer Direct Marketing, but not an MLM. I know, I know, 7-UP is the uncola and you still have to compare it to the other colas out there, but….just sayin’. Apples and oranges maybe? Love the post though. Keep up the great articles.
I didn’t write the list myself. It was a guest post. I would have put them in the top 10 myself. Great company with great products.
No 4life? Come on you must be joking? Unless you work that program and had to leave them out to eliminate bias?
I’m not even a distributor with them but i use their products which are amazingly good and they seem like a very stable and good company?
I would have thought an absolute lay down for top 10?
This was a guest post on my blog. I did not write the article. 4Life is a great company. I’ve got nothing bad to say about it. Your passion for the company speaks for itself! That is a true testament. Thanks for the comment.
I agree with the decision to place Avon so near the top of this list. I grew up hearing about Avon. There was always an “Avon Lady” in everyone’s neighborhood when I was growing up. The company is everywhere. I have joined Avon very recently, and have found that the support I need to succeed is there without my even asking for it. My sponsor lives in a different state, but I am already on local Avon network lists, and leaders that I have never even met are reaching out to me with helpful tips and information, and meeting invitations. I have never felt so welcomed by any other company I have worked for in my life.
I’m glad you are having a good experience with the company, Faye.
The company 4 life
4Life is a great company as well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
This was a great article. I was a little disappointed I did not see Melaleuca in your list. I have been a customer with them for 9 years and I use their products daily. I love the products and what the company stands for.
You must have moved a bit too fast through the list. Melaleuca is #13. We ran into a bit of a problem with Melaleuca. My wife’s cousin, who has a little problems mentally was put on a monthly ordering in which they would send him products he wasn’t using. He had boxes and boxes of the stuff and his bank account was getting zapped. It took a lot of pressure from me to get the company to realize they were taking advantage of a partially retarded person. I don’t put the blame on the company, but on the rep. I still think they do have good products.
I’m sorry to hear you had trouble with Melaleuca.
If I had made the list, I would have put Melaleuca in the top 20 Dee! They are a great company.
Thanks Chuck! Believe it or not Excel Communications did make the list at first! I debated because it is now defunct, but I think it was a great one. When it comes to MLM, there really is ‘something for everyone’. The 50 companies listed are just the tip of the iceberg. The companies that were left off are proof of that. Most people think of the ones they know, they have no idea that MLM is more than about Tupperware and make-up, but communications, technology, utilities, products designed to improve you health and lifestyle.
Yes, Excel was a great company while they were around. Very few companies make it for the long haul.
This is really a great post, Ty. I can tell you put a lot of effort into writing this.
The only companies that I do not see on this list, that I think should be on the list, are: Thirty-One, 4Life, NSA Juice Plus, Nature’s Sunshine and Excel Communications.
Excel is no longer around, but it was a mighty giant for many years. The other three companies all do close to a billion dollars a year or more.
In either case, great job.
Wanted asking, the company GNLD/Neo-Life, how reputable is it? Would really appreciate your feedback Chuck if one should join them as a distributor.
Regards.
I don’t really know a lot about them to be honest with you.
