Top 17 Affiliate Marketing Niches

Top 17 Affiliate Marketing Niches

Today, I want to share what I believe are the top 17 affiliate marketing niches. About a week ago, I wrote a detailed post sharing my top 25 affiliate marketing tips. In that post, I shared what I believe were the top 13 niches you could focus on to build a thriving affiliate marketing business. I have since expanded that list.

In this article, I am going to go into more detail about each niche. I’ll cover why you should consider it and what types of affiliate products you could promote. Keep in mind, this article is just my opinion, based on 10+ years of successful affiliate marketing.

Top 17 Affiliate Marketing Niches

Top 17 Affiliate Marketing Niches

What you see below are the best of the best. These niches have a hungry audience of people who are WILLING and ABLE to spend money to help them solve a problem, which is just what you are looking for.

# 1: Weight Loss

I’m going to put weight loss as the number one affiliate marketing niche you could focus on. Why? Because tens of millions of people are looking to lose weight AND they are willing and able to spend money on ANYTHING that will help them do that. Obesity is a huge problem in America and the rest of the world.

While there is a TON of competition in this affiliate marketing niche, there is also a ton of opportunity. Even if you capture just a small piece of the pie, you can make a fortune.

You could promote home study courses, training products, seminars, weight loss products, coaching and hundreds of other things to the weight loss crowd.

The Weight Loss for Women niche is worth more than 60 billion dollars and we would be missing out if we didn’t expose this opportunity.

This is a niche that is waiting to be dominated and with all the research that’s done for you in this post, there is no reason to reject it.

# 2: SEO

SEO stands for search engine optimization.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the practice of increasing the quantity and quality of traffic to your website through organic search engine results.

Let’s keep it real for a minute. Anyone with a blog or website wants more traffic. More traffic leads to more sales and more money!

You could create a blog or YouTube channel about SEO and promote different affiliate products to your audience. What I like best about SEO is that is expensive. Many of the programs you can promote offer GENEROUS affiliate commissions. Even generating one or two sales per month could lead to a full-time income.

How to keywords, such as “how to do seo”, “how to rank higher on google” or “how to do seo on your own”, are a great way to get traffic to add visitors to your funnel.

The people who are searching for these keywords know almost nothing about SEO. This means that they are looking for step-by-step guidance to rank their websites higher on Google. As such, you can create a mini course.

This is a great way to get maximum value from each visitor to your site.

# 3: Website Design

Website design, website themes, custom plugins, and hosting are all BIG business. There are hundreds of millions of blogs and websites in existence, and many new ones popping up each day. This is a HUGE market that is willing to spend money.

You could sell a service and help people build websites. You could sell custom themes. You could create your own custom plugin. You could promote a hosting serving. You could do website reviews for people and give them ideas about how they can improve their website. The options are endless.

Establishing your reputation as an expert in one area of web design or development is easier than establishing yourself as an overall expert in design because there is just too much competition. Clients will have confidence in you if they know that you are a specialist rather than a generalist and that you are familiar with their unique concerns.

# 4: Make Money Online

The make money online niche is one of the biggest and best affiliate marketing niches you could focus on. Millions of people want to make money online, but don’t know how to do it. These folks are looking for coaches, courses and business opportunities.

You could leverage your expertise and offer these affiliate products to people in this niche. While it is a BIG and COMPETITIVE niche, there is plenty of opportunity to go around.

The reality is, in the offline world you can build a traditional brick-and-mortar business like a pizza shop, open it up, and people will just come in and spend money simply because the location exists – no marketing, advertising, or promotion needed.

In the online world, nothing could be farther from the truth. If you put up a new website without any marketing, advertising, or promotion nobody will ever find it.

# 5: Network Marketing

Love it or hate it, network marketing is a huge industry. This is my primary niche and biggest passion. This niche does over $100 BILLION a year in sales; actually much more than that. It’s bigger than the movie industry. You could join a network marketing company and build it like an affiliate marketing business. That is what I do.

You could also sell leads, training courses, and business tools. I like to focus on the picks and shovels business in network marketing, because every network marketer needs more leads and more training.

You do not need to be in any network marketing company to get into this niche.

If you have joined or even been approached by someone in this industry, you can very much build an affiliate marketing business around it.

And trust me, this is one niche that will be around for as long as you can imagine.

# 6: Work from Home

Similar to the make money online niche, the work from home niche is also HUGE. In today’s world, people are tired of having crazy bosses and long commutes. People want to retreat to the comfort of their own home and earn their living while working from home in their pajamas. I can’t say I blame them.

These people looking to work from home need guidance. They are willing to buy courses about how to do it. You could serve as a coach or consultant. You could promote different work from home opportunities. The options are endless.

More and more people are learning that it’s possible to make a living from your computer at home. But not all of them are interested in building an online business or becoming marketers.

Some of them are simply looking for a way to do a conventional job from the comfort of their own homes. In essence, they are looking for online jobs that are similar to offline jobs, things like an online office assistant, online writer or online engineer. Others are looking to make it as a freelancer and prefer the flexibility this gives them.

In both cases, there are plenty of things you can promote as an affiliate marketer and it’s definitely a niche that’s worth looking into.

# 7: Blogging

There are several hundred million blogs in existence, if not more. According to some online stats, there are more than 360 million blogs on TUMBLR alone. That is a huge number.

Bloggers are a great affiliate marketing niche because most of them are willing to spend money to learn new skills that will help them grow their blog. They are looking for ways to get more traffic, make more affiliate sales, generate more leads, and make more money!

You could promote auto-responders, custom themes, hosting services, custom plugins, and many other things to bloggers and make a great income doing so.

I like to promote Wealthy Affiliate, because it is a training platform for bloggers that will teach them everything they need to know to build a money making blog.

You can divide all blogs into two categories: lifestyle blogs and niche blogs. These categories represent two conscious decisions that bloggers can make: I’m going to write about everything, or I’m going to write about one thing.

Niche blogs are when you write about one thing, and one thing only. They are a blog with a one-track mind, having one purpose, one goal.

# 8: CBD

If you haven’t heard of CBD yet, get ready to.

CannabidiolCBD—is a cannabis compound that has significant medical benefits, but does not make people feel “stoned” and can actually counteract the psychoactivity of THC.

CBD is growing in popularity because people are tired of taking prescription drugs and they are looking for ways to get healthy naturally. Many people claim that CBD helps them with anxiety, sleep, pain, depression and inflammation. I expect this niche will surpass all other niches on this list in the next year or two, even the weight loss niche. You can join my CBD business here.

Another thing to keep in mind is that there are always going to be new growth areas in this market. Right now medical marijuana and CBD oils are an emerging trend in this field. Unlike most other niches where having a certain level of expertise isn’t required, it could be helpful to either be an expert or team up with an expert in this field.

# 9: FOREX

We should start out by defining FOREX. According to one online website:

Forex, also known as foreign exchange, FX or currency trading, is a decentralized global market where all the world’s currencies trade. The forex market is the largest, most liquid market in the world with an average daily trading volume exceeding $5 trillion.

FOREX is big business, even bigger than the world’s stock markets. You could sell books, courses, coaching, software programs and anything else that might help someone make money with FOREX. Check out these FOREX MLM Companies.

Many individuals are now diving into or dabbling in the foreign exchange market or FOREX. What once was primarily reserved for corporations, banks or the elite, is now available to individual investors, whether experienced or not.

This is something all people can do and is enticing due to the accessibility and the possibility of huge profits.

# 10: Gold & Silver

I love buying gold and silver. So do millions of other people. It’s one of my favorite affiliate marketing niches. You could make money in this niche by:

  • Selling gold and silver coins
  • Selling Training courses on how to buy and sell gold and silver coins and bullion
  • Selling Gold 401k accounts
  • Promoting seminars and courses

There are lots of great affiliate programs in this niche, many of them paying several thousand dollars or more per sale.

In a Money and Markets article, Martin Weiss P.H.D and author of The Dollar Meltdown, explains about the current economic instability and sums it up this way, “Unlimited money printing means only one thing: Unlimited gold prices!” This is why so many people want to invest in gold NOW, before it’s too late.

“Investing in Gold and Silver” is a super hot money niche. According to Google Keyword Tool, “gold and silver” related keywords command high exact-matched searches every month.

# 11: Day Trading

To be quite frank with you, I know NOTHING about day trading. I’ve never done it. That being said, millions of people do it. Most of these folks are looking for any type of “insider secret information” that will help them become successful.

You could promote software programs, courses and seminars. Just like gold and silver, many of these affiliate programs pay whopping commissions.

Individuals who attempt to day trade without an understanding of market fundamentals often lose money. Technical analysis and chart reading is a good skill for a day trader to have, but without a more in-depth understanding of the market you’re in and the assets that exist in that market, charts may be deceiving. Do your due diligence and understand the particular ins and outs of the products you trade

# 12: Health & Nutrition

Just like the weight loss industry, the health and nutrition industry is a great affiliate marketing niche. Why? Because people want to live longer and look and feel good on the inside and out: especially the Baby Boomers. People will fork over BIG BUCKS to improve their health and image.

You could promote things such as:

  • Courses on health and nutrition
  • Products
  • Seminars & Courses
  • Books

People these days more than ever are taking their health into their own hands. They don’t automatically trust what the government or their doctor tells them about their health or what they should do to be healthy. You’ve seen products in this niche everywhere: gluten-free, herbal remedies, supplements, detoxing… healing arts and products of all types. Anything that will promote a healthy lifestyle that helps avoid disease and makes you live longer.

The opportunities to profit here are endless: books, supplements, information products, physical products, coaching, etc.

# 13: Cryptocurrency

Bitcoin… ever heard of it before? People in the cryptocurrency niche are extremely passionate about it. They’re always looking for ways to make more money with cryptocurrency. They take courses, buy books, software programs and whatever else will give them the cutting edge.

There are so many cryptocurrency affiliate programs to choose from, and many of them pay big commissions. This is definitely a growing niche. Cryptocurrency gets more popular each year. It’s definitely an affiliate marketing niche worth exploring.

British digital money expert and director at consulting firm Hyperion, David Birch, states that cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin currently are – and will remain – a financial tool that caters for niche user categories.

# 14: Sex

Sex… Well, I shouldn’t have to elaborate on this one too much, but SEX is a big industry. It’s something MOST people want more of. People want it more often, they want to be satisfied, and they want excitement in the bedroom. Many people are willing to pay BIG BUCKS to learn the tricks of the trade.

You could promote affiliate products such as sex toys, sex seminars, books, training courses, and hundreds of other things, to make money online.

This is a growing niche both in terms of interest and number of affiliate products. Couples nowadays are increasingly becoming more willing to experiment and expand their repertoire. And they’re willing to pay for tips and advice from good sex experts.

# 15: Cell Phones

Everyone’s got one. Cell phones are a great niche. Amazon alone offers TONS of different cell phones you can recommend and earn a commission by doing so. You could write reviews of different cell phones. You could sell cell phone services. You could compare two different cell phones in a video. The options really are endless.

Phones rugged enough to survive falling from the sky or resistant to foaming hand soap – just some of the special features mobile phonemakers are offering to appeal to niche markets.

“The smartphone market is so enormous that even having a phone that is targeting a niche can still sell hundreds of thousands, if not millions of units over its life,” said Ian Fogg, head of mobile research firm IHS.

Data shows that 96 percent of Americans now own a cell phone of some form

# 16: Credit Cards

Just like cell phones, just about everyone has at least one credit card. In addition, there are many different credit card affiliate programs to choose from. Plus, you can earn upwards of $100 or more per referral with many of these programs. You could write articles about how to find the right credit card, make videos, interview experts, or whatever else comes to mind.

According to CreditCards.com, there are 364 million open credit card accounts in the United States as of the end of 2017  with 7 in 10 Americans owning at least one credit card.

It’s a competitive niche with lucrative payouts, so it will take some determination and unique angling to come up with a traffic strategy that works.

# 17: Credit Repair or Debt Relief

Many people struggle with debt and are looking for a solution. There are several high paying debt relief affiliate programs you can promote and earn affiliate commissions. I like this niche because it’s HUGE, and it keeps growing. I’d bet at least 90 out of every 100 people you meet have a TON of debt. Even if you are a small fish in this big pond, you could rake in piles of affiliate commissions.

Perhaps the only thing worse than being unable to find a job is being flat broke and incapable of bettering your financial position. Bad credit does that to people. It makes them feel ashamed, frustrated, and hopeless. It sucks every last breath of air out of the room.

The “good news” from an affiliate perspective is that this desperation leads many people to search for credit repair opportunities online. If you’ve chosen or created the right program, it could become super-successful. Better yet, you’ll be changing lives for the good.

One Final Tip

When it comes to these affiliate marketing niches, you really want to look for a product or service that offers residual commissions. Generate the customer one time and keep getting paid every time they come back and reorder.

This is why I focus on network marketing. I simply build my network marketing business like an affiliate marketing business, and get leverage and residual income. Best of all, I do not have meetings or bug friends and family. In less than 4 months I built a team of 17,000 people, all from my own home (no meetings). Learn more about what I do.
