Are you persistent and consistent in your MLM Business? Honestly? Do you do the things you know you should be doing day in and day out, even when you don’t feel like it?
If you’re like 97% of the people in the industry the answer is NO.
If you’re like most people in our great industry your network marketing business is not really a priority. If you’re like most people you make excuses to justify your inaction and poor performance.
Sure, you “like the idea of time and money freedom” but you don’t really want it bad enough that you will do whatever it takes for as long as it takes.
If you’re like most network marketers you make excuses as to why you don’t have the time to build a business.
The truth is everyone has time and money for things that are really important to them.
If something isn’t important to you, you will make an excuse. If something is important to you, it will be a priority and you will FIND or MAKE time for it.
I can promise you that 100% of the people who fail in MLM are not persistent and consistent with their business for any period of time (at least a few years). And I can also tell you that 100% of the people who succeed ARE persistent and consistent.
I can’t guarantee you will succeed by being persistent and consistent in your network marketing business, but I can guarantee that you will fail if you aren’t!
Most people who get involved in this great industry do no treat their business seriously. They do not treat it like they have a million dollars invested in it. Heck, they don’t even treat their business as serious as they do their job.
They tinker with it. They dabble with it. They have one foot in.
Why do I say these things?
Because I used to be one of these people!
Most distributors don’t set business hours for their MLM Business. They don’t block aside one to two hours each day to build their business. They don’t do something EVERY SINGLE DAY to build their business.
Simply put, they let life get in the way and they don’t make their business a top priority.
And then they wonder why they aren’t making money!
If they did the same thing with their day job they would get fired. Yet, they expect to get good results in their network marketing business, even though they aren’t putting in the effort.
Crazy, huh?
They might do something to build their business today and then take the next five days off before they do something else. Or, they might try their business for a month or two and then give up. Or, they might THINK about their business all the time, but never actually do the work.
Success in ANY type of business does not happen by accident. You can’t wish your way to success or think your way to success.
You have to roll up your sleeves and work hard and you have to work your business every single day, for a period of a few years, if you want to succeed.
- You can’t “tinker” with a business and hope you will make it
- You can’t wish your way to success
- You can’t “think” your way to success
- You can’t do something today and then do nothing for the next week
- You can’t put in minimal effort and expect maximum results
You have to have the discipline to come up with a game-plan, take daily action and keep moving forward for a few years.
I can’t name one legitimate business model that is fast, free or easy and doesn’t require massive action and lots of hard work. Heck, even unethical businesses have to work hard and be persistent and consistent to make money.
So, if you aren’t getting the results you desire in your network marketing business, the first place you should look is in the mirror. Look at the person looking back at you.
That is the problem. Fortunately, it’s also the solution.
You need to evaluate how you are spending your time, what you are doing to grow your business every day, and how consistent you are being.
You need to be honest with yourself. That is the starting point.
Until you do that, nothing else really matters.
If you truly want to build a successful network marketing business, you have to accept 100% responsibility for your own success. Remember, there is no successful victim.
You have to create business hours for your MLM Business every single day and you have to have enough discipline to focus on income producing activities during your business hours.
You have to make a commitment and follow through UNTIL successful.
Until you do that, you will continue to struggle! Until you do that, you will be a victim.

yah i agree with you
I am in full agreement with being consistent and persistent in your MLM business. If a normal business owner did not open their store each day at the same time, they would lose business…consistency. If they did not persistently advertise, they would lose business. MLM is a business and treating it as a normal business is the key to success. If a person wants success in their MLM, they will follow what you wrote here.
Less than 5% of the people in this industry treat it like a real business.
I had to add too Chuck, it is good that you put both of these words together. Doing one without the other is like beating a dead fish. I know many persistent people that are not consistent, and many other think of them as a pain in the tail. On the other hand, you can be consistent, but without persistence, no one will take you serious. As I often say, “There is a fine line that we must walk.”
Nothing in life is easy. I can’t think of anything that doesn’t require being persistent and consistent (staying healthy, a good marriage, successful business, etc.).
