If you’re like most people in our great industry you want what it offers.
I mean, who doesn’t want financial independence and time freedom?
Isn’t that why you joined our industry in the first place?
That’s what first got me excited about the industry.
That’s what keeps me excited.
Everyone wants it, or thinks they do, but very people are willing to pay the price and do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to get there.
Sure, a six figure residual income sounds great.
Sure, financial and time freedom sound amazing.
Working from home in your pajamas and sleeping in until 11 am sound great.
But once people find out that they have to work their business consistently for 10-20 hours per week, for three to seven years to earn this freedom, most people in our industry are simply not willing to do that.
That’s a great question.
And I wish I knew the answer.
People are funny.
People will work at a job where they hate what they do, are treated like crap, unappreciated and underpaid, yet they stay loyal and work with the company as long as possible.
Yet, when you show these people a business where they could literally change their financial situation for the better in three to seven years; they won’t even look at it.
Even worse, if they do join, they will not put in the work it takes to become successful.
They tell you they are too busy.
They don’t have the time.
What these people don’t realize is that EVERYONE is busy.
The problem with being busy and broke is if you don’t have a game plan to change that, you will be busy and broke forever!

Being busy is nothing more than an excuse for inaction.
The truth is EVERYONE has time for things that are important to them.
These same folks who tell you they are busy magically have time for Monday Night Football!
I personally believe that financial freedom and time freedom worth fighting for.
Not everyone will feel the same way, but that’s how I feel.
No, there is no guarantee of success.
Yes, most people fail in our industry.
But yes, financial freedom is possible.
Time freedom is also possible.
Plenty of people HAVE accomplished these things.
Not everyone will.
Most people will not.
Heck, most people never even get started in their business.
Most people quit within 90 days or less.
Most people don’t even share their business opportunity with two or three new people a MONTH.
It absolutely amazes me.
Because their desires are nothing more than a fantasy.
A fantasy is simply something you think you want to do or have.
It would be nice to do, but you don’t necessarily have the drive or determination to make it happen.
On the other hand, a dream is when you take that fantasy and set a specific goal and create an action plan.
It’s when you say “I will do this no matter what.”
I might not know what I am doing right now, but I will figure it out and make it happen.
Only then is there even a chance it can become a reality.
So, here is my final piece of advice for you.
If you really, really, honestly want to succeed in our industry, you need to do a few things.
The first thing you need is a DECISION that you will make this happen, no matter what.
That is the starting point of all success.
Once you do that, the next thing you need to do is set some goals.
These goals must be specific, given a deadline and written on paper.
The next thing you must do is come up with a game plan.
Break down your goals into bite-sized chunks and figure out what you must do each day, week and month to accomplish them.
Your next step is to get to work.
Get off the old rusty dusty, make a work schedule each week and do the things you know you should be doing.
You will make mistakes.
You will fail, TEMPORARILY.
Simply learn from your mistakes and make adjustments as needed.
It would also help to have a mentor.
This will shorten your learning curve.
Finally, you must PERSIST until you succeed.
Nothing worth accomplishing is fast, free or easy.
Good things take time.
You must be the “rhino” and keep your head down and keep working until you get where you want to be.
It will probably take longer than you expect.
Few things ever go exactly as planned.
Stay the course, have faith, and work your butt off.
In a few years from now you will look back and realize it was all worth it.
On the other hand, if success in MLM is nothing more than a fantasy of yours, you have a few choices.
First off, don’t expect much from the industry.
If you aren’t willing to do the work, don’t expect anything in return.
It also might be in your best interest to simply be a product user and do something else with your life, so you aren’t disappointed or frustrated.
I say none of these things to be mean or critical.
You just need to know the truth.
Anything worth accomplishing on a grand scale requires a huge commitment.
