I believe that three and six are the magic numbers when it comes to making big money in network marketing. I’ve been studying this industry a LONG time now and time and time again I’ve discovered some simple trends and patterns among successful distributors.
Most people are under the false assumption that you need to personally sponsor hundreds, even thousands of distributors, to make it big in MLM. From what I’ve found, nothing is further from the truth. Instead, I’ve discovered that “three will make you free and six will make you rich.” What I want to do in the rest of this article is expand upon that idea and tell you what you need to do, in order to succeed in MLM.
If you can find three “work horses” or people who really want to build their network marketing business, that is all you need to do to make a six figure income in this industry. Study any top earner and you will quickly see that 80% or more of their income comes from 2-3 of their legs in their organization. They might have a lot of people sponsored, but it’s their SERIOUS people that make them the big bucks.
Even better, these three people don’t have to be personally sponsored. They can show up in depth, too. So if you sponsor someone who isn’t productive, and they sponsor another non-productive person and that person sponsors a stud, YOU benefit. Your first goal is to look for THREE leaders and successful people to personally sponsor AND/OR build depth in your non-productive legs until you find a serious person in three different legs. Never forget that. I believe that having a stud 10 levels deep is just as good as having them personally sponsored (unless your company has a matrix compensation plan).
Once you have three REAL serious people to work with, you should spend your time helping them build their business FAST. Work in depth and keep building teams of customers, distributors and leaders in depth. Build each one of your work horse legs at least 100 levels deep, or until you find 10 leaders, and you will have long-term security and profits. That might take a couple years to do, but it is really worth it. Once that’s done your business will continue to grow without you.
Next, if you want to make seven figures in this industry (or walkaway income), you really need to find 6 work horses, each in a different leg of your organization. Your goal is to repeat the process I just described for your first three, with a second group of three.
Find six people who want to run with the business and you can build a walkway income. Help each leg go at least 100 levels deep, or until you have 10 leaders in each leg, and you will never have to worry about money EVER again.
Now, please don’t think this is easy to do. This will take time, energy and focus. The first thing you will need to do is sponsor your first batch of 10-20 people until you find three serious people to work with. Once you do that, shift your efforts and work in depth until each leg is 100 levels deep, or has 10 leaders. This will probably take you two to three years to do depending upon your skill-set, work ethic, and quality of distributors in your team.
Once you hit this goal, your next objective is to go out and sponsor another 10 to 20 people personally UNTIL you find another three serious people to work with. Repeat the same process you just finished with the first three serious distributors. Do that and there is no doubt in my mind that you can build a seven figure income in your network marketing business.
Final Thoughts
In network marketing, three serious people can make you a six figure income and six serious people can make you a seven figure walkaway income. Your goal is to sponsor 10-20 people as quickly as possible UNTIL you find three serious people. From there, shift your efforts and build each leg 100 levels deep as quickly as you can until you have 10 leaders in each leg. Once that’s done, sponsor another batch of 10-20 people until you find another three serious people to work with. Repeat the same process with these three serious distributors that you did with your first three serious distributors, and you can build a walkaway income in your MLM Team.

I think “3 will make you free and 6 will make you rich” is a smart concept to apply to network marketing. Just like you said, its not going to happen right away and it will take time and patience. But if you’re totally committed to something and you put the time and effort required to see it through into it, I believe it pays off in the long run.
Another good post!
It sounds like a simple process, but as Chuck stated, it does take work, patience, and time. You won’t just find 6 go-getters over night. I do agree with this principle and the best part is in building depth. Even if you have those who are just doing a little, it can add up to big money in the long run. You made it all sound so simple Chuck, but for anyone to really get a complete understanding on the ways to do it, I suggest you keep in touch with this blog reguarly.
If you could find just ONE quality person a year for three to six years, you could be financially set for life. The only question is “will you do it?”
I wholeheartedly agree with this principle: after all, it is almost always quality, not just quantity that counts. Also, while you should concentrate more effort on finding those quality studs yourself, it is usually just as beneficial to have them several layers underneath you, so long as they are ultimately part of your team (unless in the matrix pan, as you mentioned). And when you find them, treat them well.
One of the biggest reasons that people avoid business opportunities like network marketing is that they’re afraid of failure. Yes, a lot of people do fail in this business, and yes. You could also fail if you are not properly informed. Help to avoid failure in your business by learning more about network marketing strategies.
